We had the pleasure of working with Wynand Rutten Design on a renovation of our 50-year old kitchen/laundry/bathroom, which was overdue for an update. Not only did Wynand incorporate our demanding "wish list”, it was brilliantly accomplished, while preserving the feel of our tiny 90-year old country home. Even though the area footprint did not change, Wynand managed to increase the useable space by well-chosen cabinetry and improvement of workflow. We went from having a kitchen/bathroom that was an awkward and difficult to work in, to a beautiful kitchen that was functional for more than one chef. The redesigned bathroom was cleverly divided into a powder room and separate shower room. Wynand personally chose, ordered and supervised the installation of our cabinetry, flooring and lighting. He also made himself available at all stages of the project to troubleshoot the inevitable surprises that come up when you renovate a 90-year old home. Wynand Rutten Design gets our highest recommendation for creativity, functionality, professionalism and as a bonus, he is very easy to work with.
