DO not use this company! We used them to repair water damage to a wall from a roof leak. Though the work seemed ok, the billing practices were pathetic with us receiving a final bill almost 3 months after the job was done (having paid $20500 earlier). We questioned the bill for many reasons, most importantly that we doubted they were billing properly so far removed from the project and their recollections were certainly not in line with ours. Our questions were met with resentment from Bob the owner, as if we didn't have the right to even be asking such questions. He gave almost nothing in terms of specifics...hours, materials cost, etc., saying only that he "billed by the job". When I asked to meet with him to discuss this, he commented that he could meet, but all he would do is "reiterate the bill". On top of this, he emailed, then insisted in person that his men were at our home for 2 weeks or more when we have proof that they were there 4.5 days. When confronted with this his comment was that it did not matter, they billed by the job. We paid the bill, but I would NEVER hire this company again and you should not hire them either. There are plenty of ethical competitors.

We had a great experience with Classic Remodeling. They demolished our old deck and built a new custom deck with raised pool, custom planters and a new pergola. Due to bad timing of COVID, we had some delays due to supply chain issues and labor shortages, but we are very pleased with the final product. They were great at communicating progress and expectations. It ended up taking quite a bit longer than expected and budget was increased due to rapid cost in building supplies along the way, but this was all explained (and approved) clearly so there were no surprises. Matt was our project manager and he went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. Einor is an amazing carpenter who does the work of a perfectionist! Bob was very clear in our plans and budget throughout the process. We would definitely use them again for any future projects.

Classic Remodeling was our team of choice when remodeling our house in Charleston, SC. There were quite a few quirky things about the way the house was laid out and we were super impressed with the creativity, thought leadership and collaborative way the team worked to address our wants, needs and desires and the shortcomings of the house. Everything about our experience was positive! The crew was friendly, clean with a strong attention to detail. Our project manager was a key partner and when issues cropped up we knew about them quickly, what our alternatives were and timelines were quickly adjusted to accommodate. Our designer was a great deal of fun to work with and she understood our vision from the onset. Our first experience was so great with this group that we also executed a second project in the Spring of 2020 by rebuilding our back porch. Rains and COVID were strains on the project but again communication, planning and partnership were evident in everything that Classic Remodeling did and we couldn't be happier with the outcome. The team implemented safety measures to keep the crew and ourselves safe and comfortable during the work. We have done multiple remodels over the years and our experience with Classic was top notch. We couldn't recommend them more!

Andy and I really enjoyed working with Classic Remodeling on our renovation project. We were amazed at how efficient and professional all the Classic team members were in helping us realize our vision! Classic Remodeling built a screened in porch and deck. They took care of everything: from recommending the design, securing the permits and approvals, managing the subcontractors. They carefully demolished the tiny screened in porch that came with our house and tripled the size (adding ~ 500 square feet), added a gas fireplace and space for a tv. They used quality materials and were perfectionists in completion of the construction. They stayed within the agreed to budget and delivered a high quality porch and deck in a timely manner. We would highly recommend Classic Remodeling for all home renovation and improvement projects.

I couldn’t be happier with the work that Classic did on my kitchen. Christy and Parker understood my vision from the beginning and helped me with the selections that would make the most of my space in a historic home. They also problem solved some challenging areas to make room for seating without compromising storage. When it came time for construction, Carl was meticulous in his work. He was not only exacting in his craftsmanship, but he also kept a very clean and tidy workspace so the rest of the house wasn’t in disarray. Everyone at Classic did an excellent job of communicating timing and budget so there were never any surprises. I would recommend Classic to anyone and I am looking forward to my next renovation.

Before we began looking for a company to remodel our kitchen, everyone we knew who has gone through a kitchen remodel told us we would be miserable. This was not the case with Classic Remodeling. We hired Bob Fleming and Classic Remodeling based upon a strong recommendation from a person in the neighborhood. They said it was a wonderful experience working with Bob and the crew, which is certainly not what we heard from other neighbors about their other contractors. Hence we didn't even shop around. We just hired Bob and we're so happy we did. We wanted first-class work ,and we got it. Our screened porch addition came out better than we could have ever imagined. Bob's ideas that we hadn't considered were spot-on and based upon years of experience. He also worked with us on the specific ideas we had, so it was a truly iterative process. The design process was detailed and went fast and smoothly over the course of several meetings. We knew exactly what the project was going to cost and the payment plan. No surprises. The construction process itself was a painless one. We loved our project manager(s) and all the subs. Most had >10 year history working with the company and shared the same values. They showed up on time every day, and they worked hard until they left. Great work ethic. The communication between the team was evident, and each person felt valued. Maybe that's why Bob's able to retain his employees for so many years. They are proud to work for the company and know that they are expected to reflect Bob's values/quality/work ethic, and they do. The team went the extra mile to finish on time, in spite of inclement weather, so we could host a birthday celebration. They also finished on budget. We had a small problem at the end with the fireplace, but Bob worked with his contractors and suppliers and, together, they figured out the problem--and they corrected it. Bob clearly stands by his work and wants it to be perfect ,and he wants the customer to be satisfied. We feel confident that if we ever have a problem down the line that they will be there for us. The highest recommendation a contractor/firm can get is repeat business, and we're giving it to them. We currently are in the design phase of a master bath remodel with them right now. It's a pleasure dealing with true professionals who care about the quality of their work/workmanship. We give Bob and Classic Remodeling the highest recommendation. There is no doubt that will use them, and them only, for any future renovation/addition project we might have or house we might build.

I worked with the talented designers, carpenters, and builders at Classic Remodeling to renovate the first floor of my home. What was once a nondescript space is now a stunning waterfront oasis with an open kitchen and living room that blend seamlessly with the outdoor beauty. Classic remodeled our whole house. We are very happy with the amazing finished product. Not cookie cutter in any way. Our house gets so many compliments. Not only do they perform top notch work, but they're friendly and stay on schedule.

We hired Classic Remodeling to repair a leak which fortunately turned out to be a smaller job than we had thought it would be. It still involved opening ceiling, wall and decking, replacing all and repainting. We can't even tell now where the problem was. The people at Classic are thorough, knowledgeable, and keep the job site clean. We have used them often, including for much bigger jobs, and will continue to do so should the need arise.

We interviewed in detail five contractors for our remodel and we chose Classic because of several factors, which by the way became critical in the success of our remodel. Working with Bob Fleming in the beginning to first understand the true cost of a remodel saves heartache and disappointment during the projects lifecycle. While this may take longer than one expects, trust me its worth all the time. Truly understanding the difference between ones budget, expectation and reality saves one so much time. This focus on detail did not end there, at each stage of the process before one nail was removed; we understood what our to do list was versus Classic in order that the project could be kept on schedule. Another critical component in using Classic was Bob assigns a on sight project manager and builder. This person is not only responsible in the deconstruction and construction of the job, but manages the subs assuring a time table is strictly adhered to. Our project Manager was fantastic, making sure we understood on a day to day basis if needed how the project was going. Backing the project up Bob has a team of experts who help support the project managers, make sure specific items are ordered on time and delivered. Incredibly seamless from a clients perspective, again creating very little stress. There are many details to a remodel; having Bob Fleming and his team to help one thru those details is invaluable.

Classic Remodeling did a total renovation of my kitchen a few years ago. I was so pleased with the result that I hired them again to renovate my bathrooms. Our experience with Classic Remodeling & Construction was satisfying from start to finish. We sought to renovate our 75 year old brick bungalow. Classic was recommended to us by two couples with similar accolades: they're on time, stay within agreed upon budget, do quality work, are pleasant to work with. This proved true for us. What we hadn't anticipated was benefit of using a design-build company. Owner Bob Fleming met with us, walked the house, and offered his suggestions. In a few days he presented some very creative options, in writing, which included price ranges for each. By the end of the next week we had a working plan, the projected cost, and a start date in one month. In the weeks prior to start, we meet with Bob as needed and with his guidance chose all tiles, paint colors, vanities, sinks, faucets, lights, kitchen counter top, appliances, flooring, hardware, etc. His experience and taste (and awareness of our budget) reinforced the integrated design of our house as a whole. To do this on our own, or room by room, or as the need presented, would have been daunting. The Classic team assigned to us was excellent (and fun!) and their selected sub-contractors superb. When we altered the original plan for additional work, we negotiated a separate contract for that work. We had no cost surprises, despite challenges they discovered under plaster walls and old tubs and amidst some rather ancient plumbing. We love our "new" house and remain most grateful we learned about Classic before starting a major, renovation project -- and had the opportunity to employ their services and get to know the wonderful people associated with the company.
