I would HIGHLY recommend Dovetail Construction and their team to work on any home project, remodel, or building project you have in mind. With Dovetail, we demo'd our old home and started construction of our new forever home using the (nearly) same footprint. In this unique situation, there were naturally some challenges along the way, but their team was always solution-oriented, positive, creative and fun. Because of this spirit and their integrity, they have very positive relationships with other necessary contractors and valuable business resources. Our CUSTOM home was completed in 11 months. We couldn't be happier!

I’ve had the opportunity to construct a few residential projects with Dovetail and have been quite pleased with the process, their ability to listen, and the end results. Tim, one of the owners, greatly enjoys getting to know clients & making the building process smooth. I also worked closely with Joe, one of the superintendents, and he is awesome to work with too; he takes a lot of care to make sure things are right and look like it was intended - Top notch craftsmanship. Building a home is hard, especially when the homeowners live 2000 miles away with limited time to visit the site. Co-owner Tim Rote and Project Supervisor Joe Womack made it much easier. They communicated frequently and clearly with us, the architect, and even contacted all our future neighbors to say "let us know if you have any concerns." Who does that?! They KNOW THEIR STUFF and they have INTEGRITY. They built our home as if were their own, and we welcome them back often, as they have become dear friends. They warranty their work "forever." Dovetail was absolutely fantastic. We were building our dream vacation home from 3000 miles away. The process was seamless. They were always available for questions, 7 days a week. Prompt responses to emails and calls. worked with our crazy schedule, even for after hours conference calls and web based design. always made it work to meet with us when we could travel out to the job site. great relationship with the architects and sub contractors. They build a high quality product. every corner and connection is tight, flush and true. Very professional crew, always respectful and neat, amazingly clean job site. This home had many complicated features and detailed wood work that Dovetail made look easy. And they finished ahead of schedule! We have all positive things to say about Dovetail and would absolutely chose them again.

Their good communication made the project flow very smoothly. Along with having very knowledgeable project managers who were great to work with. This all allowed for very happy clients and a beautifully made home. The level of craftsmanship and detail that Dovetail was able to produce was very impressive. Building a home from 1500 miles away can present somewhat of a challenge. That being said, working with Tim Rote and Kevin Sullivan of Dovetail Construction in Bozeman MT was a great pleasure. The quality of their workmanship and the pride in which do their craft is remarkable. As we learned throughout this process, using old timbers in a mountain home project is not uncommon but putting them together seamlessly is not as common! The Dovetail crew were professional and perfectionists. The home that they built for us is a reflection of their experience and their dedication to using not only the finest quality of products but also the finest craftsmanship. Each time we visited the building site during the construction, the team was gracious and talkative and told us how much they enjoyed working on our home. Tim and Kevin are not only a tribute to their profession but genuinely great members of their community. We could not have been happier with the selection of our builder!

Dovetail Construction performed a complete remodel of our home, (See Spring Creek home photos on Dovetails site) a challenge made more difficult by the fact that we lived 1200 miles away. Their budgets were practical and accurate, communications were detailed, timely and concise, their construction schedule was adhered to, and move in happened as planned in April. It was a "can do" attitude through out the entire project. Dovetail is: *Craftsmanship, communication, pride, service, and commitment, made possible by Tim R. and Kevin S. professional construction educations in civil engineering and construction management, prior work experiences, life long friendship and their commitment to their clients. They are the real McCoy. I had been a commercial construction executive for 30 years and have experienced much. It has been a pleasure working with Dovetail. Companies like theirs are hard to find.
