My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Daniel House is a home design studio based in Portland, Oregon. Using classically inspired design principles, we envision, plan, and construct custom spaces for clients around the world. By intimately studying the homes we work in, we build spaces that celebrate human character and give credence and purpose of the space. Our spaces are attentive to original form, inspired by the world we live in, and comprehensible to those who inhabit them.

We hired Daniel House to design a major kitchen remodel in late winter of 2016, and couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. The design was absolutely compatible with the style of our house, used materials consistent with the era of construction, and added both striking beauty and functionality. And while we really loved the design, Peter's consistent involvement with the project was arguably the most impressive (and useful) part of this project. In 27 years living here, this was our third significant renovation, and we've never had a designer on-site as frequently as Peter was to monitor progress and keep an ongoing dialogue with the contractor. (Don't underestimate the value of this!) And while he's clearly smart and gifted, he was also very pleasant and easy to work with.

I chose Daniel House to renovate my new home because of the personalized care for their clients and their expertise as it relates to form, function, and aesthetic. Daniel House is not just a choice among the marketplace of designers/contractors/builders/renovators... they're in a league of their own. I bought this older house knowing that after Daniel House gets their hands on it, it will become a home. I'm currently in the midst of a two-year renovation with them, beginning with the floors. I have been so pleased with all their selections they have made for the house -- it has transformed the space already in this first phrase.

Commented: GRAY WALLS AND COLORSounds to me like wallpaper would be a good option for one or more rooms. I have done projects with gray walls and darker gray bases. It can become a bit monotonous, but I think it would be successful...
