We engaged Ms. Appleton for a home remodel. She did a rough pencil sketch for us (she said she doesn't do 3D renderings and is "old school") which did not meet our needs. We asked her to hold off a little while so we could do some research and figure out what we want before wasting a ton of money going back and forth on new drawings. Then when we tried to reengage her to get started, she said she'd send us some times to meet up and then blew us off entirely. Over a month later I get a bill for $425. For an unusable pencil drawn sketch.

I love Cathy Johnson Appleton for so many reason! She was my business partner in Appleton Clark Interiors for more than 11 years! We've laughed, we've cried, we've driven each other crazy and we've loved each other for a lifetime! She's my best friend and I can't imagine life without her! She's the most amazing designer I know! I wouldn't dream of doing a design project without her, including in my own home! We recently moved to the beach and changed our whole look! Every time I come home, it's a Pinch Me moment... I can't believe I live here and I don't want to leave! Thank You Cathy for making me feel about my own home the way our clients always felt about theirs! #lovingitforlife

My first mistake in decorating my 5,000 square foot office, was not calling Cathy Appleton FIRST! I first called a local decorator in Atlanta whose resulting "reveal" of the decorated office made me cry. Then I called Cathy at Appleton interiors. I spend at least 60 hours per week in my office and I wanted it to be a place where I wanted to spend time. After Cathy and Appleton Interiors became involved, my office is gorgeous! In fact, I have a hard time getting visitors to leave my office and EVERYONE who comes in comments on the fact that this is the most beautiful medical space they have ever seen. From the paint colors, to the art work and the little touches of décor, curtains and even our logo, Cathy has captured my taste in ways that I could never have imagined. I cannot wait for Cathy (Appleton Interiors) to decorate my home.....maybe I will then spend more time there! Cathy worked within the budget provided and even accomplished the task of this office space in 3 different blocks of time in order to make the costs easier, yet the space looked great with each block. I love being in my office!!! We are taking on more space soon and I truly look forward to what she does. I have attached a few before and after photos - - - it will be quite obvious which ones were the BEFORE and those which are the AFTER. The only other comment is that my poor quality telephone photos do not serve Cathy's decorating the deserved justice yet they still capture the beauty.

I've been working with Cathy for several years during the holiday season for decorations. I shared with her that I was working on opening a coffee shop and was looking for a designer. She reminded me that was her profession and we started promptly working on the design. It was truly a pleasure working with Cathy on the coffee shop project. She was the consummate professional. She was always ready to accept and suggest changes that are sure to come during the design process. Her demeanor was consistently pleasant. Cathy helped shape the project into an unforgettable experience. I receive compliments on the clean lines, the choice of colors and the inviting atmosphere. We bought a new, completely unfurnished 3000 sq. ft. home in early 2003 in Solivita, a 55- and older active retirement community in Poinciana. We hired Appleton Interiors to furnish and accessorize our home. We were snowbirds then, so Cathy had access to our new home while we were up North. She and her team took our blank slate and turned it into a beautiful place to live. They did everything, from choosing and arranging for painting and wallpapering, upgrading lighting fixtures, purchasing and installing all of our furniture, ceiling fans, window treatments, replacing carpeting with tile in the living/dining area, adding area carpets to the other tiled areas, designing and installing very attractive office furniture for our home offices, and even selecting outdoor furniture for our front porch and lanai. When we later converted our screened lanai into a completely closed-in, glass 4-season sunroom, they furnished that room as well. All of this work was completed in our personal style preferences, which Cathy was able to glean beautifully from discussions with us. We couldn't be happier with the result, and our home is just as beautiful today as when the work was completed. In fact, our home was featured in a six-page photo spread in Open House Magazine in 2007. Appleton Interiors was a pleasure to work with throughout the project. Cathy Appleton, owner of Appleton Interiors, is an exceptional interior designer. She first helped me several years ago with rearranging the living and dining room areas for a better feel to the house, window treatments, and adding a flair to the tray ceiling in the dining room. She also made changes to the foyer making it more inviting and welcoming. I am still so pleased with everything that I have made no adjustments or changes and probably never will!!! Last year, she designed and installed window treatments for the library, front game room and guest bedroom, dressed up the front porch so it looks inviting and absolutely fabulous, and added cornices to the master bedroom. She is wonderful to work with - listens to your wants and your budget and makes you feel comfortable from the start of the project to its completion.
