Working with CDG was a successful delight. As someone who typically goes solo on interior design / home refresh projects, I realized that this guesthouse makeover was going to take professional input as it required rethinking how the interior was laid out. Kimberly's ability to objectively stand back from a space and see its potential is invaluable. It's as if she sees the space without walls, without doors and other impediments to flow. Because this is a smaller area with challenging wall heights and ceiling lines, Kimberly's vision and expertise completely energized and optimized a previously drab and confined guest lair. Kimberly's eye for design is similarly constructive and creative. She encompasses scale, color, texture, and intent into her guidance which, when combined with restructuring of the interior layout, brought life and the exact vibe I was searching for -- a peaceful sense of escape from reality for our guests. I am content knowing our family and friends now have a beautifully crafted zone in which to stay while visiting us. This project was such a fun collaboration that CDG is now helping me through another even more complicated project -- a complete kitchen refresh.

I cannot give enough rave reviews to Kimberly Lynch at CDG! She is an amazingly talented designer, super creative and and an absolute pleasure to work with. I have had the same brown leather sectional for years, and knew I badly needed an update for our living area/TV family room, but had no idea where to start. I was overwhelmed by all of the options, and because this is our main family living area, wanted to make sure we got something of quality that we would love for years to come. Kimberly came in very prepared and presented several options, knew the right questions to ask and got to know my family's design tastes. She has exquisite design taste, knows good quality, and came prepared with several amazing suggestions. She really takes her time in getting to know you and your tastes and aesthetic. I get really nervous about buying new things because I can't visualize how it will fit or look in the space. Kimberly alleviated all of my concerns immediately and measured out our space to ensure a perfect fit. I was wanting to go with a lighter fabric to brighten up the room, but Kimberly suggested some slightly darker hughes I never would have considered that we ended up going with, and I could not be happier. She designed my couch from scratch and knocked it out of the park!! She took into consideration the other elements of the room, granite colors, flagstone fireplace tiles, and helped us pick the absolutely perfect couch for our family that we will enjoy for years to come. It even picks up on the colors from the furniture in the adjacent room, which I wouldn't have ever thought of, making our house look like it was professionally staged, but still comfy and luxurious. I literally cannot say enough good things about my experience with Kimberly. I recommend her 1000% and will be utilizing her firm and talents many more times to come!!

What great experience we had with Kimberly! She was so positive and easy to work with, we don’t know what was better, her design capabilities or her understanding of the trades and logistics involved with a complicated project involving many different materials, some quite exotic. Kimberly’s enthusiasm for the project was tempered by her patience when challenges occasionally occurred. She was quick to make adjustments needed to keep the project going but not compromise the integrity and quality, and delivered an amazing result for her client. Kimberly happens to be an old friend, but that's not why I'm writing this review. I'm writing because I'm thoroughly impressed with her innate abilities with spatial planning. The first time I became aware of this gift was when she walked into my home for the first time, learned about our plans to remodel, and literally within minutes offered layout suggestions that not one of the contractors we had met with to date had thought of to solve our design challenges. It didn't involve adding square footage to our space, it was just an intelligent reformatting of our existing space. The second time Kimberly was in town (we live @100 miles apart), outdoor space was the current project on our minds at home. And again, immediately she had a vision of a plan that incorporated my wishes, was cost effective, environmentally friendly, and aesthetically pleasing. This time, she sent beautiful drawings of the ideas we discussed for me to share with my husband. The ideas that originated with Kimberly are now coming to fruition in the form of a remodeled bathroom, new powder room, and outdoor space with hut tub. I give Kimberly the credit for finding solutions to complex problems that others struggled to solve. It's obvious to me she is passionate about her work, it's something that comes easily to her, and she's very good at what she does!

CDG (Kimberly) guided us safely through a potential ‘remodel storm’. Her flexibility and energy were key as we resurrected a tired rental property after a long term tenant move-out. She showed us the value of more sustainable investment in ‘non-carpet’ flooring, appreciate the impact of proper lighting in a space, and readily defused our tension w humor. CDG was instrumental in guiding us with the conversion of our guest room into a private attached efficiency unit.
