I hired Engineered Design in December 2006 to remodel a "tired" landscape. It ended up scraping the whole property clean except for historical trees. I had a good idea of what type of plants I wanted being aware of drought conditions and the likely hood of those conditions being repeated in the future. Kathy Train listened to our concerns and using her creative sense of design came up with a beautiful plan. When I think back on the planning process, it was so easy. I think we really only went through 3 reviews before she "nailed" it. Casey Train knows his hardscape. He brought in some lovely boulders, rocks, moved earth around and created one of the best dry creeks I have ever seen. We used many gopher cages to protect the plants. In the years that have gone (10) by I have lost less plants because of the conscientious design on Engineered Design's part and decisions made for plant selection. The yard looks fantastic. I get compliments all the time. The one thing I would like to get across is that Engineered Design is very customer service oriented. Casey has driven by when we had more rain than normal to check out the dry creek bed AND I didn't't ask him. He's just wants to check on "his" houses that he has worked on. He is easy to contact (via phone or email). Casey knows his water systems equipment. When I can't figure out the problem, I give Casey a call and he responds quickly and fixes the problem. Plus he is educating me the whole time on what to look for so maybe the next time I can fix it. I would highly recommend Engineered design-creative, helpful, great listeners, conscientious of my budget- to anyone wanting to use a landscaper.
