CK Construction

We contacted CK Construction to quote finishing our basement and adding electrical outlets to our garage. The initial interactions were professional, respectful, and responsive, which gave us confidence in moving forward. After a brief delay on our end, we reconnected and were informed the quote would increase by 10% due to labor and material costs. We understood and agreed. CK issued an updated proposal and contract reflecting the new price, which my wife and I signed, along with one of CK’s co-founders and lead estimator, resulting in a fully executed contract. A project manager then visited our home, next steps were discussed, and CK collected a 15% deposit. We were told the next step would be working with a designer, something CK only allows after a contract is signed and a deposit is paid. Less than 24 hours after taking the deposit, CK informed us they were canceling the signed contract due to a “new policy” requiring a $100k minimum for residential projects, despite previously stating a $20k minimum and recently issuing other residential quotes well below $100k. Our deposit was refunded. The issue isn’t the refund; it’s that a signed contract was treated as meaningless. If a customer canceled under similar circumstances, the contract allowed CK to retain payments and charge penalties, yet CK canceled without cause. Homeowners should be aware of this before signing. Thank you to Brian and Aron for the excellent tiling job from start to finish. They gave me everything promised in my new tiled shower! They explained exactly what they would which was much more then just tiling. They had to remove the existing walls and put back new drywall new shower doors and new tile. They scheduled the dates and time and hours they needed to complete the job and were right on time and true to their word. Aron was pleasant and reliables and helped with design suggestions. He cleaned everything up and left me very pleased with the entire job. I could not be happier and will be hiring them for other jobs. I completely recommend CK!!!

CK Construction is a great company to work with! They are very communicative and reliable which can be hard to find. Our home was quite outdated when we purchased it last year and since then CK has been renovating it for us. So far they have completed our kitchen, 3 bathrooms, our den, built a new deck as well as installed new floor throughout the home. They also painted the inside and outside of our home. They do incredible work and we look forward to them finishing more projects for us which include re-framing and re-finishing an old attached greenhouse and turning it into an additional living space. When it comes to big home projects, I always want to be involved in the choices that are made, but can’t alway execute upon my vision with the professionalism I’d like alone. Working with CK was a breath of fresh air & the entire project was an easy and collaborative effort to achieve the kitchen I have always wanted! Our bathrooms are next!!!
