When challenges arise they are prompt to come to site and come up with solutions which is what separates an average vs great builder. My project was a net zero duplex project sold to new home buyers and the homeowners have only had positive things to say about the energy efficiency and corresponding bc hydro bills, as well as comfort, of the home. We recently moved into our custom home built by the Averra team. We are thrilled with the finished product and are thoroughly enjoying our new home. The scope of the project: We worked with Averra for over 3 years from the very beginning of wondering if a particular house was suitable for what we envisioned – before the house was purchased - to the completion of the project. They facilitated our connection with the architect and designer who developed the working plans for our idea. Once we had the required permits, Averra brought the plans to a reality through a complicated renovation, converting a pre-1940’s single family home to a duplex. The work included a house raise and the integration of existing structure and roof with the new, creating a new house footprint, configuration and roofline. Our experience: Transparency and communication are important qualities to us and they are important values to Averra, as well. We enjoyed a good working relationship where questions were answered and problems solved as they came up. The overall cost, although more than initially predicted, came within the range we had expected. The quality of the work was excellent. We have no hesitancy in recommending Averra to our friends and acquaintances.

Working with Guy and Gavin was fun! Averra Developments renovated our 1950's bungalow in 2013/2014 which transformed our inefficient, chopped-up house into a modern one that makes sense and is lovely to live in. They were professional, easy to communicate with, associated themselves with great sub trades who were a pleasure to deal with and were willing to entertain our changes and ideas. They worked hard to keep us on budget - which we really appreciated. We'd definitely use them again and would readily recommend them to anyone who asks.
