I worked with Kaitlyn on redesigning a bathroom and was so impressed by her poise, professionalism, flexibility and creativity. She was an absolute joy to work with. I look forward to working with her again on future projects!

My wife and I cannot recommend BasicSpace (and owner Kaitlyn Payne) more highly. We originally had Kaitlyn work on designing an addition to our house. We loved the work so much that we had her come back after we purchased an old Carriage house, Kaitlyn was quick to "get it" when we described our ideas and concepts, making us comfortable that our vision would be executed properly. She incorporated contemporary design elements we desired while still honoring and preserving the legacy of the original home. Most importantly, Kaitlyn was professional and a pleasure to work with. In any project, things come up; its how those challenges are dealt with that separate the good from the bad designers, and in that regard, Kaitlyn gets our highest praise. Not only did we enjoy her design work, but she was also instrumental in helping us manage the builder and his subs. Kaitlyn went above and beyond to keep them on task and adhere to the schedule. She is the best!

As a general contractor working hand in hand with Basicspace has been a pleasure!! Kaitlyn has worked with us on several projects and she is always attentive to detail and is willing to walk our clients step by step through their renovation. She has completed several project set drawings for us that we used to develop at least three different projects and she is currently managing the complete design and build process of our next project. Her designs have been paramount in showing the client exactly what their space is going to look like as well as giving us a road map to follow and her professional advice has helped avoid many possible design flaws.
