We hired them to complete a 600sf addition and had countless problems, including poor project management, poor workmanship, terrible communication, countless delays, and price gouging. The job is still not complete, a year into signing the contract. They have failed to establish timelines for anything. The only activity they have been prompt at is sending invoices. They have had countless errors, including making unapproved modifications to a structural wall because they failed to properly measure rough openings for our windows. This resulted in failed inspections and costly delays. They have attempted to cut corners at every turn. Their construction managers are rarely on-site and never send communication unless prompted and ownership has failed to compensate for their errors or improve the quality of their service.

There have been a number of projects completed at my home by Advance Design Studio. The most recent project was an upgrade of my basement apartment. The options presented to me in the visionary phase were beyond what I could have imagined on my own. During the planning process, a realistic timeline was presented and executed according to the plan. Clean up and follow through was thorough. I recommend ADS for remodeling or addition projects. Their design seminars on Saturdays are a great place to start when a person is ready for a lifestyle upgrade in their home.

We just finished up a galley kitchen remodel with Advance. I found them on this app and all I can say is run, don’t walk to them. Excellent customer service, follow up, contractor construction and craftsmanship. I have zero complaints and I am in total love with my new kitchen.

We had planned a complete gut job on our bathroom. But after many years of watching home, improvement shows on television we were a bit skittish. We ultimately interviewed 12 contractors. Mike Holmes always says interview interview interview. We settled on Advanced Design Studios. We couldn't be more happy and proud of our lovely bathroom. The design came together in one sitting. They just 'got me' and what I liked. There were no surprises, no frustration, We had one slight blip of a mirror being too large, but they rectified it within 24 hours. I can honestly say without hesitation, this company is outstanding and every single person that we dealt with inside the walls of Advance Design and the contractors they used were absolutely the best.

The whole experience went more smoothly than expected. We got what we wanted. We talked to competing fims and they did not demonstrate a high level of experience or professionalism. ADS provided documentation on several similar projects and good references. We had no issues at all with the Advance Design Studio team on our project. They were a pleasure to work with.

We had a full remodel completed on our kitchen (including a wall tear down) and master bath, along with adding LVP flooring, and every interior door being replaced. I couldn't be happier with our choice to go with Advance Design Studio. They finished our the remodel faster than anticipated and it looks amazing. We already have some other projects we're reviewing in the very near future!

The project my wife and I hired ADS to perform consisted of the remodeling of our kitchen by replacing all the old appliances, countertops and sink and faucet, and installation of a new under the sink reverse osmosis drinking water system. Between the designer Ewa Nowak and the project coordinator Ed Beatty, the team did an outstanding job within the prescribed timeframe. The work was clean and the work ethics were commendable. We recommend ADS to anyone requiring remodeling of kitchen, bathroom, etc…

Let me start by saying our job was scheduled to be done in November of 2019. We had been made tons of promises that never were kept. We did our kitchen, half bath, basement, laundry room, stairs going up to the second floor, hallways, and painting of all areas. Most of the time, no one would show up at their expected time, if they showed at all. When they would come to fix something, they would mess up something else. Example, they were replacing tiles that did not match behind the toilet and cracked a tile in front by setting the toilet on it. It was fixed with some sort of epoxy. When the basement floor was put in the first time, whoever put it down did not know what they were doing. In addition he kicked the plug to our pump out, so when we did our first load of laundry, the whole room flooded. It had to be replaced because of the floor we had chosen. It also caused the wood to rot in the door way to our new closet. This was not replaced, but patched. One of the other problems we had was they only ever sent one painter to do all the rooms. He was very slow, and his work was not the greatest. We had to have him come back to fix areas many times. We did not get the bevel on the countertop we ordered. I wanted a curved staircase, but this was not done. I already have to replace the carpet on the stairs because it is very cheap, and they did not shim the steps so it creeks to high Heaven. The didn’t replace old wood, the reused it. There are several areas that won’t take color because the wood is to old. I wanted the countertop and cabinets to go into the dining room, this was not done. They replaced a skylight, but didn’t repair and paint the inside of it. They put on a new fireplace mantle, but never asked me what I wanted. I’m fairly sure I got someone else’s discard, this had to be replaced. They did not grout the tile or paint under the bathroom sink, which is on legs. This was eventually fixed. We had many other issues, mostly disorganization and no shows. My kitchen cabinets were all replaced and one of the drawers is a different shade from all the others. The original one was damaged, and they came back twice to try and fix it. Each time, it only got worse. We gave them the last payment and haven’t heard when they are going to fix my warranted drawer. I’m pretty sure by now it’s discontinued. Please keep in mind that this was all supposed to be done before covid ever hit. I’m also pretty sure when we were told by Jason that they would always be available if problems arose in the future, that that won’t be the case. We spent about $140,000.00, plus purchased three of the light fixtures and the appliances ourselves. They were also going to do our floors, but we have decided to use someone else. So I’m left with these ugly thick wood pieces in between rooms that they were going to replace when they did the floors. They also cut the dry wall for the kitchen and bathroom in the hallway. We are still cleaning up from that fiasco. Much, much more

The finished product, attention to detail and the quality of the workmanship is above our expectations. The workmen were skilled and left everything clean. From the initial meeting to the end of our project everything went extremely smooth. Our designer, Rachel, really brought our vision to reality.

ADS recently completed a remodel or our entire first floor and we couldn't be happier! We LOVE our new spaces! Our new kitchen is spectacular! So often you hear about construction nightmares, but I can honestly say that we had NONE of that! From our very first meeting with ADS we knew we were in expert hands! From beginning to end, our team was professional, creative, patient, responsive, and a pleasure to work with. I use those words intentionally, because we really felt a part of the team. Our designer, Claudia, listened to our needs (even when we were unsure exactly what our needs were) and she worked diligently to include what we were looking for within our budget. Then, when I changed my mind, or decided to add things later, our ADS team was ALWAYS willing to make it happen! ADS provided a detailed project proposal and investment analysis so that we could make the best possible decisions before work ever started. We knew where our money was being spent, which made it easier to add a few more dollars to the budget when we wanted to add items, that we never knew we wanted, to make our final project perfect! Our project manager and carpenter became part of our family. They were professional, approachable and always willing to take time to explain things to us. In addition, the communication we received throughout our project was outstanding. Each step of the renovation brought new subcontractors and schedules. We always knew what was coming next (from the timeline provided to us prior to the start of the project), and who would be coming into our home (from frequent, direct, communication from our project manager). All of the ADS employees, those we worked with directly, those behind the scenes, as well as the sub-contractors they used, were professional, courteous, and outstanding craftsmen. Prior to this project, we had ZERO construction experience, and had no idea how we were going to make this transformation happen. But ADS came to our rescue. There simply is no other choice. ADS was equipped to handle every part of this renovation from design, through construction, to completion. We did not have the time or knowledge to be running around looking for materials and supplies. ADS took care of everything, and then some! Common Sense Remodeling... it really is possible with ADS! They exceeded our expectations in every way. When it is time for another project, we will, without a doubt, call on ADS again.

Advance Design Studio did a complete remodel of my kitchen and a powder room as well as installing wood floors throughout my first floor. From the design process through the final walkthrough, everything about the project was professionally managed and was a great experience. The skills of my designer, Michelle, and the software used to display images of the final product made the design process very easy. Michelle had a good understanding of my project requirements, but she also did not hesitate to make suggestions that deviated from my vision. As a result, I have a kitchen that is far more beautiful than anything I could have imagined. Everything about ADS is customer focused. They truly put their customer first.

We selected ADS for our kitchen remodeling project. We were drawn to ADS because they offered a full suite of services that seamlessly worked together. Our designer put together options that took into account contemporary trends, our preferences, and budget considerations. The onsite project team kept us well informed along the way. Whenever we had questions or provided feedback, they were always patient and accommodated everything that we asked for. At all times, the crew were a pleasure to work with and put in as much care as if they were working on their own homes. The end product is phenomenal and we love our new kitchen.

I enthusiastically recommend Advance Design Studio. The quality of their work is fantastic and they also have a well-run administrative end that can easily accommodate changing circumstances. We started working with them on an ambitious renovation project – too ambitious for the lender, as it turns out, so we had to scale down. ADS quickly drafted a revised, more modest proposal, but still did a great deal of work, ultimately under budget. Our lender required quite a bit of documentation from our contractors, and ADS was especially helpful during that process, so much so that our loan manager specifically mentioned how easy they were to work with. Ultimately, ADS replaced a window, painted a bedroom, installed a stove, hood, tile, refrigerator, toe-kick, drywall, and antique light fixtures, and fabricated a custom door for attic access. We have only scratched the surface of what our house needs done, and we expect to return to ADS when we are ready to undertake the next project.

Advance Design Studio is a pleasure to work with through the entire renovation process. My project began with an idea. It has now reached the final stages of a beautifully renovated upper level living space. This firm consistently practices the value of relationship building, transparency, communication, collaboration and good craftsmanship. My designer Claudia was such a delight to work with. She is genuine and caring with the ability to listen, visualize and share her knowledge with consideration of all your ideas. Claudia is a gifted designer who will help you choose the materials that unify the aesthetic and function of your space. Jason who just happens to be one of the nicest people I have ever met, coordinated the timeliness and workmanship of the entire project. He was wonderfully present when needed and always responded to my concerns no matter how trivial. The showroom is lovely, the staff are professional and friendly. At my home the sub-contractors were considerate team players through out the project. All of these individuals work hard to bring the old and new elements of a home renovation together in a thoughtful and respectful way. When you consider the challenges and potential hardship with any renovation Advance Design Studio will exceed your expectations for success. After completion of my upstairs project I can't wait to begin a kitchen renovation with this talented group of folks who really care about their clients and the beautiful transformation they can bring to your home. We hired Advanced Design April 2019 to add a four season room and a bathroom addition. we were completely happy and amazed with the knowledge and craftsmanship this company had. Especially to our designer Nicole Ryan, she has a talent beyond belief. We advised what we wanted done and she took it from there and designed the most beautiful bathroom and sun room we could have ever imagined. We cannot say enough about her talent as a designer and thank her for her help. The construction staff also needs to be mentioned for their extraordinary work and their dedication to the project and their company. Nichole was the designer and offered creative alternatives to the dilemma of our 55 year old master math. It was a complete gut job. Ed was our project manager and stayed on top of deliverables. I have no reservation hiring ADS for our next design project.

Our master bathroom was renovated by Advance Design and we could not be happier! Nicole was our designer and Jason Johnson was our project manager. Both of these professionals are top of the line and extremely personable. RC and Amir were two of the additional workers that were here and added to the smoothness of the job. The renovation was done in a timely manner and with very little disruption to our every day life. I cannot imagine a better experience in a remodel project. All I had to do was make choices. From the designer and project manager to each of the craftsmen ......my appreciation and respect for a job beautifully done.

Advance Design helped us remodel two bathrooms. They created a Chicago style with authentic brick and iron looking fixtures. The second one has chevron tile in the shower and a beautiful stick wood on the wall behind the sink and toilet. We are very happy and looking forward to doing another project with them in the future!

Advance Design installed a gas fireplace with mantel and bookcases & cabinets on each side in our family room. In addition they added cabinets to our kitchen, installed new quartz counter tops, quartz sink, and new appliances. I found them to be reliable, helpful, and careful in their work. They also came back for a final check to make sure all was as it should be and that we were happy with it. I would definitely use them again.

I used Advance Design Studios for a maintenance project at my home. I needed the pillars on my front porch replaced as they had rotted out. I also purchased 4 beautiful sconces and had Advance Design install them. Overall they a great job! The work was a bit pricey but they did a great job and I would recommend them.

We used Advance Design Studio for two of our homes in Palatine. Our main home had an entire kitchen overhaul and we truly believe it was what helped us sell our home so quickly! The second home was a town home that we we had been renting. We used ADS to renovate and re-imagine our kitchen and 2 bathrooms there. The entire staff @ ADS worked well together and with us. We were pleased with the pricing, the quality and all the completed projects. I would return to ADS in a heartbeat should I need any other work done.

We effectively had a whole house remodel, and I can’t say enough good things about Advanced Design. Claudia walked up through every step at our pace and never once rushed us. Her designs were spectacular and well though out, as well as presented in beautiful 3D models. The work crew was always on time, always respectful of our time and always willing too stop on a dime if we had a question or concern. Getting our project right was their number one concern. We used Advance Design Studio for a renovation in our kitchen. Their attention to detail is remarkable. Their choices of employees, their staff that would enter our home, was also something that we very much appreciated. We could trust their contractors. We were extremely happy with our project and actually hope to have Advance Design remodel our master bath as our next project.

When we were ready to remodel our family room, we called 3 companies that gave us quotes. Advance Design was the 3rd out, and what a difference! Todd impressed us with his professionalism and attention to detail. But, I was thinking the price would be too high. We were so happy to find that the price was competitive with the others we received. "Ed" did all the work...fine workmanship, and just a really nice guy. This company is efficient, precise, clean, and always communicated well with us. We needed a tiny shower and large soaking tub removed and replaced with a small linen closet and large shower with double doors opening from the middle for my 94 year old mother. We were always well-informed as to what was being done, workmen cleaned the area ever single day, and if there were any delays (almost none!), someone from Advance Design called us promptly. We felt so fortunate to have them as our bathroom remodel company. I would highly recommend them to everyone!

I would highly recommend Advance Design Studio for home remodeling. We hired them to design and build a high-end bar in our kitchen, plus add wainscoting to our living room and update the staircase. Every individual that we encountered was professional, courteous, knowledgable, and trustworthy. We chose Advance Design because we liked their design style on prior projects. Also the pre-build sessions ensured we were set up for success. The concept drawings were awesome. The mill-work, especially our ceiling, is incredible. Jon did a phenomenal job on our bead-board ceiling. It makes the room. DJ was on top of the project and ultra-responsive to anything we needed during the project. We will be doing our basement and will definitely give Advance Design the first shot at it.

I've been a client at Advance Design for over ten years now. I've watched this company grow into an amazing company under the careful leadership of Todd and Christine Jurs. Originally they renovated my first home ten years ago by doing extensive alterations to layout including my kitchen and master bath. Recently they completed a large project on my current home, which included a second story addition, a first floor renovation with kitchen, powder room, laundry room and foyer. I've enjoyed their talented staff on each project, and was really impressed with the current system they have in place which made the entire experience easy when it could have been super stressful. I would not hesitate to recommend them to my friends or neighbors. I especially appreciated how their crew took great pains to make sure my home was kept as reasonably clean as possible despite the enormity of the task. Everyone I encountered during the project from the office staff, my designer, my project manager and the guys on the job site were professional and kind to me, something you don't see in business all the time anymore. Kudos to Todd and Christine for the work they have obviously done to train their staff to be such a cohesive group. Thank you for another great experience Advance Design.

Excellent company to work with. I have used them 3 times over the span of 16 years. Finishing my basement, expansion of kitchen and building of a loft. Very professional, cleaned up after themselves, and good communication.

We have had about the worst experience anyone could have with a contractor with Advance Design. We paid them a lot of money to redo our kitchen. At first things went well, the workers were courtious, people were solicitous and helpful, the job got done on schedule. But the minute they had our last payment things changed. There were lots of problems with the work, some minor but irksome, some more important. As soon as we didn't owe them any money our emails were ignored, people responded to complaints slowly if at all, it has been fifteen months since the "punch list" walk through and problems indentified then are still unaddressed. The cabinets they recommended we buy have been a disaster, there has never been a single day during the entire fifteen months we have had them that there was not a significant part broken. They are under warantee, and the broken pieces keep getting replaced, but one of the reasons people like to do something like get a new kitchen is to be able to sit in it for months, years even if the work is well done, and enjoy being in a room where things aren't broken. That will never happen for us. Any job can go bad for various reasons out of the company's control, but Advance Design's response to the disaster that has been our kitchen remodel has been the opposite of caring and concerned. Instead it has seemed to me as if it is "we have your money, go away." My experience with this company has been awful.

I've had the honor of working with Advanced Design Studio for 12 wonderful years. They truly embody the term 'customer-centric' from start to finish, and even beyond. The partnership between myself (and Abt) has yielded many kitchens, and most importantly, many genuinely happy clients. They stand behind their work, and really design the remodeling experience to be a breeze. Their staff is knowledgeable, caring, and always puts the client needs first. They are among the few design firms I work with, who always is on schedule. I think it's fair to share a story of a client who didn't proceed with Advanced Design Studio. The homeowner felt it was too expensive, and decided to proceed with their project, acting as their own GC. Abt was able to supply appliances for their home, and they purchased cabinets from Home Depot. There was an obvious disconnect between their cabinet designer, the client, and their appliance selections, so much so, that the project took an additional 6 months to resolve a discrepancy between the hood liner purchased, and the custom hood ordered through Home Depot. This was an additional 6 months after the homeowner finished her own renovations (which was longer than originally anticipated) It ended with hours of the home owners time, my time and the folks at Home Depot's time before a much more expensive (and not as effective) solution came to be. I just kept thinking how, in all the years I've worked with ADS, and all the custom hoods they've done, we've never once had an issue like this. The homeowner was livid, and unhappy through the ups and downs of her own remodel, which seemed to span an eternity. While it may have cost her less initially, it certainly cost her more not to use Advanced Design studio, in money, time, and frustration for sure. Conversely, Advanced Design would have mitigated the issue before it even existed. I'm in constant contact with their design team, working to take the worry out of every remodel, actively pursuing client satisfaction, beyond even what the client expects. There is so much value in having a design build firm working for you- especially with the meticulous care that Advanced Design Studio does. I can't say that I feel comfortable recommending anyone else. They truly are a pleasure to partner with!

Advance Design Studio renovated and expanded our master bathroom, renovated another full bathroom, and re-floored our family room. We chose Advance Design Studio initially because of their willingness to obtain village permits and their projected cost estimate. The project was completed under permit; we passed the village inspections on first inspection, and all the work was completed within the proposed budget by Advance Design. Nicole was a great designer, she was easy to work with, helping us pick materials that were exactly what we wanted within our budget framework. Our project manager, DJ, helped us immensely when issues arose, and we were able to get issues resolved quickly. They also had extremely nice subcontractors, including the plumber, drywaller, tilers, and painters. Advance Design Studio's design drawings provided a perfect mockup of the finished product. The design for our master bath maximized the space and made it perfect for practical utilization. Aesthetically, the project turned out even better than we had expected!

Could not have been handled more professionally and the workmanship on the job was excellent. Tile, cabinets, and design could not be better. Great people and company to work with.

My fear was not sticking to the budget, but the project went according to plan. Our project was very fulfilling – exceeding all sorts of expectations. The craftsmanship, the professionalism of the workers and contractors exceeded expectations. The team under Josh did an exceptional job! Amir, Josh, Brent, Jeff – all fantastic! They were all a pleasure to be around and made it a non-stressful undertaking. They put a lot of heart into our project and it shows.

Best contractor I've ever worked with! Hired Advance Design multiple times for a variety of projects including a major room addition, a kitchen redesign/remodel, raising roof levels to make an attic usable, and a variety of smaller jobs that some firms might consider a nuisance. Follow up and job supervision is exceptional and the work sites are cleaned up on a daily basis.

We decided to partner with Advance Design originally because of a recommendation by our community. Our first project, custom cabinets/counter tops for the laundry room, was done as a collaboration of ideas with Nicole and was executed so well by Justin. Our second project, drawers/shelving/rods for our master walk-in closet, went along as smoothly. Nicole helped with a design making the greatest use of space, and our install person (Jeff) was excellent. Both were so courteous, helpful, and did an excellent job.

We chose Advance Design Studio because of their sales process, design studio, and referrals. We had met with some previous remodelers who just provided an off-the-cuff estimate and didn't take the time to draw out the proposed basement layout, provide an itemized list of features, and didn't have the design center accommodations that Advance Design Studio had which allowed us to feel more relaxed during the whole process. DJ, our project manager, communicated with us clearly and always responded quickly. Jon was doing a lot of the carpentry work and was very helpful and communicated with us whenever we were at the house. Hiring a "design-build" company was very important to us as this reduced the need for us to oversee the various faculties (architecture, design, product selection, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, etc) trades on the job. They responded to our questions very promptly and demonstrated excellent quality of workmanship. Everyone we had contact with was excellent to work with, However, would like to recognize Matt Ferrara for his exceptional skills, problem solving, patience in listening to us on a daily basis, and service on the job - not to forget his really cool selection of music! Due to the magnitude of the project, we were concerned about finishing it on time, staying on budget, and the design. Advance Design Studio stayed on target and did a great job with it all! in closing, we would also like to note that following project completion, they offered us a 2-year warranty on all their work, products installed and even the third-party appliances that they had installed as part of the project. I just wanted to thank you folks (Advanced Design Studio) for the great work, and the two gentlemen that completed the work were very cordial, worked very well, and cooperative to work with us as a customer. I have to most recognize Jon, as he did majority of the work, and for a young individual, he has very good work ethics, and completed the job in a timely manner, with completion very much within our satisfaction. We felt that incorporating white, ceiling high cabinetry would help give the area a more open feeling. Our designer also had the idea of expanding the room by relocating the exterior wall 4' back onto our deck. Todd and his team more than met all of our remodeling needs and visions. With minimal disruption to our daily lives they succeeded in transforming spaces inside our home and out. Our inspector commented that it was some of the best work he's ever seen, throughout our project. And, they were able to take some of my own creative ideas and make them a reality.

I had been unhappy with my kitchen for several years. We moved into our house approx 10 yrs ago. The more I cooked and baked the more I realized it just did not work. It was a U shape with another part along the open part of the U. There were several major problems. 1) I only had small areas of counter top to work on. 2) when the appliances (oven, dishwasher, refrigerator) doors were opened it completely closed off the work area from the rest of the kitchen. I started the process by interviewing 5 companies. After explaining the above and that I wanted a long work area - 7-9ft. I also wanted to put the double oven in the corner. Also initially I did not want an island. There were only 2 companies whose representative said "ok". The other companies either gave me drawings with the same floor plan I had and hated, or told me that it would make his job a lot easier if I would agree to an island! I did decide that I wanted and island but instead of the wall of cabinets behind it being 24" deep we went with 12" deep. When it came down to deciding between Nicole with Advanced Design Studio and the other company I thought it would be a very hard decision to make. Turned out it was very easy. The other company came in at just over 50% over my maximum budget! Nicole was at the top end but I had added upgrades I had not planned on putting in. We also were going to be gone for 3 weeks starting 4 days after the start of the demolition. I felt very comfortable with everyone who worked on our kitchen and had no qualms about leaving during the construction. Everyone I had contact with was professional and friendly. They also responded to all of my questions. I quit sending emails on weekends because they would be responded to within and hour or so and I am a strong believer in people not doing work when they are not at work. Every so often my husband would ask "what about...?). It had already been addressed. I admit there was one major glitch. We had decided to put our very large French door refrigerator in the corner (instead of the oven). When they brought in the counter tops the upper doors of the refrigerator could not be opened without it being pulled out several extra inches. When Justin realized this, his first response was "We have to make this right by you". And they did! Two business days later they had something to raise the refrigerator and inch or so. I think it is important to know this because everyone I know that has remodeled said that something went wrong and the way the company reacts makes all of the difference. Long story short - they completed the project on time, on budget and I LOVE my new kitchen! As I have been using it over the past 4 mos, I have been impressed and surprised at the way it came together and how well it works. Not only does it work well but everyone who has seen it comments that it looks like a show kitchen!

Advance Design has been the firm that we have worked with for almost 20 years. Their work is excellent and they have worked hard to ensure that our projects have been completed on time, on budget and that we are completely happy with the results. ADS will continue to be the firm we go to on future renovations.

We had Advance Design install a direct vent fireplace with natural stone surround, mantel, and bookcases/ cabinets on the sides. It was the first time I had ever done a remodeling job of this nature and was happy with the way Todd walked us through the whole process from estimate to final payment. Todd always let me know what time the service providers would be coming and came to introduce each one of them before they began their work. Each individual on the service team acted professionally and gave me no cause for concern, and our project was finished according to the projected cost estimate and the projected time frame of approximately one week. When there were little design concerns or tweaks to be made along the way, Todd was quick to take care of them. Aspects of this company that I found unique among others were that (1) they were able to begin our project much sooner than others, (2) they offered computerized drawings of the project to help us visualize it and know we were on the same page, and (3) they were always quick to respond to our calls and emails. We hired Advanced Design to remodel the house my husband's grandfather built in 1946. By remodel, I mean we had them tear the house down to the studs and rebuild to get our home up to code. Every employee we encountered at Advanced Design was knowledgeable and really seemed to care about us and our project. The designers even walked around the neighborhood to help us get ideas for the exterior style of the house. We were never rushed in our decision making process and I feel that the people we worked with were extremely professional and helpful. As is to be expected with a project this large, there were some bumps in the road. Despite the small difficulties, Advanced Design came through. Anything that was not "right" was fixed and they kept open communication with us. We are completely satisfied with our recent bathroom remodeling project. The Advance Staff were extremely helpful providing suggestions for the redesign of the bathroom. In addition, their communications during the project were excellent. We always knew what was happening on a given day.

We completed an addition/major renovation of our first and second floors including a new kitchen, powder room, mud room, 2nd bath and master suite. Christine and Todd provided exceptional service. We were only 4% over budget 1% related to unforeseen expenses and 3% related to additions we wanted to make during the renovation. Every concern, be it minor or major was immediately addressed and resolved. The entire crew was kind, friendly, responsive and clean! We have heard nightmare stories from friend's experiences related to their contractors, related to long delays, grossly added expenses and crew not showing up for days. Without exception, the Advance Design crew was at our house EVERY day and they finished within 1 month of our completion date (related to unforeseen weather). It was so very helpful to have both Christine and Todd guide us through this process including edits to the architect plans and design advice. We are thrilled with our major home renovation and have had Advance Design out for 2 other minor projects since that time. We have highly recommended Advance Design to our friends and family. Our kitchen is amazing! It is the central focus of our home and our family. It is big, tremendously functional as well as warm and inviting. As I mentioned earlier, Advanced Design was not our lowest bid. However, we chose them because of the level of detail in their bid, the drawings of our completed home and the trust we felt with Christine and Todd. The first time I hired Advance Design was to build out a new front porch. Their work was flawless, everyone was professional and reliable, and they stuck to the budget and timeline. When it was time to gut our first floor, put in a kitchen, mudroom, and powder room they were the first call I made. Our house has an odd lay out, but their design team was able to create a gorgeous kitchen and flow throughout the first floor. Again they stuck to the timeline and budget, but most importantly I have the kitchen of my dreams. Help me to design and remodel the kitchen and bathrooms in a 50 year old house I had recently purchased. There was extensive remodeling including totally gutting the kitchen and bathroom down to the studs, moving interior walls, making new patio door openings to the outside and replaced all the homes windows. The design team was first rate and as a single man needed a lot of help coordinating colors and choosing cabinets. I couldn't have been happier with the service, workmanship, and smiling personalities.

My husband and I have used Advance Design on a few different occasions. We first used them to finish our basement. They were very prompt in meeting with us to discuss design. They were very open to listening to our needs/wants and carefully implemented them into the design. The quote they gave us which included labor and materials, was very reasonable compared to other companies we considered. One of our initial concerns was having the work completed within the estimated timeline. We have heard horror stories about other companies who have laborers that don't show or many issues that arise to halt the project. Advance design completed our project with in our expectations! The project manager was in constant contact with us and made sure that everything was being completed on time with quality. Todd Jurs the owner even came by on different occasions to make sure things were being done to our standards and to get our feedback. We couldn't be any happier with the results. We have also used Advance Design's handyman services for a roof repair. During a rainstorm, my son's ceiling began leaking terribly. I contacted Advance Design and they had a handyman out to us that day! I had contacted roofing companies that were either busy or didn't return my calls. I am happy to say that the handyman was able to repair our roof that day to prevent any further damage. My husband and I will continue to use Advance Design for our home improvement needs. We will happily recommend them to anyone!

We had our whole main floor completed, with the main focus being the kitchen. We had new lighting and hardwood floors installed throughout. During the entire process we were kept up to speed on the progress and provided great options. When we did have concerns, we feel they were taken seriously and worked out quickly.

Many years ago we had our kitchen, first floor office and family room gutted, as well as the basement finished all by Advance Design. They did a fantastic job! To this day we continue to receive compliments, especially on our kitchen and first floor laundry room. The team was kind, listened to all of our concerns, even the little day to day ones (We used to leave post it notes.) The workers always cleaned up at the end of the day, and it was a joy to walk in and see all that they accomplished. At the same time we did our renovation my good friend did her kitchen as well. She was her own general contractor. Even though she searched all the sales, all of our appliances, cabinets... all came out about the same price. The only difference was I had a team of professionals and she had to do all the work herself, which was very trying on her patience. One of the things Advance Design did that I liked the most was give a low, middle and high cost option. It was easy to review, and figure out together what we should put more money into. They were always supportive of our design ideas, but when I asked for their opinion they shared, never pushed. You know how on the renovation shows people cry? I had that moment after our entire first floor of hardwood was refinished. It was a tough job, with extensive patching, due to the removal of a wall. I walked in the front door and burst into tears. It was so beautiful. The re-finisher was standing there wondering what was going on with this homeowner crying, and I had to keep saying, "Beautiful. Beautiful." (All of the contractors they hired out were that good.) I've told many friends, "Hire them."

Advance Design Studio, Ltd. turned my run down kitchen into a beautiful masterpiece. Their initial process is more involved than other remodeling firms, but I found it refreshing. Like most people, this was a big investment for me and knowing the details of the process was extremely important and helpful when making decisions. They worked with me to create my dream kitchen within my budget. From my initial meeting, to design, to installation, my experience with the office staff and carpenters was both pleasant and professional. The experience was so positive that I ended up working for them a year later.

I really love my kitchen. I like the double oven, large sink, light fixture, pull out (double) trash can. I especially LOVE the counter depth fridge and the beverage fridge. Everyone was a pleasure to work with. I would say that Nicole was great to work with. She had some great ideas and didn't make me feel bad when I changed a few things around. Also, Josh was very nice and easy to talk to. He did a great job of communicating expectations (i.e. time of arrival, days certain things would be done, etc.

Needing a "senior friendly" shower, we had Todd and Christine, and their design team, design and revise our existing bathroom space to make it so. They asked specific and pertinent questions right from the start to ensure their understanding of our needs and expectations and the finished product hit the nail right on the hand! The tile work is exceptional...first class in beauty and function and leaves absolutely nothing left to be desired. The extra large glass door shower is the high end quality and gives the "ritz" look and feeling. All word was done in a timely manner and right on budget with no cost surprises. Workmanship in all phases of construction was absolute first rate and the workman were polite and clean working throughout the process. No dust was allowed to gather and all debris was promptly carried away. We highly recommend Advance Design Studio for their turnkey remodeling operation. Were very grateful for their expertise in design, construction, quality and professional operation.

Advance Design completely remodeled our kitchen and family room, includig taking out a wall that seperated family room and kithcen and putting in a bar. They were great, on time within budget and excellent quality. We recently sold our home and the key to the sale as stated by the buyers and other interested purchasers was the great kithcen and family room that was remodeled by Advance Design.

We were exceptionally pleased with our kitchen renovation with Advance Design. Our entire kitchen was gutted. They were creative, professional, neat and very detail oriented. Our cabinets were installed meticulously. They did come back after the project was complete when there were some minor adjustments. It's about 7 years later and we still love our kitchen! Simply put, they did a fantastic job!

We hired Advance Design Studio to finish our basement and to build custom cabinets in our upstairs Great Room. In both cases, they provided terrific ideas and suggestions that we would never have thought about. They stayed on schedule, and completed on budget. They always were sensitive to keeping their work areas clean as well as removing their shoes when needed, which was really appreciated. We are well satisfied with the final product and there is no doubt, we would hire them again in an instant.

We don't know how to begin! We had our first experience with Advance Design Studio almost 19 years ago when Todd built our house. Since then Advance Design has added a sunroom and third car garage to our home, as well as repair some water damage we had from our roof. Everyone is always professional, respectful and thorough. Todd's calm personality eased any anxiety we might be having through all the building or repairs. We never felt nickled and dimed to death and any extras that we incurred were only due to suggestions or options that came up along the way. Advance Design provided our home with a completely new Master Bath, gutting the entire room and redoing it from scratch. They also converted a half bath to a makeup/dressing room. We also had them install a new quartz countertop in the kitchen and utility bath. All was done to our complete satisfaction at a fair price. All the personal were very professional and accommodating.

Advance Design completely redid our kitchen ,family room and made an unused room into a library. The design staff was very creative and very respectful of our wishes and desires. The construction crew was excellent. They gave us a day by day schedule at the beginning of the project and adhered to it although we got weary with the project at the end they were so kind to us. They cleaned up at the end of every day and did all they could to keep the dust under control. The finished project was amazing. We are very happy

The craftsmen on this project were not only professional, the work they did was superior. They were meticulous and made sure everything was cleaned up when they were done each day. Our experience with Advance Design and our master bathroom remodel was excellent. Three years ago we had Advance Design remodel our kitchen. We were very satisfied with their work and did not even consider having anyone else remodel our bathroom. Everyone who you encounter on their staff is very professional and knowledgeable. Nicole was our designer for both our kitchen and bathroom. She has wonderful ideas and was so easy to work with. She was very quick to answer any of my concerns and I would certainly use her again if a third project comes along! Dave was our project manager and lead carpenter. Again, he did great work and always kept me posted on a daily basis as to what was happening. We had the same subs for the electrical, plumbing, and tile work as we had for the kitchen. All do great work. Everyone is friendly, honest, and you would have no concerns having any of the workers in your home. Our bathroom came in very close to the original estimate. Costs increased slightly when I changed to a different tile for the floor and shower. We were able to keep costs down by gutting the bathroom ourselves. We also did the painting and trim work. It is great that Advance Design allows you to do this. I now have a beautiful new kitchen and bathroom in my home. Thank you Advance Design!

Justin, Scott, and Matt all get positive reviews...each for a different reason. Scott and Justin were always easy to get in contact with. Justin worked hard to 'make things fit' even when they didn't the first time. Matt was always pleasant to work with and quick with a smile and an answer to a challenge. They're all good at what they do, they just specialize in different areas. We also enjoyed the high level of communication with our painter. He indicated that you kept him informed on progress so that he could plan his other jobs around your schedule. Although remodeling projects like ours can be very challenging, our experience was a very positive one because of the experience, integrity, and work ethic of your staff. You 'helped' us to make decisions without letting us feel as though we were being 'directed' down a specific path. You said what you'd do, and you did what you said...always promptly, and with a smile.

I have been providing architectural services for Advance Design Studio for many years, involving many different types of projects, and I can say that each project has always put the customer's needs first. The attention to detail and the courtesy that is provided is hard to find, and their ability to create a well-built living space is always appreciated, especially by the homeowner.

Our home is 24 years old and the kids are now all on their own. We decided it was time to upgrade two rooms in our house. The first was the master bathroom. The second was the kitchen. We looked at several companies to do the work and felt the designer at Advance seemed to be on the same page as my wife and I and the work was competitive to everyone else. The project manager assigned to us was very responsive and worked around our schedules to get the work completed. We did a complete renovation in the bathroom. Tile in the shower, the floor and around the whirlpool bath. I have to say the contractors Advance used were second to none. On time, friendly and most of all very professional and proud of their work. The second phase was the kitchen. This was stressful as being without a kitchen was tough. We had new cabinets, tile floor, tile backsplash, and some change in pantry space. To our pleasure the project was completed ahead of time. When we have another project we will not hesitate to use Advance Design Studio again.

We chose Advance Design Studio again because we had previous experience with them, and they gave us great workmanship on our kitchen! They had constant presence during timeline and were most always on job site every morning at set times. Our main concern was being able to have a soaker tub with shower enclosure. It was not an easy task with the space and logistics of our old set up. Advance Design Studio addressed the issue and found a suitable solution. Matt, our lead carpenter, has always exceeded our expectation in many aspects of our projects. He has great attention to detail and is very easy to discuss any issues.

I have a small kitchen and had a small budget. I wanted new cabinets with more storage space--Nicole from Advance Design was very creative with ideas for increasing the number of cabinets/storage. I now have room in my kitchen to accommodate all of my kitchen "stuff"--pots and pans, dishes, cookie sheets, etc., etc. She was also very helpful with suggestions for materials (countertops) that look nice but fit in my small budget. The whole team was terrific in meeting deadlines. Jeff, the carpenter who worked on my project, has a terrific work ethic--he took pride in doing a great job and I am extremely satisfied with the results. The dry wall and painting folks came on time and did a terrific job. I would hire this company again if I ever need remodeling.

Advanced Design is an awesome company!!! It's been three years since our major project was completed and they exceeded our expectations!!! I highly recommend this company. We started with an archetech and then got a number of quotes and we were impressed with Advance Designs PowerPoint presentation of the transformation that was being proposed. The price came in lower than two other companies we were considering. Once the project got started, we actually went on vacation in an RV for a month while our house was being renovated: expanded kitchen (eliminating the dining room), two and a half bathrooms, hardwood floors, generator, carpeting, opening up walls, solatubes, painting, crown molding, insullation, etc., etc. They did a spectacular job! To come to the point quick,y, we love our new kitchen and could not have found anyone better to remodel it. It's the kitchen we always wanted. Advance Design brought in professionals who treated our kitchen as if they were remodeling their own kitchen and fussed over it accordingly. They even fixed a few flaws from the original builder in how the original base units were installed (we kept a few and those were the ones with problems). The computer renderings of what the project would look like when complete were extremely helpful. Because of them, we changed some colors and added some detail that made a big positive difference in the end result. We had a good idea of what we wanted to do, but asked for them to bring in their own ideas. We needed more storage and more counter space. We now have incredible storage and new Cambria counter tops. By adding a few feet in one area, changing the island to two levels, and installing an undermount sink we added a lot of usable counter top. Pricing was very competitive. They're coming back this year for a smaller job. We want to put down a wood floor in one room, clad some steps in oak to work with the wood flooring, and fix a problem in the basement left over from the home's original construction.

As an Architect in need of a local quality firm to satisfy my immediate interior remodeling requirements before we moved into our new home, I researched and chose the Advance Design Studio,itd in Gilbert, Il.
