Marcia was absolutely awesome to work with. She helped us imagine and then realize our dream home. We had never built a custom home before and every step of the way she not only calmed our nerves but also got us more excited about the design and unique architecture. Her work on our house is amazing and we can’t wait to live in the house once construction is complete. Our family was lucky to have found her and I would recommend her to anyone.

Marcia designed a senior apartment addition to our house, making a beautiful, thoughtful, and safe place for my parents. Her attention to detail and exceptionally strong vision of how architecture intersects with real lives meant that every aspect of how they will move around and live in this space deliberately facilitates their independence. When friends and family tour the space for the first time, they comment on the strong sense of beauty as they enter their apartment, and the seamless way in which the addition blends into our existing house.

We hired Marcia to design an complicated remodel project for a funky 1970's split level home in the foothills of Golden, and she did an incredible job for a very fair price. Her outside the box thinking yielded an impressive design and saved us thousands. We highly recommend her!

Marcia designed a practical plan for our 1200-sf unfinished basement, which is being built as I write this, including a family room, bedroom, bathroom, and laundry and utility areas. Our humble 1960s rancher did not make it easy, with its crooked walls and utilities spread out in three separate places. Her plan is working out GREAT; she anticipated all the issues the house presented in a common-sense and efficient way, which our builder really appreciates. Her years of experience and her practical approach helped us zero in on what we wanted; she took my dreamy hand-waving idea and turned it into a workable plan. I use the terms practical and workable in this review because, in this case, we didn't want a five-star hotel-type of space, nor a cavernous one-star bargain basement. Just a nice, usable space that didn't break our budget. In short, she knows her stuff and listens well!

We hired Archevie Design to come up with a total new kitchen design, plus a remodel design for a big portion of our older home. We couldn't have been happier with the services provided. Marcia always responded promptly and made herself available to answer our many questions. We loved her design ideas and would highly recommend her to anyone in need of an amazing architect!

Referred to Marcia by a friend, and was very pleased. She listens and incorporates your thoughts, does great research on your ideas as well as suggesting plenty of her own solutions, and even if she is not sure your idea will work, will take the time to show it to you so you can come to an agreement in the end. Very patient. Very easy going. Lots of experience - at least 20 years, my general contractor who has 30+ years was impressed with her knowledge of structure, design and the "systems" that run the house, so that time is not wasted on ideas that are too expensive or won't work once the engineers come in. With all her experience has great contacts if you want them, but does not push her people on you. My house was poorly designed when built by the first owner and it took hours to figure out how to improve the basement stairs it was like a push me pull you rubics cube! Marcia finally made it all work. I can't wait till it's done and then Marcia will start on the deck!

Marcia Becker of Archevie Designs is an innovative, budget conscience architect and designer. We had been working with a different architect for over one year on a remodel project and were not getting anywhere. Our ‘downsize’ project was turning into an ‘upsizing’ and was way over budget. Our builder thought it best to start over with Marcia. She came to our 1961 home and asked us for our needs, our wants and our wishes. She came up with an amazing floor plan that was within our budget and was designed with our wish list and lifestyle in mind.... and all within 2 weeks. Marcia is professional, creative and hands on. She listens to her clients and has an uncanny way of putting our ideas into a perfect floor plan. She has the vision that made our project become reality. She utilizes a 3D program that allows you to view any elevation of the house, inside and out, which is great for seeing how everything comes together. If you are looking for a professional and creative architect that will keep you on budget, Marcia needs to be part of your project team. She gets 5-stars from these happy clients!

Marcia has designed an addition for our Boulder county home that is stunning and makes the most of our limited budget. Marcia's design is most impressive because she works around the low ceilings (that cannot be altered without tearing down the house) at 7 feet 8 inches to create rooms not requiring high ceilings (i.e. pantry, laundry room, powder bath, and portions of the mud room/entry area). Marcia was extremely creative in finding an existing foundation to work with on our house to create the new master suite with Flatiron/mountain views. Also, the vendors that Archevie Design recommends are of the highest caliber and professionalism. We are following her recommendations for structural engineer and contractor and could not be happier with both entities. Finally, I would like to mention that in working with Marcia, she sets very realistic expectations about budget, timeline, etc. Marcia understands our budget completely and makes fantastic recommendations (i.e. windows, siding, etc.) that provide the best trade-offs between price, quality and durability (which is extremely important with the harsh Colorado climate). I have been thrilled with our decision to work with Archevie Design on our project and plan to use her on the future phases remaining on our renovation.

Marcia is awesome!!! My husband and I have purchased spec homes previously and this is the first time that we have worked with an architect during the design process. We currently live overseas, but Marcia has managed to get to know us and understand what we need/like/love!!! We are in the design stages of our home and learning more about our true preferences with each meeting--Marcia has helped us identify true choices as well as how we experience those choices as we "walk" through our floor plan in her 3D application!
