I hired Leslie to help me update a 1 bedroom condo in SF with a pretty tight budget. The condo needed a lot of updating and I was located out of state so I had to really rely on Leslie's design expertise as well as her project management skills. She did an amazing job. She had great ideas to stretch out budget as much as we could all while delivering a modern, beautiful space. She managed the project flawlessly from the beginning. She was clear with a very specific budget before we even started and kept to that budget to the very end. Even when there were surprises, she was quick to address the unexpected issue and provided several cost effective, yet stylish options. I can't recommend her more and wish I had more projects to work with her on!

I have worked with Leslie for almost Ten years. We work with so many Designers across the Bay Area, and Leslie is definitely one of our personal favorites. Whether it is small bathroom remodel or Full House Remodel, her projects are so professionally run and her fabulous personality always makes it a true pleasure to be on. Leslie always selects materials that are unique for that project and will always take the time to work with our production team to ensure each piece is masterfully produced to capture her vision.

I had the great fortune of being the general contractor on a project that was designed and managed by Lab Experiment. From the very first meeting before I was hired for the job, to the final walk-throughs, and at every important point in-between, Leslie and her crew were there with all the pertinent info and excellent input. They improved the entire work environment by keeping the client informed and at ease, while providing me (well in advance) with every needed detail to keep the project moving forward. Their combined skills in design, knowledge of the construction process, and client - contractor engagement were invaluable and made the whole project a pleasure to be involved in. In addition to all this, they were friendly and fun to have on the job site, and always receptive to my questions and concerns.

Leslie is very much about listening to her clients and helping them create the atmosphere/space THEY want. Leslie is very resourceful when it comes to finding unique elements to compliment/showcase the client's style/personality into her designs. And when clients do not know what they want and are looking for guidance, I trust Leslie implicitly to steer them in the right direction. I very much enjoy working with Leslie because she truly cares about the projects she takes on and thrives on making her clients happy. It takes a very dedicated and enthusiastic designer to listen to their clients, to do the research and footwork, and to help them realize their vision rather than repeat the same look in every space. Unlike many designers, Leslie can handle criticism if there is something she presents to you that you do not like!! Leslie time and time again successfully brings all the aesthetic elements of her designs together. I highly recommend Leslie for interior design!

After going it alone on two previous home remodel projects, I finally smartened up and hired LabExperiment to finish the remodel I had started 8 years ago. I not only love my new bathrooms and kitchen, this time around, I actually enjoyed the remodel process. We started the process with my budget and my general ideas for my remodel, which included remodeling an existing bathroom, adding a second bathroom, expanding the kitchen and adding laundry facilities. Leslie and Joelle gave me suggestions which were consistent with my style and within by budget. They adhered to my requirement of providing no more than three options at a time – more than three and I get overwhelmed, especially with paint colors. Our meetings were relaxed and fun but also professional, whether the meetings were just with me or those including my contractor and his subs. Joelle took notes during the meeting which ensured we were all on the same page and eliminated miscommunications. They created a project book which was kept onsite that contained detailed drawings, designs and specs. The contractor and various subs referred to the project book, which further eliminated miscommunications, and more importantly, eliminated the contractor stopping work to contact me to discuss a particular detail. Both Leslie and Joelle have a working knowledge of construction and Joelle created the plans which were submitted to my engineer, and in turn, submitted to the City to pull permits. The stress I went through with my previous remodels was nonexistent; I wish I had contacted LabExperiment sooner!

Leslie met with me and discussed options in detail. She suggested that I have Roman shades installed as, not only would they work better than draperies for my apartment, they would be more economical. She provided me with many, many samples and I was able to choose what I wished. The draperies were installed today and they are simply beautiful and make my entire apartment look so much more elegant. Also, the shades are very well made and easy to handle. Leslie is very nice to work with. She is quiet and respectful and is not aggressive.
