About Us

Howdy! My Name is Brett Smith and I’m a 3rd generation Builder that specializes in custom residential and commercial tenant finish out projects. I've spent my whole life on job sites and it's my passion to help families and business owners through the complex process of remodeling, adding-on, finishing-out or building new. I'm a proud college graduate of Texas A&M's Construction Science program and have worked with some of the largest and most qualified commercial General Contractors in the area including Linkbeck, Manhattan, and Adolfson & Peterson. During this time, I was blessed to help create and be a part of some of DFW's most beloved projects including Winspear Opera House, UNT Stadium, the Centerfield Renovation of the Ballpark in Arlington, Watter’s Creek Multi-use Development in Allen, Forest Park Medical Center @ 75 & 635 in Dallas as well as many others. Wanting to share what I've learned and help fellow DFW residents and business owners on a more personal level, I started my own construction company 4 years ago and haven't looked back since... While we typically are hired to perform large scale, custom home remodels and commercial interior tenant finish outs, we can also perform new ground up construction and build a one-of-a-kind dream home on your land. If you need a contractor, I highly recommend Brett Smith. I discovered I had a water leak, and immediately called my insurance agent, and contractor. The plumber had to cut through my wood floors and concrete slab to fix the leak. Before we were able to start the job, we found a second leak, so another hole and another repair. The floors were water damaged and we had to replace the wood floors throughout the house (living room, den, and 4 bedrooms). Brett was very helpful in dealing with the claims adjuster. He handled renting a pod to store my furniture while the floors were removed and replaced. The city started installing a new water line about that time and they put up no parking signs in my yard so he had to arrange to get the pod moved. I told him I wanted the floors to be as close as possible to what I had before and he brought a sample for my approval. We ran into some other problems after the old floors were removed. My house need to be leveled on one side before we could install the new floors. He managed to get a crew to handle this despite the snow and rain. The floors were installed (they look beautiful) and he arranged to get my furniture back in the house. He handled all this and at a price that I felt was reasonable. Since then, I have had a leak in my kitchen. I called Brett and we are working together to reroute my pipes so hopefully I won't have to worry about any more water leaks. Dorothy Harris

We had our living room and hallyway painted as well as had our fence stained. All went really smooth and they completed the job in 1 day--which was impressive! They even stopped back by the house when I was seeing some spots on the living room wall and help me figure out it was only a shadow. They were great and good sports for making them come out again. I highly recommend-Brett Smith is a down to earth and very professional.
