Nick Bertram Custom Builders continues to address all concerns and minor issues that arose since the occupancy of the home. No significant issues have been encountered. All minor issues have been resolved promptly and effectively, resulting in satisfactory outcomes. Nick Bertram Custom Builders maintains a high level of availability and transparency throughout the project. The company has ensured that all subcontractor work was completed and met the desired standards. Subcontractors and visitors alike have expressed their admiration for the exceptional quality of the home and the overall construction process. We recently purchased a newly constructed spec home by Bertram Builders, and the level of craftsmanship and attention to detail is exceptional. From the moment you walk in, there’s a clear sense of quality. The millwork, cabinetry, flooring, and finishes are all beautifully executed, with a level of precision you don’t typically see in spec homes. The coffered ceilings, exposed beams, and architectural details like the arched openings really set the home apart and give it a custom feel. You can tell a lot of thought went into how the space is laid out. The main living area is open and filled with natural light, and the flow between the kitchen and living space feels seamless and intentional. The entire experience, from initial walkthrough through closing, was smooth and professional. It’s clear that Bertram Builders takes pride in their work, and that shows in every part of the home. We are extremely happy with our purchase and would highly recommend Bertram Builders to anyone looking for a thoughtfully designed, high-quality home.

We are beyond happy with our new home and had a wonderful experience with our builder. Even though we did not work with him from the very beginning of the build (it was a spec home), it was clear from the moment we saw the home that so much thought, care, and talent went into it. We absolutely love the layout, the attention to detail is incredible, and the design is truly breathtaking. The materials and quality craftsmanship are top-notch, and every part of the home feels beautifully done. We are so grateful for the work that went into creating such a beautiful home and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a high-quality builder.

Bertram Builders did a wonderful job for us. They built a two story structure with a two car garage, full kitchen and bath and two large rooms we use as home offices but can be a bedroom and living space down the road. We really appreciated how well Nick communicated with us during the planning and construction. Nick knew exactly what we wanted because he listened to us. That was important because the structure is being used for one thing now but will allow us to use if completely differently down the road. The quality is great and it is beautiful, too. Madison helped us with all the design decisions and she was amazing. We were very happy with the process and grateful for the beautiful finished product.

We were impressed by how smoothly our projects with Bertram Builders have run, and how respectful they were of timelines for other trades persons and contractors. You will not have a more personalized experience with than you will with Bertram Builders. Every single detail from beginning design until final walk through is truly custom and that's not always true with other custom builders. Nick is very knowledgeable, personable, and patient during the entire process. He also utilizes high quality subs to meet his expectations for every detail. He effectively communicates every step of the process giving "heads up" information on timelines of what's to come in the short term and in the long term when necessary. This includes ample time for customers to make their selections. He uses high grade materials and provides in range budgets so more selections are available without excessive change orders. In our build there were many details he did not at our request there were incredible - interior arched doorways, raised basement ceilings, increased number of spickets for each side of the house, landscaping / grading stone, electrical and plumbing upgrades, and the list goes on. Nick worked directly with our subs for the inground pool, audio / video (AV), and aluminum fencing. This was an excellent touch which streamlined the information flow avoiding delays due to miscommunication. If we had an impromptu idea, he was quick to provide a cost guidance so we could make an informative decision, and we never once felt we were upsold. Change orders were always reasonable. On more than one occasion his subs went above and beyond we believe because of the positive relationship they have with him. They all spoke highly and were also so pleasant to work with. The subs that we chose for the pool and AV were also complimentary of the pleasant nature and communication with Nick. They highlighted how quickly the build was completed and how good everything looked. One of them mentioned to us Bertram Builders is quickly becoming one of their favorite builders to work with. This build by far exceeded all our expectations. There was honestly not a single moment of frustration. That's pretty incredible. We had been looking to custom build for over 6 years and didn't commit partly due to Covid. But within that timeframe we met and researched most every other custom builder in the area. This is why we are highly confident is saying Bertram Builders is one of if not the best in the area.

Truly cannot recommend Nick and Bertram Builders enough. He exceeded any and all expectations! In a process that can quickly become stressful, he made the entire build enjoyable and effortless. We are more than thrilled with the finished product. We will absolutely use Nick again for any future build projects.

As an interior designer, I've worked with builders and many contractors. Nick is by far one of the best out there. Building a custom home requires endless decisions, details, and deadlines but nothing is missed with Nick. You will get a home that is well built and beautifully done. When we first laid eyes on our Bertram build we fell in LOVE. The house was not just beautiful, it was built with quality. You could tell the building process was not rushed. We even heard that the builder(Nick) was constantly on site and making sure the contractors were doing good work and that’s not very common. Nothing about our build is basic, from all of our bathroom fixtures to our basement bar to even our beautiful office window…everything is chef’s kisses. When we had the home inspection done during the buying process, the inspector who is very great at his job (trust me I did my research)told me that our home was very much well built (he kept asking who the builder was)than the other homes he had previously inspected that were all built by a very popular top tier homebuilder in the Centerville area and that was all I needed to hear. Finally even after we moved in, they would still take care of any little Knick knack right away. Try Bertram Builders you won’t regret it because I’m not.
