Landscapers & Landscaping Companies Near Canmore

“I started working with Jacqui and Jude from Scottish Gardener in 2020. This was my third attempt to work with a landscape professional since 2017, and it was finally a great success. In spring 2021, they expanded the plant beds, and designed and built gorgeous natural-looking brick borders around them. After that, we continued with annual maintenance help through the year, for compost, mulch, weeding, and clean-ups. We are currently working on a plan to convert the front yard into a native garden. I like being a hands-on gardener, I believe I have somewhat decent knowledge of plants and I enjoy working with them - I am not a novice. Yet I am consistently impressed by their immense amount of knowledge about various plants. And while I can do much work myself, I learned that professionals are incredibly efficient. Before we started working together, I was a bit uncertain about hourly rates for gardening help - yet I learned that they do everything at least twice faster than I do. Weeding, soil improvement, or mulching that I was worrying about in the past, wondering if it would take me a whole week to get done in my spare time? Most of these are now completed in a 2-hour visit, and I know they are done well. Which frees me to truly feel the joy of gardening, without its stresses. What I also love about working with Jacqui and Jude, and what was missing from my previous attempts, is that it truly feels like a team. I wanted creative collaboration: Someone to share and discuss my ideas with, and help develop them together, with excitement and interest. That is a precious experience. I hope that over the next couple of years, together, we will make this garden a low-maintenance marvel of beautiful native plants: Where blooms or seeds are accessible through much of the season, supporting birds, butterflies and native bees, and our own sense of joy and awe.”

“I hired Solkor to re-landscape a tired front and back yard for my 30 year old home that I purchased 4 years ago. They started the work in the dead of winter and successfully installed the majority of the hard landscape features during the winter months, and then returned in the early spring to finish the job. Having Solkor on site doing the landscape work went exceptionally well. They were very courteous and clear in communication with both myself and also ensuring that neighbors who were impacted by their work were kept up to date and assured that any temporary disruptions would be cleaned up. They kept the site neat and cleaned up throughly went they were finished. They also provided a high level of communication and updating throughout the progress of the project with emailed update including pictures explaining what they were doing which was really helpful, as well as timely phone calls if there were any questions or concerns to be addressed. I am so pleased with the end result of the project, the whole area is transformed and refreshed and is a pleasure to work and relax in. Thanks you Solkor for such a high-quality landscaping experience!”

“I have used Bigwall Landscape and Construction for two projects. The first was a complete reconstruction of our backyard, including fencing in 2014, and the second was replacing both front and rear decking in 2015. I was completely satisfied with both projects and found Nathan and Anna very easy to work with. The projects were carried out on budget and on-time.”
