Solid Rock is an award-winning landscape company built on the principle of integrity. Owners, Noah and Kari Gale strive to bring honesty and reliability in all they do, both professionally and personally. The Gales have been married 29 years - Noah has been working in the landscape industry for 33 years and has lived in the Bay Area since 1977; Kari has recently joined Noah in the business and has lived in the Bay Area all her life. Solid Rock Inc. is a bonded, insured, land development/landscape company with General Engineering and Landscaping licenses. Our highly qualified staff, both in the field and in the office, are committed to working closely with you from your first contact with us throughout your project to provide you with the highest standards in customer satisfaction. Noah and our staff will provide you with comprehensive estimates, weekly schedule updates, weekly on-site meetings, and quality communication. Noah has an extensive background in drainage, hillside retention, concrete footings, and he has many years working closely with soils engineers. He is also an artist who thinks creatively and out of the box. Solid Rock employs highly skilled craftsmen who have been with us many years and who have their own specialties: masonry, lighting, planting, irrigation, boulder design and installation as well as other areas of expertise. I have worked with Solid Rock on a number of projects both large and small, and I can highly recommend this company without hesitation. Noah and his talented crew care about the quality of the end product and it shows in the beautiful landscapes they build. The communication along the way is equally outstanding, making the process enjoyable for all. When the homeowner or I want to achieve a certain design outcome, they listen patiently and make adjustments if needed. When it comes to overcoming an unforeseen obstacle when we are under construction, they are also excellent problem solvers. From start to finish, they are a pleasure to work with!

I hired Solid Rock to landscape my small yard from a new construction. I only have wonderful things to say about their service and work was truly exceptional. From helping with design, completely unprompted, to their frequent communication, to the quality of their work. They always ensured we were getting what we were asking for and that the work was excellent. This was no small feat given the restrictions placed by the city and our HOA. They worked through all of those to ensure the final result met all regulations. We are very happy with the resulting design and work.

Solid Rock re-landscaped our front yard this past February, and I couldn't be more pleased with the result and the entire experience. These guys are super organized, responsible, deliver high quality work, and stand behind their services. I almost dropped with shock when they started the project when they said they would, and then again when they finished the job ahead of original estimated date. Every day a full crew of fantastic workers showed up and worked hard. The owners Dale and Noah, are straightforward, honest, and a real pleasure to work with. I've worked with many landscape contractors over the years, and these guys are by far the best I've found. This is a real gem of a company.

Noah and the Solid Rock team did an amazing job for us. The worked closely with our pool builder. They showed up on time everyday. We did a 1,000 sq ft French pattern travertine patio, retaining wall, sound wall, diving rock, flag stone walkways and a sound wall. We highly recommended Solid Rock!

Excellent experience with consummate professionals. Referred us to a great designer and then worked with her and us to adjust the design to stay within budget while still adhering to the designer's vision. Detailed, line-itemed bid. They finished ahead of schedule and on budget. If we made an adjustment mid-project, we received a detailed change order to approve specific to that item. Noah was incredibly knowledgeable about engineering and helped blend the aesthetics of the concrete design we wanted with ensuring there were sufficient stress lines to avoid visible cracking. He has a good eye for design himself and helped adjust design elements mid-project as needed. Every day the team cleaned up the sidewalks and street rather than leaving a muddy mess. These guys are a pleasure to work with, and we will definitely use Solid Rock again when we are ready to take on the backyard.

Solid Rock was AMAZING for our back yard transformation! They spent a lot of time in the very beginning figuring out exactly what we wanted (feel, purpose, colors, style) so that once they came up with a plan there was very little adjusting to do throughout the rest of the process. Noah and Dale are amazing, honest, genuine guys that truly want to do the best job they can the first time around. But the entire team was also friendly, helpful, responsible, and timely. I would highly recommend Solid Rock to ANYONE looking to make their dream yard a reality!

Complete redo of 48 year old front yard. Marble tile on porch and edge of new walkway. Design includes mounds, boulders, trees, grasses, flowering plants and ground cover, bark. Workers were friendly and clean up at the end of each work day was great. Dale and Noah were very personable and easy to work with, as were all of the other employees. The final clean up was wonderful. Just anxious for the ground cover to grow... a lot of bark right now! Love it, love it! I would highly recommend Solid Rock!

Solid Rock provided an excellent experience from design to completion. Dale listened to our desires carefully along the way and revised the plans with our feedback. In terms of execution, they had a weekly scheduled check in which we found very helpful. They have a good mix of aesthetic and technical execution.

Commented: What type of stone is this?Hi Stuart, this type of stone installed is Connecticut Bluestone Full Range , in an Ashlar pattern and the steps are a Select Stone Blue Stone.

Commented: What stone is used for the flooring? It it slate?For this particular site we used full range bluestone placed in a ashlar pattern. Unfortunately, the surface is not a smooth surface. It is stone a stone surface.

Commented: What type of area rug???I really like this color to brighten up the room. I think a off blue that separates from the blue you already have will totally pop. Try a fur rug like the one pictured. That would be really nice.
