Val Spaces

Hello my name is Alan Smith. In August of 2023 I came across Val Spaces while doing an online search for designers in the New Orleans area for a much needed helping hand on a master bathroom remodel at my home. I was pleased to hear from her in such a prompt manner and we scheduled a in home consultation and began to discuss design ideas. She asked that my wife and I compile pictures of design elements and send them to her in order for her to get a better idea of what we were looking to incorporate into our home. Her first rendering blew us away!! She took my idea of herringbone tile pattern and incorporated a sleek, slick, and spa like oasis to a room that originally had the look of a fallout shelter as opposed to the spa like feel that Val Spaces and Esplaade Construction would so masterfully incorporate into our home. The use of a black, gray, white color palette and brass hardware along with floral tile used on the shower floor make for a tremendous visual!! Val always kept open lines of communication and would stop by periodically to view the progress of the project. Her contractor (Esplanade Construction) provided excellent service and arrived ready for work everyday starting on Sept 19th(6 days/week) till completion Nov 2nd of 2023. The project would have wrapped sooner but we did have to wait I for materials to arrive off of back order. But the finished product was very much well worth the wait! My wife and I decided immediately that Val Spaces would be requested to renovate our guest bathroom in 2024. We can’t wait to see what she thinks of next!!!

Val was so easy to work with and was always available when needed. Our bathroom went from a place that we never used to a space where we use every day.

Highly recommend Val for any projects you might have in mind! She is there from start to finish and thinks of every detail! Helped us take a vague idea that had been in my mind for years to frutition and executed in a way better manner than I had in mind! It was an absolute pleasure working with Val, and I know we will be using Val’s Spaces for more projects in the future!

Val provided us with practical and cost-effective design solutions for our home renovation that resulted in a much more open, inviting and livable space. She has an excellent eye for interior design, blending unique combinations of colors, patterns and textures in a sophisticated style. She is also very easy to work with and responsive to all kinds of questions.

I have worked with several architects and designers, and they are either too passive or impose their opinion. Val is more of a balance, she will brainstorm with you about the space and help you to design the best space possible for you preferred taste, lifestyle and function. Lastly, she is up front about costs and will never blindside you with added costs! 10 stars if possible! I will use her and recommend her again.

I highly recommend Val Spaces. She understood our needs and planned a beautiful new family living space. Val seamlessly blended the pieces we wanted to keep along with new furnishings to create a chic new room. Val Spaces also understands color. She helped pick out new colors to paint our house that highlights its architecture. I love pulling up to our house now, and we have received many compliments about her work. Her expertise is priceless!

Val is a great listener. She did a great job of listening to our needs and designing a space that worked for our family.
