I started working with Jacqui and Jude from Scottish Gardener in 2020. This was my third attempt to work with a landscape professional since 2017, and it was finally a great success. In spring 2021, they expanded the plant beds, and designed and built gorgeous natural-looking brick borders around them. After that, we continued with annual maintenance help through the year, for compost, mulch, weeding, and clean-ups. We are currently working on a plan to convert the front yard into a native garden. I like being a hands-on gardener, I believe I have somewhat decent knowledge of plants and I enjoy working with them - I am not a novice. Yet I am consistently impressed by their immense amount of knowledge about various plants. And while I can do much work myself, I learned that professionals are incredibly efficient. Before we started working together, I was a bit uncertain about hourly rates for gardening help - yet I learned that they do everything at least twice faster than I do. Weeding, soil improvement, or mulching that I was worrying about in the past, wondering if it would take me a whole week to get done in my spare time? Most of these are now completed in a 2-hour visit, and I know they are done well. Which frees me to truly feel the joy of gardening, without its stresses. What I also love about working with Jacqui and Jude, and what was missing from my previous attempts, is that it truly feels like a team. I wanted creative collaboration: Someone to share and discuss my ideas with, and help develop them together, with excitement and interest. That is a precious experience. I hope that over the next couple of years, together, we will make this garden a low-maintenance marvel of beautiful native plants: Where blooms or seeds are accessible through much of the season, supporting birds, butterflies and native bees, and our own sense of joy and awe.

I’ve used Matt and his team for snow removal and they did a fantastic job. The snow would be cleared from my driveway way before I would leave for work in the morning. I was so satisfied with his company I decided to have him help me with my backyard recently. For many years I just hated to look at my yard because it was a total mess with weeds and overgrowth (yes, my fault). Matt and his team took two days to rip out the old grass and lay new sod. It is such a sight to see my yard now usable and beautiful looking. The side of my yard also had dying plants and he cleaned it all up and laid rocks. On the other side of my house I would always have weeds growing up to 4 feet every summer. Matt took care of that too. He is a total professional as he does what he says. My experience was amazing! Firstly out of four company’s contacted they were the only ones to call back. The office staff were prompt, friendly, and professional. Their estimate was very reasonable and they didn’t make any false promises. They have totally exceeded all expectations. The crew of three with Matt as the foreman were so hardworking, professional and dedicated to doing the best job possible. My garden has been transformed. Matt worked collaboratively and had lots of great ideas. Nothing was too much trouble even with a change order. I can’t recommend them more. You will not be disappointed.

Inquired with KBS for a fence, and then got it installed. I am very pleased with the quality of the workmanship and customer service.

I was quoted $150 per hour for a tree pruning service. They booked me in for Labour day Sunday at 8am. I rescheduled holiday plans as I needed the trees pruned urgently. The crew never showed up. They offered me a 15% discount if I was ok rescheduling. The crew arrived on time and took 45 minutes to complete the job. The next day I received an invoice showing the price at $150 per tree, for a total of $450 for the job prior to the 15% discount. It turns out that the quote was $150 per hour per person, so $300 per hour given that it was a two man crew. Jenron did offer to refund me what I paid, but I refused as they did perform the job that I had requested, and the quote error on their end was due to an employee being burnt out due to a hectic summer and covid-19 times. In ten years of dealing with Jenron this is the one and only time where such an issue occurred. I would have rated them 5/5 otherwise

I have hired Terry twice for landscaping projects. One was to complete my whole entire landscape for my new home and the other to help me assemble a gazebo. I am more than satisfied with his works. He is meticulous with his works and he takes into considerations the words of his clients. I would definitely use him again for any upcoming projects.
