Cascade Contracting

Cascade did an incredible job with our flooring and home bar project, transforming unused space into a functional retreat for grown-ups. We will be using them again for a more extensive remodel of our kitchen early 2017. Their work and attention to detail can't be beat.

We hired Cascade Contracting to remodel our kitchen. The team leaders and work crews were very professional and friendly. Quality of the work was excellent. I never saw the appeal of custom cabinets until I saw the finished product installed. They listened to our design ideas and provided helpful input. They were conscious of our budget. We purchased our appliances directly from a dealer that works with contractors, and when our stove did not arrive in a timely fashion, Dennis was very quick to advocate for us. The only issue we had was the delay in the project after demolition. We left for a 1-week family vacation, and when we returned, it appeared that very little progress had been made since we left. I understand that delays happen, but I wish the communication about the delay had been better.

Cascade Contracting recently updated and refaced our kitchen cabinets. They were extremely helpful in advising us on the different options of wood and stain colors for our project. The kitchen is beautiful and was done on time (or a day or two early). The crew was on time, respectful and super nice to us and our kids. Adam and Dennis are great to work with.

We have worked with Adam & Dennis of Cascade Contracting on two projects & would recommend them. They renovated our kitchen several years ago & bathrooms along with some other basement upgrades most recently. They took extra time to help us come up with great solutions for problem areas, common in older homes. They are thorough & very knowledgeable & their custom cabinetry is very high quality. Cascade has done a few jobs for us over the years, the biggest being a kitchen remodel with a build-out that took about 4 months to complete. They took our old kitchen down to the studs, added a complicated extension to our foundation, and built it all back up into a showcase of a kitchen that still has people fawning over it when they come into the house. From the beginning of the project, the folks at Cascade were entirely professional, thorough in their discovery and on target with their estimates. We knew exactly what was going to be done and when and were kept apprised of delivery issues that might affect the schedule. In places where we were flexible--or not finished--in our choices (countertops, sinks, tile, etc.), Cascade was helpful in coming up with places for us to look for distinctive options, but we never felt that we were being pushed in any direction. It was clear that they wanted to build the kitchen we wanted, and would do it as efficiently and hassle-free as possible. The thing that impresses us most is the dedication of everyone at Cascade to their work; they truly seem to enjoy what they do, and they pay attention to those little things that turn a remodel project from good to great. The best thing I can say about Cascade is that if I were to do a remodel project in the future, they would be the first place I would go.

They dealt with lead, asbestos, a surprise federal EPA inspection (and all paperwork was in order because they are that good), design changes, IKEA cabinets (even though they are REALLY GOOD at custom cabs), structural beams, and our kitchen gets nothing but compliments. They steered us when we were uncertain, and never a wrong choice. Would hire them again.

Cascade Contracting was seamless in its ability to execute our plans in building our new home. The project was a complete rebuild (4 BR, 2.5 BA) in Southwest Portland. Dennis, Adam and their team were professional, insightful and incredibly enthusiastic about helping us realize this dream. When we splurged on a few selections, they had great suggestions and recommendations to help us remain within our overall budget. Additionally, they delivered this sizeable project on time.
