My husband and I are both from the mid west. We bought a 5 acre parcel in 2007 and waited to build our dream home in North Scottsdale Az. After a career of professional baseball and three kids we looked for a builder that wouldn’t try and sell us a lifestyle... we already had a lifestyle... they would have to build us a well built home with a backyard that our kids could actually play in... Dan did that.. DLB did that.. meaning Kelly and every other person that has called us for the last two years. Just to check in... Ask if anything needs addressing. Who does that? You hope the people close you. When we become empty nesters and build again we won’t interview. DLB has the job.

This was a complex remodel of an old home. This included elevating the roof with relocation of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing. Outdoor landscaping I was also included. We were very happy with the results and have continued to use the company for other work. Dan Boylan is very honest, hard-working, and easy to work with.

This company is a great group to work with! After three years of working together I still like my contractor, which many people cannot say. Due to mold we had to rebuild 85% of our home. We rebuilt and added a considerable more footage. (Which was a complicated project.) We then had a tree fall on our guesthouse and had to build a new guesthouse. We have been working on the project for three years, permits, architects, and demolition have add time to our project. But DLB has been helpful and great to work with the entire time. They are punctual, run a clean job site and are helpful. I would use them again in a heartbeat. We refer them all the time. They built a great home that everyone loves! Have just finished architectural plans and have received approval from county and HOA association. Dan Boylan and his team were extremely professional in the design process and were very up to date, innovative and dependable. Their enthusiasm and support for the project was exceptional. We lived in Colorado and wanted to retire to Arizona. To prep our 1960’s home for full-time living, we had some remodeling to do. We interviewed several contractors and chose DLB Custom Homes. We had ideas and visions and Dan Boylan turned them into workable designs all while keeping OUR original ideas in mind. Long distance construction isn’t always easy, but it was with DLB Custom Homes. The communication was phenomenal! He let us know what needed to be decided, gave us time to discuss, and gave us suggestions. Anytime we had questions with anything it was a quick phone call to Kelli or Dan and our questions were answered. The coordination of the work flow and timeline was amazing. We never felt as if there was a delay or stoppage to wait for materials or crews – it was work every day. He gave us a ball park date of completion at the beginning of the project and he met it. As far as quality of work and security, we felt completely at ease with DLB and the sub-contractors they used. All of the workers were neat, competent, thorough, and trustworthy. DLB Custom Homes has high standards and those standards were evident in every aspect of the project. We can’t recommend them highly enough.

We have used DLB Custom Homes for several very large remodels; complete kitchen, master bath, living room, entertainment area, flooring throughout, & removing a half wall. DLB was fantastic to work with! Communication with DLB was as easy as can be. Dan B. was always available by phone. On the rare occasion he couldn't pick up, he would always call me back within an hour or two. I wouldn't think twice before recommending DLB to anyone needing remodel work.

There are very few things in life more important than picking the right builder to build your million+ dollar dream home. From start to finish AND BEYOND (years beyond), Dan Boylan and his team at DLB Custom Homes Inc was (and still are) truly fantastic. Every detail of the process is meticulously handled to ensure not only top notch quality, but also the 100% absolute satisfaction of the client. Looking at pictures (or in person) of their work for 2 seconds will blow you away with the level of quality, but that is only a piece of the overall package you get with DLB. I can't stress enough how much effort and care they put into the service end of things. They care about their product and helping you with things even years after the project is completed. It is extremely rare to find that level of service these days, but you WILL find it here!

Best builder; very honest and easy to work with. Has the best sub-contractors [the actual builders of a project] available. Once your project is completed you will still have DLB available to help with any issue...for years.
