We hired McCrea Construction to do a substantial re-model of a recently purchased home. The remodel involved reconfiguration of the interior spaces, with demolition of existing structures followed by construction of the new interior design. This included significant alterations to many rooms including the master bedroom and bath, kitchen and main living spaces. It also involved the construction of a new mudroom and laundry room area. McCrea Construction did an excellent job during all phases of the project and we are very, very happy with the result. Everyone we dealt with during the project was skilled and knowledgeable. Ted McCrea was wonderful to work with, was always available to discuss any issue and functions in his position with the utmost integrity and respect for the client. We would most definitely hire McCrea Construction again!

We chose McCrea Construction based on its reputation of delivering a great product and are so happy we did! Ted McCrea has excellent customer service skills and was responsive to all of our questions and concerns during the entire process of building, so we were never left guessing. From the onset when he gave us his estimation of costs (which were right on target) through the delivery of a well constructed and beautiful master suite, we felt confident in his abilities and ideas. He uses only the best companies to do the electrical, plumbing, painting, framing, etc., and many of our neighbors and friends have commented on the quality workmanship of our addition.

Ted has completed many projects in our Winter Park home over the years, including a beautiful and extensive patio and pool area and a full kitchen renovation. Ted does flawless work, only hires the best subcontractors and is a pleasure to work with from beginning to end. He contributes his years of expertise to the design process, and is hands on during the entirety of the project, ensuring an impeccable end product. He is thoughtful, courteous, and responsive, as well as attentive to budget and deadlines. We wouldn't work with anyone else.

We recently worked with Ted McCrea on a studs in total home renovation. We were astounded at the finished result and could not be more pleased as it turned out even better than we had imagined. Here is the scope of the work: Kitchen - total redesign with custom cabinetry, countertops, appliances, tile work, lighting, breakfast bar, and sinks and faucets. Flooring - removed all old flooring and installed wood look porcelain tile throughout Bathrooms: total redesign of master bath and guest bath with expanded cabinetry, plumbing fixtures, countertops and decorative tile work. Lighting - upgraded lighting fixtures and ceiling fans throughout, including under cabinet lighting, spot lighting in alcove, and breakfast bar pendants. Finish carpentry - installed custom crown molding, baseboards and window sills. Customized a built in bookcase niche. Replaced and upgraded all door hardware. Installed new sliding glass doors. Security - Installed a whole house security system. Laundry room - redesigned laundry room including custom cabinets and creating more space for washer/dryer. Windows - installed blinds and drapery hardware throughout. Professional window tinting. Installed new thermostat and cable outlets in additional rooms. Entire interior custom painted. Ted was always responsive to our needs throughout the process. Anything we asked him for was met with "Yes. I'll take care of it." He was knowledgeable, experienced, easy to work with and always respectful of our choices and decisions. He kept us informed every step of the way. All subcontractors and labor used was of the highest quality. The only misstep in the entire process was our fault in selecting the wrong kitchen tile, which had to be removed and replaced. All deadlines were met and the entire project completed in the estimated time frame. We will continue to work with Ted McCrea on the exterior lanai, pool, screen enclosure, driveway and garage renovation in Phase II. We highly recommend him should you need an outstanding professional to work with on your home renovation.

We used McCrea Construction when we built our house. Ted was so professional and always handled everything with care and attentiveness. We were blessed to have a builder that we trusted completely and in turn, had such a positive experience in building our home. It has been 9 years and we are still in love with our home and still carry on such a high regard for Ted and McRea Construction!

Our home was built in the 50's, and we have had several renovations done; however, there is no comparison to McCrea Construction's work. They did a complete kitchen remodel, added and refinished our hard wood floors, and put on a back porch, and pitched two leaking, flat roofs. Not only is the work aesthetically pleasing, but it was done by competent, reliable subcontractors. It has been seven years since our kitchen was redone and three since our porch was added. To date, we have not had one problem with the work done by McCrea Construction. Ted McCrea is an outstanding contractor. He drew the plans for our porch, met with Orange County to get the plans approved, and has an eye for detail. He insists that work is done to the highest standard - his own. We would never use another contractor or company, and we have recommended him to so many friends who are as equally thrilled with his work as we have been. I purchased this Central Florida home in 2013 while I was living in Georgia. It was a whole house renovation including gutting the kitchen and bathrooms, plus adding another bathroom. I continued to live out of state while the renovation was being done. Ted McRea was very hands on and maintained excellent communication with me regarding the progress of the project as well as any issues or concerns that occurred along the way. This was an extensive renovation that could not have run more smoothly. The end result is my dream home realized!

Ted McCrea did a wonderful job building my home. He was very conscious of my budget and would have weekly appointments to go over all of the bills associated with the cost of building. He would get bids from several vendors before and during construction of the home to make sure he was giving me the best options in pricing and experience. He worked well with all of the vendors and designers involved in the project. he was accessible and hands on. I would definitely recommend McCrea Construction.

Ted McCrea is the only general contractor I would recommend to my friends. He is honest, reliable and has an excellent design sense.
