We worked with Courtney and Charisma Design on a high end full home remodel that we built for our client. She was an invaluable member of the project team. She worked to quickly resolve design question in a collaborative manner. What really stands out is the finished product. We hired Charisma Design to help us with drafting our plans and interior design for a kitchen/dining room/sitting room remodel. It started off really well but quickly went bad when her drawings were due. They were a month late and over double the original costs she estimated. When she let us know that the plans were complete, we let her know, we really don’t know all the details that we are looking at and made sure they were ready to be sent to the city. She confidently informed us the plans were ready. Upon taking them to the city...the contractor reviewed and said they are missing final stamps from the engineer. If that was not enough of a red flag, when we took them to the city, they were not accurate. We have an L shape house and she had the long side 6ft Off from the 90 degree bend and caused additional civil engineer work. Upon emailing Courtney and explaining the issue about not having our final engineer stamp of approval, she blamed it on the engineer himself. When we approached him and asked him for help to get his final approval, he informed us he had been waiting to hear from Courtney to receive the final blessing on the plans so he could stamp them, but he had never heard from her. It just seemed as though the planning phase of our project took a turn for the worse towards the end of Courtney’s responsibility of the project. We hired her out of trust and confidence in her professional expertise but unfortunately we would never recommend her to others.

We hired Courtney Cuschieri to design our kitchen and dining area. We couldn't be happier with the results. Courtney is an excellent interior designer with lots of experience. She has a great sense of color and style, and a great taste when it comes to furniture and decor. Working with Courtney was fun thanks to her sweet personality and sense of humor.

Courtney is a 10 out 0f 10. Her style, hard work, and can do attitude has helped me create some beautiful homes for resale over the years. I can recommend her very highly. Courtney is a true professional!

We had a tremendously difficult time working with Courtney. This project, which should have been a simple relationship from picking the materials to installation should have been 2-3 months max. This project has taken over 7 months and this was due to the lack of communication and response times by Courtney. At times it would require us to contact Courtney two or three times, within a 2-3 weeks span, until we received responses. One time is was months. She is a very nice person, thus initially we completely understood some of her reasons. However, the communication did not get better, which makes us pause to wonder if this is typically how she works. In fact, we questioned entering into contract with her and the saying of "how a relationship begins is how it ends" completely holds up in this case. I am sure there are wonderful designers within the Bay Area, thus I would definitely use your due diligence and understanding Courtney's definition of timely feedback and ensuring she has 100% customer satisfaction as her goal. In the end we like our coverings however, we also have damaged product and she has again "gone dark".

If you are in need of a Professional Designer, I would highly recommend Charisma Design. Courtney is great to work with! Detail oriented and listens to the clients needs to provide some of the most beautiful designs suitable for the room. She is always looking for new cutting edge material to use for her projects and is at the top of her game when it comes to her work ethic!

We completed a Master Bath remodel along with hardwood floor and stair upgrades, a trellis addition, a fireplace addition and an office space, in a home in Redwood City. Selections are usually the biggest delay as home owners tend to have a hard time piecing all the items together and deciding whether or not things will look good. Courtney was a great addition to the team for this project. She always kept selections on track and provided us with the information needed to complete the work. The project looks fantastic. Color selections, tile and slabs, cabinetry and design, the homeowners are very happy with the final results. We look forward to working with Courtney on another project in the future

Excellent work by Courtney. She has an unbelievably good taste so she was able to design a truly breathtaking interior and a beautiful house facade including an entry way and a balcony. She is the best interior designer that I have ever worked with. She is also easy going so the process of designing is smooth and pleasant. I strongly recommend Courtney as an excellent interior and exterior designer.
