Our first experience with Dan was to paint our vaulted ceiling living room, kitchen and reading room. After that experience we had him back to do two bedrooms, an office, home theater and basement family room. With each experience Dan helped us with color consultation as we wanted vibrant color and accent walls. He took such great care and time to be sure we understood the different grades of paint, finish, look and feel and could make decisions that were the best for how we would use the rooms and be completely satisfied. Dan is so passionate about what he does and his professionalism, punctuality, communication, cleanliness and meticulous care set him apart from other contractors we’ve worked with. We still have a few rooms left to paint and Dan is our ONLY choice for the job. We absolutely love the results and highly recommend Dan.

Dan did a great job painting in our home! My husband and I have done a fair amount of painting in our house, but it's very clear that our house was painted by a professional this time! He thoroughly prepared the walls, which isn't something my husband I have have done a great job of in the past - our 1947 walls look significantly better than they did before. He was very accommodating when we made some changes to the project after the original estimate, and was very efficient completing the project. Dan was very tidy and organized while he was at our house, and was very professional - he even sent me text updates and pictures while I was at work. We'd highly recommend Dan, and will be sure to contact him again if we have future painting projects!

Dan is a professional. We got a fantastic result on a tricky job. The house was built in 55' and an addition later with ugly 70's boxed in beams. Dan worked with us to develop a great idea instead of just painting them the same color as the ceiling. The contrast is cool. Dan's communication is top notch. He kept us informed of his schedule, updated us and even emailed pics at work. Dan is definitely into his work, unlike so many contractors who just do the work and leave with questions unanswered. He puts the client first and involves then in every aspect of the project. I can't recommend him more highly.

My husband and I recently had Dan paint our home and couldn't be more thrilled with the results! In our living room he used the Benjamin Moore Century and we absolutely love it! While this paint is Dan's most expensive option and initially we debated whether to splurge on it, I am SO glad we chose the Century. The richness of the color and the feel of the paint on the wall (it's like touching silk!) are unlike any other paint I've ever seen or even knew existed. I am confident it will last for years to come and it looks wonderful! When it comes to Dan, I can't recommend him enough. He is kind, trustworthy, and easy to work with. He's a genuine, trustworthy person and I had zero qualms about him being in home when I wasn't there. He made the entire process a breeze from running an estimate to going through different paint options and then kicking off and completing the project. During the couple days it took him to paint our home, he accommodated our schedules, his equipment was confined to just a small area of our home, and he was extremely neat and tidy, cleaning up after himself thoroughly at the end of each day. I've never worked with such an exceptional contractor with such attention to detail and dedication to his craft, and I've already recommended him to several friends and family members. Long story short: if you hire Dan to paint your home, you won't regret it! And if you are leaning towards the Benjamin Moore Century, definitely go for it, it's an incredible product that we enjoy each and every day.

Dan did a wonderful job painting my condo before I moved in. He did all the prep and and consulted me whenever he had a concern. He sent me pictures of the painting process and communicated with me as he went. I would not hesitate to use him again!

This is the first time I've had the entire interior of a home painted and Dan made the process easy. He was friendly, honest, communicative, and accommodating from start to finish. He usually uses Benjamin Moore paint but happily used Restoration Hardware. The paint had to be ordered online which pushed his start date back by three days. Dan committed to working over the weekend to get it done before July 4 so we could both enjoy the holiday. He left my home as he found it so there was nothing for me to clean up. Most of all, I appreciate Dan's attention to detail. His lines were very clean and there was no splatter. He painted two walls that met at a 90 degrees with two different colors. The point at which the two colors met was so sharp. I'll definitely be calling Dan for any future paint projects.

Working with Dan on our paining project was a joy! He was incredibly consultative, professional, and thorough. He helped us pick out beautiful paint colors that blended well with the other rooms that had been previously painted. He was very knowledgeable on paint quality, and the brand he chose for this job is beautiful. He was punctual, and even finished the job earlier than his estimated time. We couldn't be happier with the finished results, and would definitely recommend Dan for any painting job you have in your home. He's respectful, courteous, and kind, on top of his high quality of work, which is exceedingly rare these days. I would give him 10 stars if I could!

Incredible artist! This veteran provides top notch service! Dan was patient while I was trying to decide on a color. He explained everything so clearly prior to starting my project. I had no idea there was such a process to painting properly. Being hyper sensitive to smells and having small children, the fumes were a major concern of mine. Dan has equipment to safely manage the air quality. I could not even smell the paint. Dan's communication made me feel confident about the process and answered any questions I had immediately. I love the progress pictures as he started painting. It's clear that painting isn't just a job for Dan, it's his true passion. He lights up when talking about projects, the materials, the paint, and the process. His attention to detail is unlike any home improvement professional. Not only was the quality of work incredible but Dan also took the time to answer my 5 year old's questions and allowed her to watch as he transformed our house "He's really good at painting" she says. Dan was able to make mend my beat up walls making them completely flawless. I'm so thrilled at the transformation of my new space! I'm looking forward to future projects with Dan!

Dan is very professional and easy to work with. Estimates are quick and straightforward, scheduling is precise and he is always prompt to the job. Very clean and organized worker leaving the job site each day all picked up. The best painter we have ever hired and will hire again for all our painting needs.

SmartPaint painted my newly purchased condo and I am extremely pleased with Dan's work. Dan is very reliable, highly competent, and a person of integrity. In today's world with so many home improvement contractors only doing a half hearted job, Dan's attention to detail was amazing. From the start, Dan had been great. Not only did he reach out quickly but remained in constant communication through out — even when we had a ton of changes that set us back. He was consistently flexible and made sure that we always felt in the loop. Regarding the actual project, it was a big project and he kept us informed of progress even while we were on vacation. We trusted him to take open and close our place and clean up appropriately while out of the state and he delivered. His quality of work is superb, communication skills are well above the rest in the industry and he made sure we felt comfortable with the approach, scope and quality.
