Silver Lining Painting

We were recommended Matt Brock and Siliver Lining Painting to paint our home. Part of this included a lime wash on our fire wall. Unfortunately the measurements were off on the lime wash wall and this had to be redone. Once he learned this needed to be redone he completed disappeared. Several walls were left unpainted in our home and several with only one coat. Unfortunately just before he did this he asked for payment in full before reassessing the lime wash wall. After we paid he would not return any calls or texts and essentially disappeared after telling us that it would need to be redone and that we would have to start over. Our designer was also unable to contact him and we had to hire a new painter to paint our home. He wouldn't even share with our new painter what products he used in our home leaving us guessing how to properly update this. Our experience was that he was unprofessional and we would strongly recommend against anyone using him for their home. Hiring him cost a huge amount of money and the job was mediocre at best and was left unfinished. Luckily we were able to hire another painter to fix his work at an extra cost to us and our designer. We have heard stories of contractors like this but this was our first time to experience this personally and we struggled with writing a review for some time but felt it was our duty to warn others.

Matt Is a true professional! I have been working with him for many years and would not hesitate to recommend him and his team to any of my clients who want a meticulous job, on time on budget. Not only can he handle the painting, he is very versatile, being able to take on any thing related to walls and floors, not to mention coordinate with other trades like electricians and plumbers.

Bad job! My Husband had to book our exterior paint job five weeks in advance. They showed up and were just messy all around. They left our back gate open, after being specifically told not to, and as a result our tortoise got out and was gone for a week. After they finished, we thought the paint job looked amazing. Until the first month. There are tons of spots all over the house where they were just too careless or lazy to FINISH painting. They did one coat in some spots, completely ignored other spots, and overall just did a poor job. We called to voice our complaints, and they assured us that they'd fix it. Not once but TWICE they scheduled an appointment to come out and fix their mistakes and DIDNT SHOW UP. Once they got our money, all customer service flew out the window.

Quality, professional and a pleasure to deal with. You pay for what you get as they aren't the cheapest but well worth it.

I chose them over a couple of other companies, even though their quote was expensive, because I felt like they were professional and gave me a detailed proposal and promised to take care of some caulk/paint peeling & flaking on the exterior window trim. I had a bad experience with them.We had the interior and exterior of new wood windows/sashes/frames painted in August 2013 by Excel Home Painting. I chose them over a couple of other companies, even though their quote was expensive, because I felt like they were professional and gave me a detailed proposal and promised to take care of some caulk/paint peeling & flaking on the exterior window trim. As a few other reviewers have mentioned, I had a bad experience with them. The first issue arose while I got a call while out of town from Matt who told me that he had broken one of our basement windows but would fix it. When I got home the day after they had finished the job, I discovered that they had been banging their ladders against our house (my husband had complained about it to them) & there were marks on our siding indicating this, they broke branches of a few of our trees, damaged other plants, broke a planter, pulled off paint on some of our bedroom walls with their tape but didn't fix it, didn't fix the caulking around some of the windows, didn't fill in nail holes before painting or scrape off peeling paint before painting over it, there were paint drips on the exterior of the house...and the list goes on...overall, the painting job was sloppy and needless to say, I was upset. will not use them again and would NOT recommend this Company
