Exceptional end result and experience with Chapman Construction. Troy was directly involved and helped us navigate a number of unknowns, making thoughtful suggestions to ensure a quality outcome while still spending wisely. His crew was safe, conscientious, and nailed the basics - site prep, cleanup, and keeping commitments. We bundled a number of projects including bannister/railing update, kitchen countertop/tile, door replacement, trim and painting. Subcontractors were well managed with no surprises.

Cannot say enough good things about working with Chapman Construction. I had the unfortunate timing of starting my remodel in 2020. After waiting over a year for permits, costs had nearly doubled due to City's additional requirements and increased cost of supplies. I thought we were at an impasse, but Troy Chapman sat down with my architect and we worked through plans to come up with a feasible solution that met my family's needs within my original budget. They kept my budget in mind throughout the whole project, suggesting options along the way to make minor changes with big impact. We finished the whole project under budget and on time, even with new items added to list along the way. Andrew was amazing and very communicative Project Manager. Casey was great site lead with eye for detail, making sure every finish was perfect. We lived in the house throughout construction and the team was considerate of my family, keeping our space clean and separated from construction. The team asked for input and offered suggestions every step of the way. I heavily relied on expertise of Chapman team and results are beautiful. My new addition of a bedroom, office, and bathroom fits seamlessly into my 100+ year old house. Highly recommend Chapman Construction, and will definitely use again for future projects.

I have not used Chapman for construction but read the reviews and want to authenticate what is repeated about his integrity, professionalism and character. Troy served on a board with me for a non profit major in flux and disarray quite awful. He did for this organization in Central Seattle what reviews say he does for a house remodel. He could see beyond what most of us were looking and and came up with a solution that saved education for children who deserve excellence. Working on remodels are not just hammers and nails, but character, listening, and problem solving is also a key factor. I have not spoken with Troy for several years and it is refreshing to know he remains the man I met and worked with.

Troy takes immense pride in his work, which reflects in the care and patience with which he treats his clients. We collaborated with Troy to build an elaborate pavilion structure on our 100-year plus farm estate. Through multiple draft reviews, Troy embodied our vision of integrating a new structure into the existing historic landscape, blending aesthetics and functionality. Troy is a man of immense integrity. Battling supply shortages and deadlines, Troy and his team worked tirelessly to see our project to completion. I had the great pleasure of working with Troy and his team on an extensive duplex remodel in the Ballard neighborhood in Seattle. They embraced design considerations while offering sensible value engineering ideas. Despite the complexities of the COVID-19 chapter and the stresses it placed on all involved, Chapman rose to the occasion and were most responsible for keeping the project moving forward with impressively negligible impact on schedule, cost, and quality. I wish I could attach pictures so you would see what kind of skill and creative problem solving this team accomplished. They took a really weird, old and poorly built studio and turned it into a haven. We appreciate and love it every day. James and Casey particularly applied their craftsmanship and careful attention to each phase and brought it to a very successful conclusion. It took longer than we expected but Rome wasn't built in a day. We feel super confident in all that they did--with an older house, that's sometimes an issue as problem solving can take a wrong turn. Not these guys--well done, Troy!

Troy and his crew do excellent work that they take pride in and you will be proud to show off. Ours was a larger scale job and Troy managed everything from design, permitting, and execution wonderfully. Troy and his crew are incredibly respectful (of the work site and all involved), attentive, detail oriented, and most of all are clearly invested in making all aspects of the project a good experience for everyone.

We’ve had a wonderful experience with Chapman Construction. The crew does a fantastic job, they are tidy and efficient and very attuned to details. Our remodel project of a 1950's home presented some very unique challenges and we were very pleased with how Troy and Casey handled the project. Casey was the main carpenter on our job and we were very impressed with his professionalism, knowledge and work quality. We had problems with former contractors we had hired but Troy and his team were able to correct problems from those previous contractors and bring everything together very nicely. We would definitely hire them again.

It all started with a leak......We had a plumbing leak in our Edmonds house in February 2019 that leaked into our downstairs daylight basement apartment and did some major damage. We reached out to Troy for some estimates. We used him a few years ago to fix up a rental house in Hawaii we were selling, and he did a great job. Based on that past experience, we trust him, so he was our first choice. As we got into the repair estimates, my wife and I decided to do some major upgrades to both the main living area and the basement apartment including making it a legal "ADU" with the city. One of the biggest challenges was leveling the upstairs floor due to some foundation settling when the house was built 40 years ago. Troy brought in an engineer and a few subs to look at options and we went with a labor-intensive "joist sistering" process. Troy's crew pulled up the entire subfloor, leveled it out and put in a new subfloor. The end result was great - a very solid, flat floor. The work also included a full or partial demo of NINE rooms in total on the two levels including two kitchens, two bathrooms, two living rooms, etc. As part of the "ADU" changes, we removed an interior stairwell between the floors and added a second electrical panel upstairs. During the demo, Troy found two leaking windows that had to be fixed. One was really bad and required replacing some outside siding and sheathing, replacing part of the rotted subfloor and a large outside rim joist. It was quite a repair that required a man lift for two days. Overall the project took longer than we wanted (about 8 months) but this was our first remodel and we did not have much experience to base it on. We also had some permitting issues with the city that had nothing to do with Troy, but it delayed things at least a month or more. Overall it took quite a while and cost a lot, but the end result came out great. We really love the complete remodel and feel the investment was worthwhile. It feels like a new home with awesome new kitchens, new flooring, new bathrooms, and many other rooms. Troy's workmanship was great and he was very helpful with good suggestions for the many options we had to consider along the way. I'd highly recommend Troy for any home remodeling project. He has a great crew and has an extensive network of very good subs for tile, electrical, plumbing, structural, etc.

Could not be happier with Troy and his crew and the work they did! My wife and I hired Troy to re-do siding and replace windows on one side of our house after a window started to leak inside from the header. Then added to that there was quite a bit of structural rot found after work started. As new homeowners, we were not exactly thrilled with all this but Troy was amazing and guided us through the whole way, explained things clearly and always advocated for doing things right instead of cutting corners but was also very respectful of our budget and costs. We also took some of his suggestions to replace a small portico with a new one he built and to add a shingle accent to the upper part of the wall, as well as numerous other small improvements. Everything ended up looking GREAT and was done expertly. You can really tell Troy takes pride in every job he takes on and brings an integrity and skill that is hard to find.

FIVE STARS! Will be a Chapman Construction repeat customer. Troy and his team recently completed a very extensive renovation/improvement project on my Seattle home. Chapman Construction does high-end quality work at a fair price. Their attention-to-detail is superior, and Troy's integrity is beyond reproach. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Some of the specific improvements they accomplished on my home: -Home theater - Turned a bare room into a gorgeous fully-functional home theater -Home gym - Took another empty space and converted it into a professional-quality gym -Panoramic doors installed in place of a wall with windows -Outdoor entertaining area built including fire pit, paved seating area, and overhang -New porch - replaced an old rotting structure with a beautiful new one -Hardwood floors -Designer cedar fence -Hardwood bar -Interior painting and at least a dozen more projects Chapman Construction can accomplish literally anything to upgrade your home including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, decks, doors, fencing, flooring, indoor and outdoor projects...you name it.

We hired Chapman Construction to replace our second story deck after interviewing several contractors. Troy Chapman stood out from the others with his enthusiasm, creative ideas and focus on detail. From the start, he was honest, reliable and professional. He's well organized and his team are excellent (shout out to Mick!). They showed up every day on the job, left the job site immaculate at the end of each day, and finished as scheduled. Their attention to detail, superior craftsmanship and willingness to put the extra effort into the project resulted in a gorgeous deck that far exceeded our expectations!! We would hire Troy and his team again without hesitation. It was a genuine pleasure to work with them.

Our first meeting with Troy was different from all of our other bid meetings. He saw our vision for our garage renovation quickly, right down to the finish work. His bid was the most comprehensive that we received, so we felt confident that there would be fewer add ons down the line. Troy and his team are fantastic. Both Troy and Mick are smart, talented, caring, good communicators and good problem solvers. There were some unknown hurdles that arose that were resolved in the most timely and cost effective manner. The set schedule was realistic and they've worked very diligently to keep us as close to track as possible. We're very pleased with the quality workmanship and care, and will definitely be calling Troy again for future projects in our home.

We hired Troy Chapman of Chapman Construction, LLC to fix the outdoor deck and railing. Troy did a phenomenal job. The excellent work that Troy does is evident simply by taking photos of the finished project. But what other people may not know, and what cannot be known from a photo, is how great of a person Troy is in addition to his work. He is extremely personable, friendly, and professional. Most recently, Troy came over to our home to install a new baby gate at the top of our stairs. We have an 18 month old, so it was extremely important to have the baby gate replaced right away. Troy was on top of it. He made a house call and arrived after 8:00 p.m. in order to install the gate to ensure our child's safety. Troy went above and beyond. I do not hesitate to recommend Troy and Chapman Construction, LLC whenever the opportunity arises.

Troy is an excellent re-modeler. He has high quality standards. Also has a great attention to detail. The job was demanding involving rip out of damaged siding, framing and decking and installation of a whole new deck. He delivered what he promised. Is easy to work with and was very reliable at showing up at agreed times. Would definitely use him again.

Chapman Construction did an excellent job with my families whole house remodel. They were highly professional and honest with their quotes. They were very passionate about the project and it was very apparent how much they valued doing a quality job that will last.

We hired Chapman Construction for a number of custom cabinet and finish items that were out of scope for a whole house remodel. We passed on letting the prior contractor address them as we wanted to match other high-end finishes. We were so impressed with the results we hired them again for a major fencing and retaining wall project. We couldn't be happier with the results and would strongly urge anyone looking for a top-caliber contractor to give Chapman Construction a try.

While we ended up using another contractor, Troy was able to help answer all of our project questions and gave us great feedback on the other contractor's estimate to make sure we're getting fair pricing. Mick did an excellent job on exterior repair needed to replace rotting wood around windows. This repair was done on the weather side of my home. Mick took extra care in this repair to be sure it was protected from future damage.

Troy and his team are great to work with. Very accommodating to what we wanted to achieve with our project. Troy previously did a bathroom remodel for us and we were so happy with his work that we have him back out for a project that he is in the middle of now. He is replacing our siding, windows and updating our curb appeal. He has great attention to detail and we will continue to use him for any projects that we have in the future.

Troy took on a tough job - renovating our rental home in Hawaii to prep it for sale. He was on-site at the house for over a month and did a great job. He did a lot of the work himself, got all the materials, hired several subs and managed the entire project. He was very resourceful and found several local subs to help with painting, gardening, etc. It was a much bigger job than either of us imagined. The end result came out great - our local realtor could not believe the "after" result with the "before" in such rough shape. The house sold pretty quickly and we were able to get very close to asking price as a result of the good quality work Troy did and a great effort by our local Hawaii realtor, Judy Barrett.

Troy and Mick were respectful & professional while spending the better part of 8 months in our home renovating our upstairs to create a walk-in closet and playroom area, replacing our railings & bannisters, while also finishing our basement. Pricing was done on an hourly basis. Custom work was completed on a featured reclaimed barnwood wall and walnut bar top as well as the railings & bannisters.
