Our apartment was renovated and three years later a pipe burst. On the recommendation of the building manager we hired Eclectic Builders. There was considerable water damage in the apartment. They reinstalled the water pipes and insulated them to prevent a recurrence. All the floors were replaced. They painted the apartment. Some of the furniture was repaired. The professionals were superb, especially the project manager, Jonas Sigle. They were easy to work with. They met all deadlines and stayed within the budget. .

Did a great job. The project came in on schedule and within budget. Change orders were handled expeditiously. Top quality sub-contractors, excellent follow up on punch list items. Could not be happier with the finished project. It's now been almost two years and it still looks good enough to publish.

When we decided to do a second, very complicated renovation of our pre-war apartment in Manhattan, we wanted a contractor with a superior skill set and taste than one we'd used for our first reno. We interviewed several recommended by our architect and hired Sean Robinson and the team from Eclectic Builders (EB), for these reasons: EB gave a specific and thoughtful estimate, time & events schedule, and made us aware that they had contingency plans if anything got bumped out of order — say, if delivery of new appliances was delayed. EB also made it clear that the deadline and budget were a commitment as important to us as it was to them. We saw samples of their work: all tasteful and skillfully done, AND, we really liked them all personally. Sean and his team were so affable and sensitive to our design goals that it was a pleasurable, collaborative experience from start to finish.
