About Us

I go beyond closet systems, and incorporate who you are and how you live into a totally custom storage design without the production limitations many closet companies have.I'm an award winning closet/custom storage designer. I'm also the first certified Master Storage Designer in the country and a former judge for the closet industries "Top Shelf Design Awards". I also served two terms at the Chicago NKBA President. Multi-passionate design professional who loves making the world a more beautiful place one closet or home office at a time. And love sharing great tips and projects through blogging and articles. I draw alot of inspiration from the streets of Chicago and the world class architecture we have here, as well as the infinite horizon and changing colors of lake Michigan.

Valet Custom Cabinets & Closets

Denise Butchko is one of the premier closet designers/trainers in North America. Her years of experience and winning attitude make her my first choice to guide new designers toward success. In addition, her vast network of resources and extensive travels make her an invaluable source of knowledge and advice. With great enthusiasm and trust, I highly recommend Denise Butchko! ~Patrick Layne, Vice President - Valet Custom Cabinets & Closets.

Elle H-Millard Designs

Denise and Richie presented for the NKBA at KBIS 2014 and blew the sock off of their audience, so we invited them back to present as part of our webinar series and they did not disappoint. Their chemistry, humor, knowledge, and fun is so contagious and really inspiring. I cannot wait to work with them again in the future and would love to refer them to you as a presenter. Thank you both and good luck on your next adventure.

This is the person you want to call. Denise is incredibly professional and full of great ideas and suggestions to make the most of your closet space. Her company did all of the closet install for my two son's rooms, my closet, my husband's, a china cabinet, four coat / storage closets and two utility/ storage areas. Her attention is detail makes her stand out from the other closet companies, and she delivers the best space planning for the right price.

Denise provided designs and coordinated installation for all of the closets and storage areas in our newly renovated loft (1 bedroom, an office, a hall closet, and a multi-purpose utility room.) The things I liked most about working with Denise were that she listened well, offered recommendations and designs that met our needs, then lets us make our own decisions. She was supportive and never pressed her own agenda. An upbeat and knowledgeable professional, who is easy to work with.

Comment from Denise Butchko/Butchko and Company:

Leslie and Lew were terrific to work with. They are organized and have reasonable expectations of what they get in return for what they invest.

User

Denise is a highly-skilled designer, both from a solutioning and an aesthetic perspective. She has a broad-based background that informs her work and enables her to deliver highly-functional and pleasing results every time. Her lengthy and varied background (millwork, hardware, marketing) and professional generosity are the reason that she is a “go-to” person for other industry professionals. In short, Denise is a valuable resource.
