Twin Brook Construction
Basement Remodelers in Philadelphia
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsDecember 3, 2019
The entire Twin Brook team was an absolute pleasure to have complete our project for us. They were organized, timely and efficient. The guys were courteous, conscientious and professional in every aspect. My neighbors were so impressed they hired them as well. I have been in construction related business for over 40 years and had rigid expectations that were not only met, but were far exceeded. I have no hesitation in recommending Twin Brook for any project needs you have.
Hellings Builders
Basement Remodelers in Philadelphia
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsJune 11, 2013
We purchased a new home from Hellings and have used Hellings to finish the lower level as well as other projects. Ross, Barry and his whole team are very focused on client satisfaction. There are always issues to deal with in large projects and our experience continues to be that Hellings is focused on getting things done the right way. Since buying our home and adding to the original house, we've used Hellings to put in a whole house generator, to install estate fencing and will certainly have them provide a bid on a pool and patio project that we also have on our list. Hellings is not trying to be the low cost option, but they take pride in doing each project the right way.
M&K Renovations, LLC
Basement Remodelers in Philadelphia
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsFebruary 28, 2020
They did an outstanding job! Enlarged master bathroom making it double sink. Very easy to work with. Loved them so much that they’re now redoing our master bedroom closets, pulled up carpet and stained hardwood. Always on time. Need I say more?
Lasley Brahaney Architecture + Construction
Basement Remodelers in Philadelphia
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsNovember 29, 2012
Lasley Brahaney's crew did beautiful work on our new addition. They executed their tasks with skill and professionalism, handling all the details and keeping the stress level as low as possible. The workers were friendly, easy to talk to, and always willing to discuss any aspect of the project. Although our project was not a large one, the owner Marc took personal interest in making sure we were happy with all aspects of the work. We recommend Lasley Brahaney highly, and will definitely use them again if we have future construction projects.
TATCOR Building & Remodeling
Basement Remodelers in Philadelphia
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsJanuary 31, 2014
Steve Tatios from tatcor.com is first of all a gentleman who spent hours discussing my project before I even hired him. His ideas and dedication to detail was what I was looking for. In addition, I needed someone to design, draw and then take the project to completion. The work was outstanding in quality and detail. Anything we wanted to change or tweak, he was more than willing to do. The final project gets the "oohs and aahs" from friends one would hope for and our new basement is now the most fun and inviting part of the house. Multiple parts of the project were somewhat "out of the box" and Steve took to researching and handling the project. I highly recommend Tatcor.com. It is like a gourmet meal. It takes a few extra days but it is perfect when done.
A&E Construction and Design Center
Basement Remodelers in Philadelphia
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsJanuary 25, 2013
I have hired A&E Construction for both large and small projects multiple times over the past 8 years and without any hesitation, give them the highest recommendation possible. The owner of the company, Greg Fontaine, is experienced, knowledgeable, honest and reliable. Projects were always done on time and on budget and if for some reason, the schedule needs to change, Greg does an excellent job communicating the reasons. Before working with A&E, we hired many contractors over the years, and no one ever compared in terms of quality of work combined with reliability and trustworthiness. Another thing we've really appreciated about working with Greg is his ability to provide us with options and ideas if we needed to scale back on a project. Two of the larger projects Greg did for us were finishing our basement and building a poolhouse. Greg was very cognizant that we did not have an unlimited budget and worked with us to make sure we got the most for our money. Greg also does an excellent job hiring talented and reliable people that I am always comfortable having in my home. Additionally, they are very neat and always clean up after themselves at the end of each day. Lastly, and most importantly, Greg really cares about his customers and goes above and beyond what's expected to make sure they are 100% satisfied. I can't say enough good things about him and A&E!! If you hire them, you won't be disappointed.
Jibe Design
Basement Remodelers in Philadelphia
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsSeptember 13, 2017
The centerpiece of our home renovation was a floating, black walnut spiral staircase envisioned by Jibe Design principal Juliet Whelan. It is breathtaking, and brings architectural distinctiveness as well as light into our row home. The project also gave us several more feet of precious space thanks to the removal of a chimney we did not realize was behind a wall. Whelan came into our space and saw all kinds of fresh possibilities, but also succeeded at learning and honoring our aesthetic. It was a pleasure to work with Jibe Design. From start to finish, we appreciated the design sophistication, professionalism and good communication.
Dovetail Group LLC
Basement Remodelers in Philadelphia
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsMarch 11, 2014
I had the pleasure of working with Dovetail in the summer of 2012. Our choice over and above other contractors we looked into was our confidence in the workmanship and design. Going in with the idea that we wanted our kitchen to be more functional and upscale, my husband and I, knowing that we are style-challenged, wanted someone who would guide us to a design that fit the house, our personal taste, and be up-to-date and interesting without succumbing to trendiness that will look dated in 5 years. Any contractor can do a kitchen renovation that looks like the latest mock-up in Lowes or the local kitchen and bath design place. Not everyone has the style sense that Jonathon Scholl has. He worked in elements we would not have thought of and gently discouraged us from decisions that he knew we would regret later (such as we originally didn’t want to give up a cabinet for waste bucket but are now so glad we did). We worked collaboratively and were able to reuse about 80% of our existing cabinets by painting them and getting new doors made. This kept the cost down and appealed to our sense of responsible reuse. So what do our friends and family comment on the most? The gorgeous, furniture-grade island is a solid and functional centerpiece – all Jon’s design and workmanship; the tile backsplash - in particular, the area behind the cooktop – Jon’s selections (my initial selections would have been horrific in reality!); the spice drawer below my cooktop – the envy of all the cooks in my family; the lighted cabinet windows that showcase some of my favorite hand-painted pottery. After living with this kitchen renovation for over a year now, we are still delighted at how it turned out, thoroughly enjoy entertaining in it, and couldn’t imagine this turning out as well without Dovetail.
Conniff Construction Co.
Basement Remodelers in Philadelphia
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsApril 7, 2015
I contracted with Conniff Construction in February 2015, and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. As a result of a previous fraudulent contractor, I was left with a barely functioning bathroom in my home. Due to a mold issue, homeowners insurance granted us coverage for a bathroom repair. We didn't do our due diligence in selecting this original contractor (reading reviews, browsing the internet for credentials/past work, etc), and we suffered because of it. The previous contractor came in, ripped out all the walls and flooring, destroyed the plumbing, and ran off with the money - leaving us still with the mold problem and without a functioning bathroom. Conniff Construction came to the rescue and repaired our bathroom beautifully, and in a timely manner. Both Sean and John were extremely professional to work with, and had only their clients best interests in mind. They put our bathroom back together, including a custom tile floor job, reinstallment of sheetrock, rerouting of problematic plumbing, installation of new tub and removal of old tub, and most of all - rid us of the mold issue. Conniff Construction worked with us patiently while we went back and forth on design decisions. They installed all of the bathroom furniture, including vanity, mirror, and lighting. I felt extremely safe with having them work in my home alone, without supervision. They are safe and professional, and pose no risk from a safety or financial perspective. They are diligent and organized in their documentation, including their contract and estimates, and belong to multiple verified home owner's and builders associations in the state (as well as nationally). We felt very safe in their hands and we are confident we made the right decision in choosing them for our renovation. I would highly recommend them to anyone else looking for a renovation or new build in the future.
