Richard Dobson, owner and contractor of Bay-Marin Construction, has over 30 years experience in all phases of residential remodeling. Since its inception in San Rafael in 1995, Bay-Marin Construction has completed extensive home remodeling projects in San Francisco, Mill Valley and as far south as Woodside and Menlo Park. We are a small, "boutique" remodeling company, specializing in helping our clients get exactly what they want for their homes. We make dreams come true! We maintain the "mom and pop feel" while providing you with service that exceeds those of the big-guy contracting companies.

Wonderful contractor. He did a major remodel for me in 2013 on every room except 2 bedrooms - complete gut job on kitchen and bath. It was done in under 4 months. Very collaborative with practical orientation. Focuses on your job; delivers what he promises and does it when he says he will. Clear explanations of timeline and costs. Makes sure work is complete and high quality. He has done 2 smaller jobs since and I've been totally satisfied with every project. Highly recommend.

Richard is a great contractor! I've worked with him on three projects. On each project Richard has put together a detailed bid and schedule. He was very conscientious at managing the project cost and schedule. There were times when scope expansions happened - but they were very well managed.

Mr. Dobson is client oriented, very easy to work with, and his contracting experience coupled with his art background adds a dimension that augments design decisions.
