Marvel Landscapes

Well, let's start from the beginning... I interviewed 8 landscape contractors and Marvin was the last one, over several months of interviewing & consulting with them. I'm a little picky., but I chose the right man! Marvin is a true pro. He reviewed my goals, checked out my property, and gave different recommendations than any other contractor. With that said, I also hired a landscape designer to help me design & consult four months prior to hiring a contractor, so we made an informed decision. At the end, I went with my gut & chose Marvin. Marvin uses high quality materials on everything. He doesn't settle for less, even if you do. Also, I loved that he didn't nickle and dime me on every little decision. To be honest, he's not the cheapest, and he's probably on the higher side of the budget, but you get what you pay for. Marvin installed jute netting for my hillside, FX Luminaire Luxor low-voltage led landscape lights, Netaphym drip irrigation, Rainbord valves, Weathermatic controller with an atmosphere controller and sensor, Hunter MP Rotators, 800 sf of Marathon 2 sod with metal netting below to prevent gophers from popping up, hardscape Angelus Pavers with an entrquette design for my front courtyard, and a half-moon design for my rear yard pavers to couple my pool deck for sun bathing. We had 9 areas of full coverage sprinklers which all turn on from my iPhone, laptop, and the atmosphere sensor actually determines when and how much to water as well. And my landscape lights also are dimmable and can be controlled by my iPhone and set to have any theme I want. Him and his workers showed up almost everyday at 8am and left at 4pm. They are diligent & educated workers who I trusted at my house daily. In addition, the whole crew had great attitude. What impressed me the most about Marvin is his attention to detail and him not wanting to cut corners because he takes pride in his work. Although Marvin was the youngest contractor that I interviewed, he was the most educated on recent products and well poised. I liked that a lot. Lastly, and most importantly, Marvin didn't leave us hanging after the project was complete, as there were a few things to check up after the job was completed. Til this day he logs into my Sprinkler controller to check the status and make adjustments. Note: Marvin didn't choose, install, or order my plants because my designed handled all that. We chose Marvin because of he provided a structured time frame, plan, responsive communication, and a strong commitment toward the successful landscaping of our home. This was important because we had attempted to work with a landscaper in the past who had none of these qualities and went nowhere for weeks. Marvin's work included a site design, several options for irrigation, plant selections, fencing, deck, and slope erosion control (important for our hillside home). He was always open to suggestions, very honest, reasonable with his prices, and willing to work with any unexpected problems that occurred during construction including managing costs. Marvin is passionate about his work; you can see him always thinking of best look for your home even during the active landscaping work process. Marvin's irrigation knowledge is sophisticated which is integral for the landscaping to thrive during this current drought. It's clear he takes time to keep up to date on new landscaping technology and strategies. Marvin is also knowledgeable on sustainable, native, and water-wise landscapes. The quality of plants used were good / excellent. We too would highly recommend Marvel Landscapes.

Marvin designed and installed complete new landscaping for our house. He was very professional and a pleasure to work with. He finished all work as expected and has continued to follow up with any questions or issues since the competition of the project.
