Justin and his team are a DREAM. Justin has incredibly high standards for his work and that of his subcontractors. He communicates frequently and directly and most importantly, projects get done on time. This is our first remodel and I had heard horror stories from friend of working with contractors. I couldn't recommend Merrick Construction & Design more highly.

We had Merrick Construction remove 2 short walls to open the area between the living room and the kitchen. This included installing a beam to support the second story. All of the work that Justin and his team performed was nothing short of excellent. When you do a remodel that is critical for your safety and integrity of the structure you need a company that you can trust . I found Merrick Construction to be that company. We wanted to remodel our master bathroom and closet and we looked at several contractors before deciding on Justin and his team. We could not be more thrilled with how it turned out! We had a vague idea of what we wanted, and his team took it to another level; the design and layout is exactly what we hoped for. It was really important that it not look like a remodel; we wanted it to look as if it was meant to be there and not an add on. Justin and his design team has an eye for this and improved the look and more importantly the functionality of the space while staying true to the character of the house. Justin himself stayed in constant communication with us and we knew where we were at every step of the way. The project kicked off exactly as planned and ended with almost zero delays. Trust is a big deal during a remodel, and Justin earned it.

Five stars! We used Merrick Construction to remodel two bathrooms in our 1980’s era house and are very pleased with the results. If you want a contractor who is conscientious, honest and reliable give Justin a call. He showed up when he said he would, kept us informed of all progress and delays (supply chain issues) and was very diligent about keeping the house as clean as possible while he and his crew worked. Bottom line: we enjoyed working with Justin and wholeheartedly recommend him without any reservations.

Justin was very professional in all aspects on two different projects. Project #1: We had a gas fireplace removed to give us more wall space for a new entertainment unit. Project #2: We had our guest bathroom remodeled; putting in a jet tub, ceramic wall and floor tile and installed new vanity. The plumber and tiler were superb. I would highly recommend Merrick Construction & Design for your project for the following reasons: 1.Answered questions and concerns in a timely manner. 2.He contained the area on construction, minimizing dust. 3.They used tarps to cover the floors to keep tracking down. 4.I was impressed at the end of each day how they cleaned up the work area, so the house wasn’t in disarray. 5.He and his workers were punctual and showed up on time each day. 6.He is very ethical and got permits for the jobs that required them. The plumbing and electrical inspectors showed up for inspections after rough in, and then for a final inspection. 7.Justin is a hard worker and very conscientious and is very thorough and wants to ensure that the customer is happy with his work.

Merrick Construction is in the process of putting a new fountation on a tiny house that is located on our property. A new roof, new kitchen, bathroom and bedroom are all in the works. Mr Merrick is very professional, honest, kind and Cares about doing things right! He has been terrific to work with and a wealth of knowledge. I would highly recommend him! I have used Merrick Construction for 4 separate jobs in my home. Each time, I have found Justin and his team to be polite, efficient and tending to the smallest detail. Not only did I rely on Justin to oversee first-rate work, but I used his experience and ideas to come up with a great design. He came up with ideas that I wouldn't have thought of, and the end result was stunning. I felt the price given to me was MORE than fair- and was not a penny more than what was quoted. All of his team were focused on being tidy- they cleaned up after themselves every day, leaving nothing for me to do. I feel that Justin has an excellent work ethic and wanted nothing more than making me satisfied with the end result. (all the while working within the industry standards). If he hadn't relocated, I would have used him again and again for my home projects. Merrick Construction & Design do outstanding work, deliver what they promise and aim to please in every endeavor. I HIGHLY recommend them!!!!!

I've postponed home projects because of the horror stories you hear about renovations. The Merrick Team has made this much easier to do. I started with one small project and have now done larger projects, including 2 bathroom remodels, partial kitchen, family room, electrical panel, HVAC system, patio cover. What I like is that Justin and the team pay attention to detail (even impressed by construction type husband). They LISTEN to what I want and tell me what can be done, and if it can't, they suggest alternatives. They are also good at working within budgets. The team shows up when they say they will, do a great job of cleaning up at the end of the day, can deal with pets by masking off areas of the house to prevent escapes. They also have great personalities which makes it much more fun while dealing with noise, dust and interruptions.

I have used Merrick Construction & Design twice now and have been so pleased with the whole process both times. Any sort of renovation can be extremely stressful, but not with Justin Merrick and his team. They went above and beyond to make sure I got what I wanted. All of Justin’s team were true professionals- showed up on time, kept me informed of what was happening, cleaned up after themselves and even paid close attention to Covid precautions. All of the work was well done, exceeded code regulations and plainly made me happy. I can’t say enough about the great work ethics that Justin instills in his team. A great bunch of guys. Justin is very professional. We needed work done on our kitchen and at the time my mother who was very ill was living with us and the work was being performed around her space. Justin was able to perform the work without having to move my mother to another room. Which would have been very difficult. The work performed met all expectations. We are planning to hire Justin again to remodel a bathroom. Highly recommended.

Justin and his team helped us with our kitchen remodel work. The team at Merrick construction is extremely professional and courteous ( which makes the whole experience of working with them phenomenal!!). There would be times we would message Justin late at night and he would agree to work on things next day at 6 am. AND he would arrive at 6 am ! This was a huge relief for us - especially when its a high traffic area such as the kitchen, and the fact we could trust Justin to always show up and take care of things at hand. The pricing is very competitive and Justin is very honest and upfront when determining the scope of work and timelines attached to that scope of work. This is important when planning major remodels / renovations. The crew was very respectful of our time , and would ALWAYS leave the space clean and ready to be used. We are very glad to have met Justin and his crew and would hire them again

I have done two complete bathroom remodels and one more on the way with Merrick Construction and Design. They provided top notch craftsmanship, on time appointments and work days, excellent clean up in between work days, took all safety precautions while in my home and followed all Covid guidelines while in our presence. I will definitely use Merrick Construction for any other projects or remodels in the future. Justin is extremely professional, knowledgeable and does excellent work. He listened to what I wanted and accomplished the job.He even gave me some great suggestions I hadn't thought of. Justin also built me a shed to house a generator. It is so nice one could even make it a playhouse once the generator is gone. Justin is a real pleasure to work with!

They do quality work, with excellent subs that were knowledgeable , courteous, efficient and never left a mess at the end of each work day. Good design ideas and put you at ease because his people have many yrs in the trades doing exceptional work. Good on timing even being stuck with the Covid-19 stops and starts, was always clear and concise on timing and when things could be completed on time. When we originally called and he viewed the site, he saw things that needed to be repaired that could have been a problem in the not too distance future. We had not done any major work to our house in 25 years and were concerned about the outcome but were truly happy with the final product
