My wife and I decided to remodel the downstairs to our 18 year old home. Pat was recommended by a friend. Our experience Included a wonderful Adventure through right the remodeling process, and education on the utilization of our space, and an introduction to excellent crafts men. I have worked with Pat for more than twelve years to make our home beautiful, functional, and comfortable. We have redone every single room together including some outdoor spaces as well. Most recently, we are working together on a dining room renovation including a custom table and built in cabinets, new chandelier, wall coverings, floor coverings, etc. For the current project all others, Pat has been an invaluable resource at every step from recommending contractors, to reviewing plans, designing furniture, working directly with craftsmen, choosing furniture, fixtures, and paint colors etc. She strives to understand my tastes and budget and is punctual, detail oriented, focused on the livability as well as the appearance of our spaces, and budget focused as well. I recommend Pat so highly that we hired her last year to design and oversee the renovation of my mother's kitchen as well. I was downsizing to a condo from a much bigger home. I had used Indesign in the past for redecorating at various times. It is always a pleasure to work with Pat Stockdon, but never more so than when trying to scale back on furnishings and redecorate a new home to my tastes. She helped me choose what to eliminate and what we thought could be re-purposed in the new space. She is so detailed about placement, color and sizes. She drew plans for furniture placement so that even the moving was simplified. She provides great ideas, but is willing to listen and include your taste and suggestions. We reupholstered some pieces and she designed new window treatments. She is conscious of your budget and willing to work with you about costs. I would not hesitate to recommend her or hire her again.
