Olympian Builders

My Family hired Olympian builders, to remove wallpaper, plaster and paint the Living room..Initially the painting was ok...but when i inquired about additional trimmings that was part of the scope of proposal, George, the contractor wanted an extra $300.00 to do his work that was part of the original price. I had no choice but to pay.!..When the painting was done, a few weeks later the plastering done by Olympian Builders, was cracking and bulging? It was not structural,,,it was shoddy plastering and poor workmanship on this company. I have called numerous times to Mr. George Halitosis., to explain about this poor plastering, and Mr. Halitosis, could not give a flying crap about coming back to my family's house to retouch and re plaster the walls? He makes up every excuse in the book that he is busy , and he has no "desire to come back to my house to finish this work"? Truly not happy about this.!

We engaged Olympian Builders to renovate our co-op apartment in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn. They were professional and responsive, the quality of the work was excellent, and the workers were interested in the project and did a fabulous job.

We hired Olympian Builders to do a complete gut renovation of our kitchen, which is a one wall kitchen in a small one bedroom in a 4th floor walk up in a Brooklyn brownstone. I had somewhat well thought out designs I had done myself and sourced all materials from the internet and the team from Olympian put it all together beautifully. From the custom fridge cabinet to the complete re-do of the plumbing under the sink, they did it all. They also built us a radiator cabinet as well as installed all of our ceiling fixtures. The final product came out great, and we only had about 1 week when they couldn't work because we were waiting on supplies. Communication with Olympian was easy. We worked with Georgio, he handled everything and was always responsive, no matter the hour or how crazy my requests or changes were. Always treated me fairly and with respect. I'm sure if I had worked with a designer, it may have be easier for all of us, but I did it myself and Olympian was a great partner in the process. Would highly recommend Olympian, just based on the communication and feeling like we were always being treated fairly alone, not to mention the great work ethic and willingness to do the impossible. We hired Olympian Builders to gut-renovate our bathroom, redo the kitchen floor, and paint the living room and bathroom. The bathroom work was extensive and involved demolishing the whole room, redoing and tiling the walls and floor, redoing and painting the ceiling, replacing all fixtures and cabinets, and installing a sliding door. Here is our experience: 1. Olympian Builders delivered the work that was agreed upon. Everything was done with great quality and care. A few minor price increases were agreed upon during the construction; otherwise, there were no unilateral price increases, no surprise bills, and no significant delays in completing the work. 2. Georgio Haliotis was very accessible in person and over the phone. He was at the apartment frequently, spoke to us regularly and was in constant contact to discuss updates and details. When we sought alterations or modifications (which were minor and infrequent), he was very responsive and prompt in addressing our requests/concerns. 3. All the workers arrived early, worked hard, were pleasant to deal with, and responsible with handling items in the apartment. We would definitely hire Olympian Builders for future work and would definitely recommend them.

We engaged Olympian Builders for a rather large project in our condo. We had a new double-oven installed in our kitchen that required altering the Corian countertops to fit the new appliance into place. This also involved moving the gas line to accommodate the position of the new appliance as well. The kitchen was wallpapered and painted. We also had crown molding installed throughout the apartment. A large part of the project involved other parts of the apartment which required installing and refinishing sheet rock, priming and painting to match the rest of the space. Our den, which required extensive repairs, required removing and reinstalling two walls of custom cabinetry. Georgio Haliotas of Olympian Builders was very gracious, thorough and knowledgeable about the tasks at hand. Georgio was always available throughout the entire project. His crew was prompt, clean and accommodating. Each craftsman employed paid close attention to every meticulous detail. The custom cabinetry in the den looked as if it had never been removed. We would not hesitate to use Olympian Builders in the future and cannot recommend them enough.

They did an excellent job on my renovation and I highly recommend them. I have used them more than once and have always been satisfied with the quality and the attention they give. .

We hired Olympian Builders for a near gut renovation of a 3-story house in Brooklyn, and overall our experience with them was excellent. The minor frustrations and unexpected needed work/delays that come with renovating an old house are a part of the process, but Georgio is fair, honest & responsive, and we always felt that he was on our side and doing his best for us. The guys on his crew are great too, they showed up on time without fail and worked hard all day every day. They even came back to take care of minor fixes that arose after the project was done without question. End result: we have a beautiful home we love that looks great and works great. We would absolutely recommend Olympian Builders.

I had an ongoing leak in my basement for years and finally decided to find the source and fix it after many attempts to resolve the problem from the inside. Georgio and his team found the source from the outside, which I hadn't considered, and fixed it for a reasonable price. He also didn't try to sell me on an expensive french drain which would have resolved the problem but at a much higher price. He also did a great tiling job in my hallway that I get many compliments on. I would recommend him for any level of renovation. His team was very nice as well and were respectful of my space.

Georgio is great. He was easy to work with and responsive. We had Georgio and his crew do a gut reno on two bathrooms, and were very happy with the results. Throughout the project Georgio was clear in communicating with us, stuck to the budget, and made numerous helpful design suggestions that improved the final product.

Amazing work, craftsmanship and customer relation skills is how I would sum up our experience with Georgio and Olympian Builders. We hired them after an extensive bidding process to demo and remodel our three-story townhouse which we tore down to the studs, dug our ground floor lower to have higher ceilings and completely removed and re-did our top floor -- they even took the original 100 year-old beams from the removed floor and refurbished them into an amazing dining table which we still eat on everyday and love. Any concern we expressed was always dealt with in a very professional, diligent and straightforward manner. Anyone who came into our home always asks who did all the great work and anytime we needed them again in the future for projects big or small they would be at-the-ready, and it for these reasons and more I would recommend Olympian Builders without reservation.
