I have admired Brynn Charles Designs' style and creativity for years, so when it was time for us to re-decorate our family room, kitchen, and master bedroom, I knew that Melissa was my go-to designer….even with 1,700 miles between us! With one quick visit to us, Melissa helped develop a plan of action, encouraged me steer away from my normal neutral colors, and stayed within our budget easily. After that, we easily worked together via websites, emails, phone calls, texts, to make final decisions and orders - thank goodness for technology and Melissa's attention to details and great ideas! The outcome has been amazing - everyone raves about the new look - we love living in our home again! As we are now considering adding on to our home, I know that Melissa will be an integral part of the design of our new space! Thank you!!

After 25 years in our house, we decided to do some major redecorating and hired Melissa. We completely redid our living room (furniture, drapes and paint) and all 3 bedrooms; turning one into a study (with a Southwestern theme) and another into a guest room. The second phase was the hall and master bedroom. Melissa embraced this large project with enthusiasm, had an excellent sense of what we were trying to accomplish. She found great furniture and rugs at good values and came well within our budget. She encouraged the use of a few existing items in other rooms. We are very pleased with the floor plan and designs, furnishings and colors and the integration from room to room. She was very willing to keep looking if we didn't think we had found the right rug or chair. We so enjoy our "new" home. We are so pleased with the outcome

Melissa of Brynn Charles helped me with the project of redecorating my family room. She made the process so simple and understood my tastes immediately. She was able to stay within my budget, find furniture to match perfectly with what I currently had and help me buy the perfect knick knacks and arrange them perfectly.

Melissa helped us with our living room and dining room. We were starting from scratch, with not a piece of furniture or color palette in mind. Using her experience and expertise, she was able to guide us through each step, directing us with furniture positioning, paint color, window treatments, light fixtures, color schemes, shopping and ordering the pieces. Melissa was able to pull furniture and accessories from a variety of vendors that I never would have had access to otherwise. We are quite pleased with the end result.

Melissa of Brynn Charles Designs recently completed the design and decor of our 2400 sqft Active Adult Model Home at Four Seasons in Millville, NJ. Melissa met the challenge of staying on budget while achieving a sophisticated, rich look. She provided multiple memory points throughout the model home to keep our product in the forefront of the customer's mind. The feedback has been tremendous. This is the second model home that Melissa has done for us and it won't be the last.

Brynn Charles Design is the best! Melissa has decorated many of our model homes in communities for first time buyers all the way to active adult. We love that she is able to create exactly what we envision and the feedback and response is always great.

Thank goodness for Melissa and Brynn Charles Designs!! She recently completed a project for me at a house which I own but no longer live in. If I had any hope to rent it out, it REALLY needed some sprucing up, but I hesitated to put too much money into it. I gave her my budget of $1500 thinking that it would get a clean up, though not having high expectations that she could do too much within my budget constraints. And, I needed her to do it fast so as not to lose out on the spring rental market. Melissa has a FANTASTIC eye for detail, and went above and beyond what I would expect from a designer. She was able to transform my old, kitchy 3 bedroom house into one that I might take off the market and move back into! She gave it a clean and modern look, used affordable pieces that she pinned for me, and was responsive to my questions and ideas. She saved me money by using her discounts with her merchants, and really thought 'outside the box' to enhance the value of the home. She really understands the market and people, and managed to come in right at my budget. We have had 4 walk throughs in the week since she finished, and 2 offers to rent it. I couldn't be happier!!

Melissa completely failed at managing my expectations. Before I signed with her I gave her a budget and asked her if it was a realistic number. She jumped at it and said we would have no problem staying on budget. I would never have hired her if she didn't think she could stay within the confines of my budget. Her proposal for admittedly what would be about 50% of the total project was 20% over budget. Which translates to me spending 250% of my budget had she seen the project to completion. When we came to an impass she abruptly deleted the idea board I’d been saving ideas to and terminated our relationship. At the beginning of our relationship when I questioned her request to be paid 100% of her fee upfront and she told me that she would work hard for me until the project was complete. Fast-forward about four months and she has walked off of the job. Terrible experience.

My husband and I worked with Melissa at Brynn Charles Designs. She was incredibly helpful in determining furniture selection and placement in both a bedroom and an office in our home. In addition, she provided consultation on paint colors for several rooms. Melissa was very responsive, easy to work with, and made excellent suggestions in creating the exciting spaces we now have in our home. I would strongly recommend Melissa for your interior design needs.

We worked with Melissa on a renovation project in our house. We were redoing 3 bathrooms, changing an office into a tweenage girl bedroom and changing a nursery into a modern home office. Our only regret from the whole process was that we did not engage Melissa earlier. She provided critical and timely advice on colors, fixtures, patterns, furniture choices, etc. She provided this advice based on our tastes, but with a professional eye. She came up with great ideas for paint schemes and vendors. And she probably saved us more money with her discounts than she cost. We highly recommend Melissa, and would happily work with her again on future projects.

Melissa helped in decorating my living room and dining room and selecting wall color and flooring for the office. She was easy to work with. She has a great eye for color and a large selection of vendors for art, fabric and rugs. The rooms coordinate well together and work with my existing home and colors. She was great with working with the pieces that I wanted to keep and bringing in things to compliment my home and style.

I have known Melissa Rosenstrach Zimmerman for pretty much my whole life. The fact that she singlehandedly established Brynn Charles Designs, let alone that I am taking time to write this review, speaks volumes as to the authenticity in her passion and the validity of her skills. After obtaining multiple college degrees, Melissa established this business out of her passion for interior design and her drive and will for personal success. This theme echoes throughout her personal life as well as her professional one. I used Melissa's interior design services to totally outfit my new beach townhouse at the Jersey shore, and I couldn’t recommend anyone more highly than her! She easily covers all the “A’s” of personal service - Availability, Affability, Ability, and Attitude. I was admittedly intimidated by the process but she exhibited an exorbitant amount of patience with me throughout; from paint and color choices, to furniture selection and layout, to complex combinations to achieve a desired appearance, to smart and savvy purchasing - you just can’t go wrong with Melissa. She insists that it’s not her happiness with the final product that matters - it’s YOURS, the person who has to live and work there! I’ll definitely be counting on her knowledge and services again.
