John was absolutely wonderful to work with. He built a stone perimeter, retaining wall, stairs, and front walkway for us. His stone work is gorgeous and built to last. In addition to being incredibly skilled in stone masonry, he is responsive and reliable. He does what he says he will do in a timely manner. We really lucked out finding John and plan to work with him again if we have further stone projects. -Glenna

John Mitroff did an excellent job of cladding a decaying concrete porch and steps with beautiful grey flagstone, extending the veranda, adding a flagstone door sill, installing railings, and parging and painting as needed. The work was completed on schedule. The new front entrance is spacious, gracious, and attractive. I recommend John's work highly.

John built our magnificent backyard stone terrace in 2021. When we had decided to redo our front entrance, he was the first stone mason that we thought of using. Our townhouse is about 20 years old and had one of those unsightly concrete block entrances which was leaning and really too small. The new stone entryway is elegant and perfect. Two neighbours were so impressed that they got John to create similar entrances to their homes. Imitation really is the highest form of flattery! John is a decent, honest and hardworking fellow. His quotes were always spot on. No surprises. If I need anymore work done I will use John without hesitation. I highly recommend him.

John is a skilled stone mason and as soon as we met him we knew he was perfect for our garden redo. John removed the existing planting, stone and trees. (A mammoth task in 40 degree heat). We showed him a couple of sketches we had in mind and he took that, gave us some options and in some cases better ideas and built us our new sanctuary. John was absolutely great with some of the more fluid parts of the design - we made a few changes along the way and he was always so good about it. Apart from having the most amazing work ethic, and being a skilled stone mason, he’s just a fun person and he was a pleasure to work with. John if you’re reading this we still love the garden and send you best wishes.

Excellent work. Very professional and high quality. On budget and on time. No detail missed. We were able to enjoy our beautiful new backyard stone patio all summer and can’t wait for next season. I have had John (Stone Feather Landscapes) complete multiple jobs for me at multiple sites. He is knowledgeable, creative and experienced in his craft. The end product was done right and looks terrific. He is someone who takes pride in their work, is conscientious and fairly priced.

We chose to get a stone terrace built in our backyard as opposed to a wooden deck and do not regret it. John is a consummate craftsman and did a masterful job creating a wonderful backyard paradise for us, It's also worth pointing out that with the ridiculously high price of pressure treated wood these days, we figure that stone was much better value and more beautiful. John was punctual and professional throughout the entire process. He even arranged to get an iron gate custom made for us. Couldn't be more pleased with his work. Highly recommended!

John did a great job for us on our front yard and back patio. His attention for detail is amazing and he returned a few months later to check on his work. He is always accessible by text, phone and email and is prompt to return your calls. I would highly recommend him.

John has a "if you're going to do it, do it right" mentality, and it really shows in the quality of his work. We originally engaged John to do some stonework for our (very small) backyard. He challenged our original design idea and suggested an alternate design, which would give us more usable space and require very little/no maintenance. We followed his lead and couldn't be happier with the result. The stonework is exceptional, he was fast and left no detail overlooked. He parged a portion of our foundation where we had water coming in before laying the stone down, and we have had no water issues since. Our backyard is now like an extension of our house - we use it more than we ever have before. We were so pleased with the work John did in the summer 2020 that we engaged him to do our front yard in spring 2021, which involved landscaping, removing and old wooden retaining wall, replacing it with stone and creating a curved walkway for us to store and roll our garbage/recycling bins on. He ensured that water drainage issues, and went above and beyond, helping us with odd jobs around the interior and exterior of our home. We've received many, many compliments from neighbours!

I would highly recommend John and the work he has done. He was professional, did a great job, cleaned up every day and most importantly was able to improvise and improve as we went along during the project. Thanks again John. We are so proud of how it turned out.

John from Stone Feather Landscapes did an outstanding job for us. Our project included laying flagstone, stone edging around an iron fence and creating a pathway. John made excellent suggestions along the way such as adding a stone flower box, which we’re thrilled with. Any changes or additions were never a problem. John is a clearly an expert in his field and his pricing was reasonable. He is also a very nice person which made for an excellent experience overall. We will definitely be calling John for the next job.

John tore up our old brick walkway and replaced it with beautiful stone. The slabs he chose were perfect, and it looks great. We are really pleased with the final result. The job was done on time, on budget, and the end result is exactly what we wanted. I'm also impressed that he sent a follow up email 3 months later to check in on how we were liking the work. Would recommend and work with again.
