Christopher is indeed a rare find. In my humble opinion, he is the definition of excellence in interior design. He is an experienced, discerning, and friendly interior designer with excellent communication and customer service skills. He was both professional and personable in all of his interactions throughout the process of furnishing our master suite and main floor family room. We wanted to stay within our budget, and create an inviting space for family to gather. Christopher helped us accomplish these goals.
After coming to our home to measure and see for himself our living spaces, and our existing furnishings and finishings, Christopher learned about our lifestyle needs by listening carefully and asking clarifying questions in a conversational and friendly manner that reflected both his care and his professionalism. By first creating a plan, a layout of our room (a tricky shape), he was able to help us create an inviting space to encourage more family interactions and conversations, which was our main goal. In addition to re-imagining our space, Christopher helped us discern between fabric types, colors, styles, and comfort preferences by showing us furniture pieces and fabrics, listening with care, and sharing his knowledge and expertise with us.
A few months after delivery (when they set everything up), we were not completely happy with the factory cushion stuffing of the cushions. Because of the fabric we chose, the stuffing seemed to flatten out and show crinkles. When I called Christopher to ask him about this and sent photos, without hesitation, he arranged to have their service manager come out to see what it was we were concerned about. Cottswood then promptly picked-up the cushions from our swivel chairs, sofa, and custom decor pillows, took them to their warehouse to add stuffing to increase their fullness, and redelivered them within a matter of a few days. Months later, the cushions are holding their shape with lots of wear from a large family with many gatherings.
In the end, Christopher helped us to pull together a relaxing, inviting, comfortable, and cozy space that mingles well with our existing pieces and decor. We now have a piece in our master suite than meets our needs and fits our space, and a well laid-out place for gathering friends and family that we love and use everyday. Christopher made the process easy and fun, and we will enjoy this space together for many years to come! We are happy to recommend Christopher to anyone who would like to create a well-designed functional calm and relaxing space in their home.
