My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

My name is Andy Becker, owner and president. Stonegate Custom Homes focuses on custom building relationships with honesty and integrity. My unique combination of education and experience will provide a custom home building experience of the highest level. Our top priority is to build a lasting relationship with each customer. Brian Ophoff founded Stonegate Custom Homes. Like me, Brian had a passion for construction that began with his grandfather, father, and uncles. We couldn’t be happier with our new home and the process of building it with Stonegate Custom Homes. Brian was great to work with - very responsive, available and transparent the entire way through. Whenever we had questions, Brian always took the time to explain whatever it was so that we were fully aware of what we were getting. When we sold our current home faster than expected, Brian was very accommodating and was able to meet the quicker deadline, saving us a lot of trouble of otherwise having to move twice. Overall we’re happy with the experience and if we had to do it all over, we’d absolutely choose Stonegate again!

Brian with Stonegate did an excellent job constructing our new home on time and within budget. His knowledge of the industry, local subcontractors and suppliers was instrumental in the successful completion of the project. We really appreciated his willingness to be flexible and make time sensitive changes when appropriate.

We currently live out of state and purchased our new Stonegate Home in October in anticipation of retirement in February. We were immediately impressed with the quality of the home and the professional manner in which we were treated. The home was in the final stages of completion and we made several requests to personalize it. We had to trust that the builder would follow through as promised even though we would not be present. We were not disappointed. Everything we asked for was done, we were kept up on the progress and the builder was very responsive to adjustments we asked for. Our contact person was Brian, who is also the owner of the company. He made it clear from the start that he wanted us to be happy with our new home. He was always prompt in responding to us whether by phone or email. He listened to our needs and made helpful suggestions throughout the process. We are very excited about our new home and would highly recommend Stonegate.

My husband and I had the opportunity to work with Brian in October of 2014 when we hired him to build our home. Brian and his crew are very efficient and produce quality homes. His attention to detail is profound and perhaps the best thing is his transparency. Everything was detailed in the budget honestly and accurately, so that we knew exactly where our money was being spent. We are extremely pleased with the quality of our dream home, so much so that we have hired Brian again to finish our basement this Spring. We would recommend Brian for any of your home building needs.

I have had the opportunity to work with many builders during my career of selling new construction homes, and working with Brian is always a pleasure. I would like to say that Brian is a great communicator as well as wealth of information. His attention to detail in each of his homes plus his caring attitude toward each of his buyers is heartwarming. Moving is a stressful venture and everyone has deadlines--when Brian says your home will be done--YOUR HOME WILL BE DONE!!! The amazing part of working with Brian is if you have a question or problem after you move in, he is there to answer your question or solve the problem. Yes---there still is a full service general contractor that takes pride in his creation and cares about his buyers!!

Working with Brian enabled us to build the home of our dreams. In the beginning he met with my wife and me to explain all of our options and help us pick a layout. He encouraged us to do our research to figure out what we wanted. He was very patient with us as we revised our plans numerous times. Once construction started he held our hands throughout the process. Day or night, he was always available to answer questions or address our concerns. His sub-contractors were all very professional and were eager to answer our questions. If we ever build again we will use Brian Ophoff and Stonegate Custom Homes.
