We had Brendan Callanan undertake an extensive (down to the studs) renovation of a 1936 Colonial house. We were very pleased with his team's work quality and timeliness along with Brendan's responsiveness. Over the approximately 18 month project, we replaced all the siding, windows, doors, roof, all HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems, most of the drywall, flooring, new kitchen, alarm systems, sprinkler systems, etc. Additionally we had extensive foundation work and room reconfigurations done. In short, Combined Construction effectively rebuilt almost the entire house. We would use him again on another project and have already recommended him to others for all types of projects.

Brendan is very detailed, knowledgeable, timely and professional. After interviewing more than 10 construction and design firms for a complete remodel and addition to my home, I felt that Brendan was the most professional, transparent and honest. Other contractors gave me a sales pitch about why they each were the best for the job. Brendan wanted to check out the details of the work immediately. I sent him all of our plans via email, and he had them printed out on large format and showed up at our house with them on hand before we'd even met in person. I really appreciate his no-bs way of dealing with customers. He shows up on time. He emails and calls when he says he will, and I really appreciate his transparent method of working with clients. This sadly was not the case for any of the other contractors I'd met, yet they all have 5 star ratings on Houzz. My advice to all of you, meet the contractors in person. And do not fall for some slick, feel-good sales pitch.

I had poor experiences with upwards of 10 Contractors before working with Combined Construction. This is the 4th time over a 6 year period I've hired Combined Construction for a remodel or repair project and although this was a smaller project in June, Brendan's crew did a phenomenal job as they've done each time in the past and thus why I have worked with the company again and again. They have attention to detail, work respectfully within the home, and have no argument to adjust to changes as they come up. In fact Brendan saved us on a master bath project on so many unforeseen issues by the designer, I can't name them all. The end result was exactly the spa/resort feeling master bath I envisioned. And lastly, Brendan fixed some of the earlier Contractors' mistakes. I will continue to rehire this company without hesitation.

I, as well as many members of my family, have worked directly with Brendan Callanan for decades. From full house remodels, new construction, to dealing with the nightmare of mold. His pricing is always fair. When one undergoes building projects I think it is important to like the people you work with and have a sense of humor. Both of these are very easy to do with Brendan. I trust him as well as the people that work for him. I am happy with the quality of the work and appreciate the attention to the small details. Brendan and his crew are dependable and show up on time and at the end of a work day everything is cleaned and swept up. I look forward to future building projects with CCS. I just hope it is not for mold!

I hired the wrong licensed contractor to do a second story addition and first floor remodel on my 2200 square foot home. I was left with a home that was uninhabitable. The walls were out of plumb, structural beams had been cut, and bolts that held the house to the foundation were missing. I then hired Combined Construction though the recommendation of a colleague. This company came in and took my house apart one beam at a time. They rebuilt my home the way it should have been done the first time. Combined Construction's attention to detail was outstanding. Their workmanship is unsurpassed. The owner of the company, Brendan, was on site daily to manage materials and schedule subcontractors. The job site was always neat and clean. This is a company that knows how to build homes, They take exceptional pride in their work. They never compromised safety or took shortcuts. Combined Construction's price was very reasonable for the work that they performed on my home. They came in on budget, and provided options when I wanted to make changes. I hope no one has to build a home twice like I did. I thought that this could never happen to me. If you are unfamiliar with construction, then make sure you hire the right company the first time. Combined Construction is a company that I would hire again without reservation.

He has great workmanship, solves problems on his own, and is pleasant to deal with. All essential qualities for a good contractor.

Brendan built my house and it is brilliantly done. It's a 3300 square foot architectural home in Marina Del Rey. I have since brought him on for many projects including fireplace refacing, wall refacing, adding well designed , gigantic window boxes to our front facade, and other projects in my office in Santa Monica. Brendan is reliable, consistent, reasonably priced and he and his guys are always very pleasant to work with. I recommend him highly! Keep in mind I have hired him for numerous projects at different rates, so the quick answers below don't pertain to many projects.
