We have been thoroughly impressed with the patience, knowledge and personal care given by the team from my initial phone call with all my questions and concerns about putting wood counters in a kitchen remodel, to templating and installation. Going the extra mile seems to be their mantra. Oh, and the finished product is gorgeous!

From start to finish, Glenn, at Sprague Woodworking was an incredible guide to choosing and installing a stunning mahogany island countertop. It was clear that he was very interested in understanding in specific detail what I was hoping for and offering many suggestions on ways to achieve a beautiful outcome. We recently had Sprague build and install a mahogany top for a new wet bar in our home. From the initial conversation, to picking up the completed piece, they made the whole process easy, offered great advice, and worked with us to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. Sprague just installed gorgeous walnut counters and backsplashes in my butler's pantry. They are beautiful. Glenn and Alex were very easy to work with. I went to the shop where Glenn explained all my options and helped to think creatively about what I wanted. They delivered 2 weeks early (unheard of!!!) and on budget. I highly recommend!

It took me a long time to decide on a wood countertops. I understand the pros and cons, but this was my bucket list kitchen and so wood it was. I actually don't mind small scratches (or even big ones!) and stuff because this is intended to be a working kitchen, not a showpiece for friends. I was willing to work with anyone in the country—and found the best fit basically in my own backyard: Sprague Woodworking in Harvard, MA. There are only a few subcontractors I would give my number to to use as a personal reference. Sprague is one of those. Given that this was my bucket list kitchen and that I am fairly OCD, I was very detail-oriented and asked a lot of the Sprague team. But they worked with me to be as flexible as they could to meet my many needs. The design, the templating, the wood lot, the artistry of how it was put together, all of it was high-quality, top to bottom. I had them create and install perimeter countertops comprised of 2" stained planked Sipo Mahogany, an island with butcher block 2" stained Sipo Mahogany, and a wood shelf to fit in a bay window above the main sink. And, they had to figure out how to do a die cut for a custom-made drop-in copper sink. Plus, they worked with me to create a small ogee moulding that served as a lovely transition from the wood to my custom tile backslash. The rounded edge on the end of the bar, the fit to the appliances, everything—everything—was exceptional. Whit Sprague and his son, Alex, exceeded my expectations across the board for this project. They are on the top of my list of contractors to recommend to anyone wanting a fair-priced, high-quality job. Thank you Whit and Alex, and everyone at Sprague Woodworking who took the time to make my vision a reality. I walk into that kitchen every day now and run my hand along those beautiful countertops. You have fulfilled my dreams.

Luckily we ran into Sprague while searching online for wood countertop solutions. Not only are they competitive on price but superior on quality. When I asked Glenn if they had a showroom, the answer was "their shop was the showroom". Went in to order my mohogany island countertop and was beyond impressed with the wood shop along with the personable service, displayed craftsmanship, and outstanding knowledge. We had Sprague make us a walnut island top and we asked them to select boards of similar color to have a more consistent look throughout the piece. We are thrilled and the island is really the focal point of the kitchen. It's gorgeous and would recommend Sprague to anyone wanting a beautiful and timeless piece like this.

It's a rarity, and worth celebrating, when reality exceeds our expectations. This is how I felt when the custom wood counters I had made by Sprague were installed. The process of choosing what I wanted and ordering were seamless and enjoyable, but nothing prepared me for when the final product was delivered. The counters are extraordinary. They fit perfectly, no tweaking needed, and are the highlight of my kitchen renovation. There is no need to look elsewhere, this company has mastered the art of customer service along with a very high quality product. I am now trying to figure out what else I "need" so I can get them back!

We recently finished having a semi-custom designed home successfully built in Hopkinton, MA. The abundance of choices and communication with different contractors was a year-long education.
