Dream House Dream Kitchens

First of all this review is about 4 months late. Thank you Jerry, Kevin, Kimberlin, Scott, David, Eric, Tony and everyone else that worked on our place! My Wife and I on a daily Basis comment to each other how great it is and how happy we were with the process. We started the process in March of 2018, we moved out as it was almost a complete remodel in July of 2018 understanding that with an anticipated 13 weeks to completion it could go longer, which we were OK with. The best surprise was that we were moved back in by week 14. They communicated every week with the process and which contractors were in the condo each week. Since we live in a condo we always receive communication about the workers in the building and responsiveness to noise or issues that come up, They passed with flying colors as we received nothing but positive comments about their politeness and professionalism. Our project included 2 bathrooms a kitchen and a new lounge are that was created from an old closet and unused storage space and increased our doors from standard to 96 inches. The project required significant demolition and carpentry. While they had their own team for Cabinets electricians and carpentry they outsourced some specialized features. Coordinating with our Concrete floor contractor, Tile 360,Custom Metal island cloud as well as a walnut island surround. We are extremely happy with everything from the Quality, Professionalism, Timeliness and Adaptiveness of the team. Not to get all gushy but I would not work with anyone else on a remodel project, We love our place and can’t believe we didn’t do it sooner.

We worked with Dream Kitchens (DK) on a project that including tearing down walls to create an open concept main floor & master bath remodel. The upside of DK is that you work with one project manager, which, if you tackled a project like this on your own (managing sub-contractors etc), could turn into an overwhelming project. Just like on the TV shows dealing with remodels, there’s always going to be a “surprise” and some technical challenges, but in the end, you have to judge DK on their communication, attention to detail, and willingness to deliver an outstanding (& beautiful) product. Since the DK crew was always positive & upbeat while successfully delivering on these objectives, they definitely earned a 5-star rating.

The Dream Team-that’s who Dream Kitchens is! After years of talking about opening up our dated 90’s kitchen and adjoining rooms, we hired Dream Kitchens based on their reputation of delivering quality work. They did not disappoint. The end result is spectacular and we couldn’t be happier with our new home! Jerry, Scott and Bill led us through a complete renovation of the main level of our home. The entire team was incredibly talented, professional and just plain enjoyable to work with. Every step of the way we were informed of timeline, process and costs. Their availability and attention to all the details of our project was consistent throughout. Jenna is an extremely talented designer who pays close attention to functionality, flow and design detail. AND has the patience of a saint! She was able to turn our dream “wish list” into real workable plans, creating 3-D renderings that made it easy to visualize the new space. She incorporated many features we didn’t even think of that made the finished project not only a beautiful space but usable with great storage. We highly recommend Dream Kitchens and will absolutely work with them again. As a matter of fact, there is a lower level calling their name!

Dream Kitchens did not disappoint! No detail was left unturned! You deal with 1 designer and 1 project manager. They order and schedule everything for you...and i mean EVERYTHING so your schedule is not inconvenienced. They provided excellent air circulation during construction, were always friendly, always cleaned up after themselves, listened to our questions/concerns and answered every single one quickly. They were generous with their time. If we couldn't make a decision on a paint color or door knob our designer would be over the next day to walk us through options and help us create solutions. They contacted us often to make sure we were comfortable with the schedule, the progress, the staff etc. I cannot recommend them enough! Everyone that walks into our house is in awe of the kitchen and we jump on the opportunity to talk about our experience with Dream.

Dream kitchens was fantastic to work with during our new custom home build. They did the majority of our cabinetry, kitchen, bathrooms, and other misc areas. We worked with Tani on the design and she made the process so easy and fun. We are very pleased with the end product in terms of design, quality and functionality. Their pricing was very competitive and I don't feel there is a better value out there for cabinetry in the Milwaukee/ Madison area. Service was outstanding from start to finish. A wonderful company, I highly recommend Tani and Dream Kitchens!!

My husband and I were in the process of building our first home, looking at several contractors, when we visited Dream Kitchens. We made it clear from the beginning that our budget was limited, but that we didn't want to sacrifice quality just because so. The staff at Dream made it a point to listen to our ideas and wants in order to give us the design we wanted, while sticking to our budget. We have two young kids that we had to bring with us to design meetings and the team at Dream was always accommodating and patient. We are over the moon in love with our kitchen and can't wait to begin making memories in the beautiful space Dream created for us!

Dream House-Dream Kitchen is an amazing firm to work with. From the very beginning when we interviewed other firms, we knew Dream was different. They were creative but also listened to our needs and desires. Meeting with them as we selected our fixtures and finishes, they guided but didn't push. The finished product was amazing but our relationship didn't end there. Any time we have needed help or suggestions with our house, Dream has helped us out. They actually make you feel like family-and they are all dear people.

My husband and I were very pleased with the professionalism, attentiveness and high-end work used in the remodel of our kitchen, master bath and powder bath. Our first meeting was with the owner, Keven Schmidt, and Mary Steeno, a designer. None of the other remodeling companies offered as much in initial meetings and we were not exactly sure of what needed to be done so very appreciative of all suggestions made. We feel this company is like the Gold Standard, keeping everything running smoothly and verifying with us each step of the way. We lived in our home during the remodel which allowed us to see first hand their craftsmanship and allowing us more control on what was happening at the time. We also appreciated that most workers are also employees of Dream (with the exception of plumbing and carpet/tile install) which made them very responsive to our questions and concerns. What impressed us most is the cabinetry, which was perfect and if any mar found, it was immediately removed and replaced. It was custom made in every sense and allowed us to choose 'frameless' cabinets, which are more efficient with greater storage. We didn't realize this initially, but noticed that only Lutron electrical switches are used. which is high end, giving us a dimmer on every primary switch for every light. In the process of the remodel, we had some tricky problems needing resolution and they were all resolved to our great satisfaction. Mary was very helpful in joining us during the selection of our tile, carpet, cabinetry, hardware, countertops and light fixtures, along with plumbing fixtures. Her expertise impressed us very much.

Dream House Dream Kitchens (DHDK) completed a project for my husband and me just before Christmas 2015. We chose them for the project after reading reviews from a number of resources, including houzz, and determined them to most closely match what we were looking for in a contractor after speaking with them and another Madison remodeling contractor. We were delighted w/ their work. We met w/ Keven and one of his designers Mary, a couple of times to work our specifications before they developed a detailed project plan, timeline and budget. There were no changes to the budget except those requested by us (i.e. unplanned outlets). They have strong relationships w/ retailers around the Southern WI area which allowed us to get discounted pricing on hardware, appliances, plumbing etc. for those items we were directly responsible for. Everyone with DHDK was professional and highly skilled in the work they performed. Two employees really stood out; Andrew, who worked in the capacity of a general contractor working on a number of projects, and Pat, who installed the cabinets. These two men performed exceptional work and we were delighted to have them on our project. We had just one complaint that was handled by Keven but it did cost us time on the project. Overall I am very satisfied with the ideas Keven and his team offered as well as the highly skilled staff he has on board. I will definitely choose Keven and his crew if I have another project to take on.

I am so impressed by this company! I know that they started with Dream Kitchen's which is their main business, but they have expanded to Dream Homes, which I have seen first hand and never have been more impressed in their design and exquisite finishes! Diane Holmes, Realtor

Very rude talked us like we were stupid and poor, one should not judge people on apperance. As it turns out that were out of our budget but that should not matter. The lady basically told us to go to home depot cause you cant afford us without ever getring any finacial info from us. Thanks for ruining our day.

This is a great team of professionals lead by Keven and Terri Schmidt that can handle anything you or your project can throw at them. Our project was the renovation/remodeling of our families 100 year old farm house. One half of the house (kitchen, hearth room with new wood burning fireplace, half bath, laundry room, master suite, master bath, new guest bath) was gutted and redesigned, the other half (walk in pantry, dining room, den, family room, 3 bedrooms) carefully restored. All 37 windows and 5 doors were replaced with period correct modern windows. All wood trim in the new half of the house was manufactured to match the original trim from 1910. The house had sagging floors which were raised and leveled on the 1st and 2nd floor. We wanted to keep the "farm house" feel and the designer (Connie) did a great job of pulling all our ideas together. We interviewed 3 different remodelers in the area and Dream House Dream Kitchens was by far the best....for about the same cost! Great follow up too!
