We have worked with Nidy on quite a few projects over the years and each one has been just as enjoyable as the last. Nidy refers her architectural clients to us for the kitchen portion of her project. We work together to design the perfect layout and look for each of her clients. Nidy is very detail oriented and always supplies us with very accurate information and dimensions to ensure that the project works out seamlessly. The consummate professional, Nidy's innovative, yet practical approach coupled with her warm personality make her a pleasure to work with. Nidy has designed and overseen the construction of three major projects in our current home and we are looking forward to starting a 4th project with her that involves the renovation of a recently purchased historic home. She worked closely with us to develop our vision while implementing important structural details, retaining architectural symmetry, and helping us to select appropriate material, all while remaining within our budget. No doubt, renovation can be stressful, but since Nidy works closely with many local contractors, craftsmen and service providers the process becomes far more streamlined alleviating much of the anxiety. During the construction phase, our contractors questions were answered immediately and if needed, Nidy was always on the work-site problem solving. Her hands-on approach during construction assured that the project adhered to the original plans and that the contractors understood her intentions. As an artist, I can be a demanding client, (Nidy designed & constructed my current studio) but Nidy's focus on craftsmanship, her creativity and her unique sensitivity to her clients needs make her my perfect fit. Nidy provided excellent and comprehensive guidance on several projects throughout our house. No detail was too small to spend time on and she provided multiple options for all decisions. As time went on we found her choices provided excellent results which made future planning much easier. Her coordination of the various activities reduced our anxiety level tremendously as the projects moved smoothly along.

Nidy provided design and construction services for a significant addition to our modest colonial which increased our square footage by approximately 45%, added a master bedroom suite, a third floor children's room with bath, a mud room and breakfast nook. Because our home is in a flood zone and subject to FEMA requirements, we elected to do our project in two phases rather than make our house fully compliant (we are a the edge of the flood zone and not in an area that has ever been flooded.) We also needed a variance as we were exceeding the allowable square footage for our lot size. Nidy was extremely helpful in all of these elements of our project, particularly in dealing with our town's building department and preparing documentation for our P&Z hearing. She provided us with very helpful assistance in choosing materials, colors, hardware and bathroom fixtures without being pushy. We were able to obtain very reasonable bids from local contractors who Nidy knew and trusted - this was a real blessing. (Friends and neighbors who have chosen contractors on their own have had some nightmarish experiences.)

When we decided it was the time to update our 1980's colonial, we knew there only would be one person we would want to work with. Nidy Schiavoni-Hendrickson did the architectural/design work for our project- she is creative, detail oriented, and is a pleasure with which to work. Nidy is excellent at listening to ideas, coming up with various options, and making recommendations of her own to help get the best results. The scope of our project included updating all of the mechanicals, most of the electrical, and opening up the entire floor plan, as well as adding additional square footage to our home. . We continue to be more than delighted with the results!

I first hired Schiavoni-Hendrickson for a kitchen remodel. It was my first renovation. Nidy Hendrickson made it so easy. She walked me through each part step-by-step and added two things I'd always wanted - a mud room and a pantry - into a very small space. The experience was so good that when my husband and I saw a fantastic new house that needed quite a bit of work I knew Nidy would do wonders with it. She has worked with me throughout this extensive renovation bringing new ideas and always incorporating my wants and needs. She never loses sight of my vision and so easily makes it better. The renovation is never overwhelming because she works with me in small steps and always makes it fun. I hope we never renovate again but if/when we do she will be my first call!

Nidy Hendrickson of Schiavoni-Hendrickson Design LLC worked with me to create the design for the construction of a new kitchen and butler pantry in my home. I was most impressed by her architectural knowledge and expertise in the latest trends in kitchen layout, and decor from cabinetry, lighting, counter top choices down to flooring. She listened to my ideas and worked with me and the builders to create a kitchen design within my budget. Nidy was available to consult and answer questions through the completion of the project and as a result I have a beautiful new dream kitchen and butler pantry to enjoy for many years to come.

Nidi Hendrickson has done two significant building projects for us -- a new portico (fancy front porch) for our house and a large third car addition to our garage. We were very happy with her work. Together, the projects cost over $60,000, so they were significant in scope. Both projects required Nidi to integrate new, attractive designs into our existing house and both were big successes! Nidi is easy to work with, very practical (especially in terms building costs) and has an excellent eye for what will work architecturally. Both of our additions added curb appeal and value to our house and both look like they were designed as in integral part of the house. Nidy grasped what I wanted to do immediately and delivered a creative and very workable solution for the redesign of my living room kitchen and den plus she provided a solution for adding a bathroom within our zoning restrictions.. The result was perfect and totally improved the value of my home. I wanted an open space first floor and she delivered it.
