Forst Construction is GREAT! My daughter and I recently built a house in Montauk, Long Island, New York. My daughter researched and we made an appointment with Forst Construction in East Hampton. Forst has a family history of building in the area and an excellent reputation. Michael Forst kept us in contact and called to discuss options during construction. His crew kept the work area safe as I visited the site sporadically, since I live in another state. He kept us up on progress. He was very careful with safety of his workers, and kept the worksite organized. The most amazing thing about the entire experience is Michael's ability to design the we wanted. My daughter and I spent several hours at Michael's office to discuss the house design we wanted. He showed us materials and took pages of notes. When Michael told us the plans were finished, I returned to East Hampton to review the plans. After we finished the review, he asked what we wanted changed. the answer was NOTHING! He had listed to what we wanted, and drew the plans!I don't know anyone else who has had an experience like this. As construction took place, we were notified. While installing the septic system in the lawn and texted a picture of a huge bolder that. He asked what we thought of the boulder, and suggested using it in the landscape. So we have an unusual landscape from many years under the earth, and saved money for other items we wanted.

When I was interviewing contractors to build our home, Forst construction understood the needs, interest and budget constraints immediately and spoke to what we could realistically manage within our budget. He was reassuring, reasonable and easy to talk with. I knew if we were going to have any chance at realizing our dreams, Michael would be the only builder we would choose. Michael understood our design vision right away. We were awe struck the first time we saw the renderings. They were perfect. The home is modern and warm- it is both a tree house and a beach house and there is room for everyone. There were complex decisions to make outside of the home design and home building process that took my mother and me years to get through…never once did Michael rush us… but he kept in touch and kept things moving forward. Conversely, Michael kept up his end of the timeline with absolute precision, a quality in a contractor that is a rarity, I know.

We highly recommend Forst Construction. Mr. Forst showed up exactly on time for all appointments. He conducted himself in a very professional manner. He performed two different jobs for us. The first was replacing our deck and the second was replacing our roof. Both jobs turned out great. Again, we only have positive things to say about our experience with Forst Construction

My wife and I recently worked with Forst on an exterior renovation of our home we purchased last Fall. Mike and the Forst team walked us through several options and made recommendations based on the look we were trying to achieve. Mike was in constant communication throughout the job with updates and timing. We are extremely pleased with the results and the project was completed on-time. There were a couple of things we noticed after the job was completed and it took no time at all to get them resolved.

Extremely professional, knowledgeable about design as well as materials so that the translation of your vision into reality is relatively seamless. We were quite pleased with the results of our house renovation completed by this firm. We were promised a date of completion and it was completed on time. eE expanded the house to nearly double of the square footage. The budget was adhered to and the knowledge and workmanship were exceptional. Even after the job was completed, they came back to fix little items that no one initially noticed. We would highly recommend this builder to all prospective customers.

After being in the real estate business for over 25 years and building and renovating 6 homes I was fortunate to have one of the most pleasurable and rewarding building experiences you can imagine. Forst Construction with Mike and Amy leading the team provided my wife and I with a smooth, mainly stress free, on time and on budget beautiful new house. Michael is a third generation builder and he has the building business ingrained and works to find the most up to date practices and materials. He has energy, drive and ambition and takes real pride in his work and in building a home that you will be comfortable in for years to come. He did my project in 10 months from start to finish-it would have been quicker but I held him up with some of my choices. He was on budget except for the extras that I put in and with those he always gave me a written work order to approve before he did the work thereby eliminating those surprises. I just need to mention some of the highlights starting with staying in touch. Imagine having a builder that from the beginning to the present always took or returned my calls within 15 minutes. A builder that not only gets it done but one that gets it done correctly, even if he needs to have a particular tradesman redo their work. The quality is excellent, as I write this on a cold winter day I am sitting in my home next to a door and in front of 3 large windows and not feeling any breeze from the 18 mph winds coming in over the bay. I have been in my house for 3 months now and have had several occasions to get some work tweaked. Although he has been fully paid he continues to give me the time and service when I need. The right builder is essential to successful project. Once you are in the process you need someone that knows his business, has a good team assembled, one that takes pride in his work, and perhaps most importantly is trustworthy. Michael Forst has these qualities and more. I wholeheartedly recommend that you speak with him if you are considering building.
