Larry and his team did an excellent job working with us through a large renovation project, originally scoped to include two bathrooms, a kitchen backsplash, and a roof replacement. Along the way we found major stucco and framing issues that needed to be remedied, and through it all Larry was communicative and professional. I would highly recommend him to others.

Our building in Jersey City is an Arts & Crafts brick property with Victorian features. The property needed a full scale cosmetic, structural and systems renovation. The house required a contractor with a broad level & depth of experience and knowledge. And also, a discerning eye for detail and craftsmanship. Larry Lang of Lang Construction LLC was the only contractor we interviewed who was able to bring all of these multiple qualities together for our project. He maintained the original vintage features and character of the building, while successfully renovating and updating the entire property. With expert management of the construction process and coordination with the architect and engineer, Lang kept our project on time and on budget. Work included, but was not limited to: demolition, structural repairs, masonry, kitchens, baths, windows, doors, electric, plumbing, central air, painting, plaster work, woodwork, floors, roofing and exterior patio. Great great job of redoing completely our kitchen of our very old house which means that not only we have an amazing new kitchen - the kitchen of my dreams! - but our walls are now solid, insulated, the electricity is working, we are warm during the winter, etc. It is the first time for us that a contractor has completed the job as described at the beginning of the project, and this with a great attention to details: Larry came to finish every single details of the project -doing it himself when he can- and it is for me an incredible value to find somebody reliable and as picky as I am! All workers brought by Larry were the same way: used to do the job properly until the last detail. And I should mention Denise, Larry's nice wife who is architect and helped us putting together the design of our kitchen while listening to my numerous requirements. Thank you SO much for your work! We have used Lang Construction for two renovation projects in our very old home (1810). Homes of this age require careful attention to a variety of details. Lang Construction had extensive knowledge of how these items needed to be handled and was thoughtful in offering a variety of solutions for our consideration. Lang Construction was at our projects everyday until completed and worked hard to make sure we had what we needed for materials and subs to keep moving forward. They are also VERY neat at the worksite. Long story short, we are planning to use Lang Construction for one last project in our home which is the highest recommendation we can offer.

Lang Construction performed a top-to-bottom renovation of our 4000 square-foot house in center city Philadelphia in 2012. When we hired Larry, we had already learned many lessons from a previous house renovation, none more important than the need to choose the right general contractor, which we clearly did this time. Larry is a top craftsman, consummate professional, and personally a pleasure to work with. Every aspect of the renovation was performed meticulously, and Larry closely supervised his subs to make certain that every detail of the plan was executed properly. For example, the renovation design called for an open central atrium from the roof down to the first floor, with multiple skylights in the roof over the atrium, and custom wood and glass railings in all stairways and walkways adjoining the entire four-story height of the atrium. Larry carefully chose a highly skilled craftsman for that part of the project, he worked side-by-side with the sub on every detail of it, and the result was amazing. There were the inevitable situations where changes needed to be made on the fly, and Larry did not miss a beat. He promptly identified issues, he communicated them to us immediately, and he offered creative solutions which in every instance worked out as well as or better than the original plan. For example, one major surprise was that when we opened up the walls, it turned out that an entire side of the house had significant structural issues resulting from faulty original construction. This development could have been a major setback, but Larry was absolutely wonderful in helping us resolve the structural issues from start to finish. He worked closely with us to identify the problems and possible resolutions, he worked with our architect to identify a structural engineer who turned out to be fantastic, and he helped us work with the city to move the remediation work through the regulatory process. Not only did Larry fully and properly resolve what turned out to be a complex problem, but he accomplished it in what we felt was a prompt timeline in the circumstances, which enabled us to continue with the overall renovation without delay. In short, Larry is a fabulous professional and trusted collaborator, and he stands behind his work in every way. We are thrilled with everything about our new home. We would not consider hiring anyone but Larry for future projects on our house, or for a future house.

Larry Lang is absolutely the best contractor that we have ever worked with. We own four properties, and we have used Larry twice on the toughest and most complex jobs that we came across. He is a PLEASURE to work with, he has expertise on coding and architectural issues....what he doesn't know personally, he provides through his amazing team. He is on time and on budget, with a great eye for design issues too. I cannot recommend him strongly enough.

If you're looking for an absolutely top craftsmanship, Lang construction is one of the best. We did a top to bottom renovation of a center city townhouse, and the results are spectacular. Every detail was thought through carefully and executed with the experience of a master builder. Lang also has relationships with the best subcontractors in the city. Framing, electrical, plumbing, flooring, tile, HVAC, cabinetry and painting were all of the highest quality. Like many projects, there were surprises, but Lang Construction worked with us to find the best solutions with the utmost integrity and professionalism. I would not consider another builder for future projects.
