My husband and I were incredibly lucky to have come across Debbie when we were looking for someone to work with on decorating our new Capitol Hill row home. Having purchased a well kept, but historical home we really wanted to stay true to the character while making it feel younger, functional, and (most importantly) a place we could raise our impending family. Debbie met and exceeded all of my expectations of what working with a designer would be like! She understood immediately that the originality of the house was important to us and quickly picked up on and helped us better identify our tastes and where the two could meet. She was always able to read my mind when she showed me fabrics or samples and immediately knew if I loved or hated something :). Debbie also helped guide us towards choices that achieved our aesthetic vision AND would make sense for a family with young kids knowing we were about to enter that phase. COVID resulted in longer time frames for getting in the pieces we ordered and we ended up having to work around the birth of our first child in November perhaps more than anticipated (not her fault at all), but she was so caring and thoughtful about our schedule, what we needed, and made it as low stress as possible. I am now even more excited for COVID to end so we can show off all of Debbie's work (and the future work that we keep adding to her plate)! I will end by saying I would not hesitate to recommend Debbie to all of my friends! My husband and I feel so fortunate that in addition to the completion of a successful project, we have gotten to know Debbie over these past few months as she is a kind, warm, thoughtful woman who we also enjoy spending time with!

Debbie is a superstar designer! We have worked with her for several years, and the reason we do is because she is so good, she is extremely attentive to our style preferences and our way of decision-making (we like to be involved), and because it is so much fun! She brings expertise and excellent client service, breaking down projects in a way that makes it manageable for us, and she is very respectful of our time. This past year, we focused on redoing our master bedroom, my home office, and decorating our walls, and we couldn't be happier. Debbie found beautiful artwork that we never would have found ourselves, and that are gorgeous statement pieces, or just fun pieces. And for pieces we came across ourselves, she provided invaluable feedback and advice on how to decide whether to purchase them, never imposing her own style preferences but providing great advice. For our master bedroom and home office, Debbie's ideas have been wonderful, creative, and sophisticated. She provides great options, listens to our reactions and feedback, and NOTHING daunts her! She is also terrific about easing our concerns and making our lives easier; she'll manage deliveries, oversee setup, coordinate with vendors, etc. And all the while, she has the most infectious, joyful attitude. Our visits with Debbie are a highlight, and we couldn't recommend her more!

Debbie is reliable, trustworthy and easy to work with. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Debbie over the years on multiple projects. She follows through, considers my priorities and brings her own unique energy to the project. Her designs are always exactly what I want even when I don’t really know what I want! Once the rooms are delivered and installed, I realize she knew me better than I knew myself! She has great sources, a fine eye for quality and design details and an artistic perspective on home decoration. Everything she’s done, from rugs to window treatments, bathrooms to outdoor dining, is just perfect for me. When I start my kitchen renovation, she’s the first pro I’ll call.

Whenever we have a large project we go to Designing Solutions. When our kids were finally old enough to not need a playroom, we once again turned to Debbie to redesign the space into a media room. She created a space that was comfortable, cozy and that complimented the rest of the basement. The carpet she found is so soft underfoot and the couch is the most comfortable in the house. She designed a large wooden frame/cabinet for our TV so that we can store video games, DVDs, and components out of sight and to give the room a modern feel. She always kept us updated on status of furniture and various parts of the project so that we knew when things were coming or delayed. Debbie is a pleasure to work with. Can't wait until the next project.

Debbie was an absolute pleasure to work with and I can't recommend her enough! She took our 1000 square foot apartment and really turned it into a home with clever ideas that maximized our space. We love the custom sectional sofa and artwork selections. Best of all, she's just easy to work with and super-responsive. Look forward to working with her again when we move into our next home!

Debbie did an exceptional job of updating our "new" older home and mixing in some of our existing furniture to the design plans. Can't say enough good things about her, so I'll list them: - Debbie knows everything! She downsized our large living room room carpet so that we could re-use it in the den; she had some of our older wood pieces refinished; she had one of our lamps rewired; she had the slate floor totally refinished and looking brand new. If it's something in your home, she knows where to go, what to do, who should do it and how to make it right. She's a walking encyclopedia for everything home. - Debbie knows how to manage the client's budget. She advised us where to spend more and where to spend less so that we stayed in budget without sacrificing the quality or style we really wanted. - Debbie has excellent people working with her. She confirms their arrival time, makes sure they leave the work area spotless and makes sure they know what to do. We didn't have to do anything. - Debbie has great taste. We loved all the things she brought to us. She was able to explain the advantages and the disadvantages of every choice. - Debbie is a true professional. She sends reminders, returns calls and emails quickly, reviews charges before incurring them, respects our hectic schedules and works around them and solves problems...even the problems that she isn't responsible for! We not only recommend Debbie to anyone looking to improve their home, but have already scheduled time with Debbie to start work remodeling our lower level in 2020. Ten Stars!!

Debbie was incredibly helpful to me in planning and executing a design for my entry, kitchen, living room, and dining room. Even though I had a very tight budget, she was able to accomplish all my asks. She guided me on low cost/high impact solutions that I never would have thought of, and helped me prioritize the more expensive improvements that I had on my list. She has an excellent sense of style and is very knowledgeable about product options for all budgets. I was completely lost but she gave me a road map of where to go and what to do. I will definitely continue to consult with Debbie for my future design needs.

Debbie did a fantastic job! Our whole house was dated and required structural updates as well as newer furnishings and Debbie was able to zero in on what was needed and what would work best for us. She has excellent tradespeople and installers who showed up on time and cleaned up everyday. No surprises when we got home! She is very accessible, always keeping us informed, telling us what was happening and managing all the people. She really knows the process of design and picked out all the bedroom and first floor furniture, paints and fabrics- things we never would have thought of on our own. We love the finished results. Everything came just when she said it would and on budget. Debbie is a pleasure to work with- great style, fun personality and lots of energy. We wouldn’t change a thing!

We hired Debbie to update our older home and make it more functional and modern. Along with adding new furniture, we wanted to re-do the kitchen floor, appliances and countertop, refinish the hardwood on the first floor and replace the wall to wall carpet throughout the second floor. We thought we needed a separate contractor in addition to an interior designer, but Debbie coordinated it all and that made all the difference. She put together a holistic design plan so that all the finishes, flooring, wall paint and furniture blended and worked together--that’s a huge skill that was missing when we spoke with contractors before meeting Debbie. She used the existing holes in our ceilings but had her excellent electrician replace the recessed lighting so that we could angle the light onto our wall art and keep our home much cooler and brighter using LED bulbs. With new wall colors, flooring and furniture lay out, everything looks fresh, spacious and contemporary. We just love it and we loved having Debbie manage and select it all from start to finish. Debbie is truly an expert at what she does and brings real artistry to designing homes. She has very professional sources and tradespeople who follow her every direction. Best of all, Debbie is completely down-to-earth and really had our best interest at heart, even when we didn’t know what was in our best interest! She sent daily updates, answered every question and every email and call the same day, educated us on all the choices, weighed the pros and cons for us and made sure everything was installed absolutely correctly. She is awesome!!!

Our friends raved about working with Debbie Wiener, so when we purchased our beach house, we gave her call..and that started a truly fun and successful design journey with Debbie. The first thing you notice about Debbie is her high energy- she loves what she does and her positive attitude is contagious. We had been hesitating and indecisive, but she took the reins, chose it all, explained it all and made it simple and stress-free. All the furniture and flooring holds up to sand, chlorine and sunscreen but looks beautiful! Everything was delivered at once and Debbie supervised the placement. All we had to do was show up later and enjoy. Working with Debbie to design and furnish our beach house gave us the home we really wanted but could never create on our own. She is very creative, very easy to work with, very reachable and accessible and very easy to talk to. You’ll appreciate her excellent customer service. We are now considering renovations to our home on the western shore. Our first call will be to Debbie.
