Douglas Allen Custom Homes and Remodeling

We worked with Doug on a master bathroom remodel and had a great experience from start to finish. He brought helpful ideas to keep us on budget, made sure we stayed on track, and delivered everything on the timeline he quoted. The finished space speaks for itself — we’d absolutely recommend Doug and his team for any home remodeling project!

We hired Douglas Allen Custom Homes and Remodeling to build a large one-story extension to the back of our house. This almost doubled the size of our house. We are so pleased with the results! From the very beginning we could tell that the owner, Doug Smith, was someone we could trust. He worked very hard to make sure we were happy and well-informed every step of the way. He told us it would take about 4 months to build the extension. (We almost didn’t believe this because another company told us it would take 9 months.) The foundation was laid in August and we were moving our stuff in by Thanksgiving! We had workers at the house practically every week. His work crews and assistants were all friendly and very skilled at their various jobs. Doug’s assistant, Josh, was awesome! He is a jack of all trades and an all around great guy. We enjoyed having him around, as well as many of the other workers that worked on our house. Any issues that came up were addressed and corrected promptly. We really appreciate their attention to detail and willingness to do whatever was needed to get the job done to our expectations. We highly recommend Doug and his crew!

On time, on budget and exceeded expectations. Doug is a pleasure to work with and his crews take pride in their work.

Douglas Allen Homes was referred to us by friends who(when they found out we were on the hunt for a team to tackle our large remodel) told us to stop looking! Doug Smith and his team are incredible. With their expertise, they transformed our entire downstairs into a stunning space that boasts a new kitchen, bathroom, office and laundry room, complete with captivating hardwood floors and beautifully installed windows and front door. The attention to detail and craftsmanship are evident throughout, creating a home that is both functional and breathtakingly beautiful. Without a doubt, I highly recommend this Doug, his right hand man Josh, and his entire team of professionals to anyone seeking top-notch remodeling services. Our home's newfound charm is a testament to their exceptional work!

I recently had a shower remodel down by Douglas Allen homes. The job was done with great care, with flexibility for changes and a terrific final product. Would definitely use this contractor again, highly recommend.

My husband and I just completed a whole home remodel with Doug and could not be happier with how it turned out - it really does look like a different house! Doug was quick and efficient from day one, which was one of the qualities we appreciated the most. He also did a great job of keeping us updated with the progress and the budget as the scope changed. You can tell he and his team truly care about the quality of work being done and will go above and beyond to make sure you're happy. Highly recommend Doug for your next project!

My wife & I were looking to have our bathrooms updated in our home. We wanted to remove a tub/shower combo in our master & replace it with a walk-in shower. We also wanted to replace the guest bath tub/shower with similar set up. We first contacted one of those companies that does the tub/shower replacement by covering your existing with a prefab unit & for the walk in a complete tear out. Their price came back & they pushed my wife really hard to agree on the spot & they would then guarantee the price. I knew of Douglas Allen Homes through my job so I contacted him for an estimate. He came out & took measurements & within a reasonable time frame he provided us with an estimate that was several thousand dollars less than the prefab unit. We also got to pick out our tub & all the fixtures along with real ceramic tile for both baths, no cheap fiberglass. We were saving so much we had him replace the flooring in our master. We did all of this for less than what the other company wanted for just the walk-in shower. Of course it was not completed in one day like the fiberglass guys promise but we were very happy with the scheduling & completion for both baths. I would certainly recommend Doug to all my friends & relatives.

Doug ad his crews were great. We did a renovation of our home that included some complex structural issues as we decided mid project to add on square footage. It required adding reinforcement with overhead beams after knocking down some walls. The demo and installation worked very smooth and they all performed as trust worthy pros. Doug also installed new kitchen appliances and cabinets and completely repainted the inside of the house. All the wooden floors were replaced, hand scraped and stained to look just like we wanted. The house is much more open now, all painted and feels like a new house. I would definitely use Doug and his crew for any future Reno or build job.

Doug was the ultimate professional from start to finish, he uses the highest quality subs for all facets of his projects. We haven't experienced this level of professionalism nor quality before with our projects, and it took a lot of stress off us during the project. At the onset of the project we received a detailed bid, and that followed up with a clear project plan. Each Sunday night we received a text of subs coming each day, and every night there after would be a confirmation of time they would be arriving. From the start of the design, Doug was involved and instrumental in making all the right decisions. Doug has years of experience that we were able to rely on for advice, and the end result clearly showed that experience. We would absolutely use Doug and his crews in the future, and recommend them to anyone looking for that trusted advisor through your next project.
