This project began with a request from the homeowner, inquiring if we would build counter tops out of reclaimed lumber. The lumber had been removed from a 200 year old cottage located on the famous island of Nantucket, MA. The lumber was in very poor condition but Sprague Woodworking was able to remove all the nails and screws, plane the wood down and re-use it in the construction of three different kitchen island tops. We also were commissioned to build the cabinetry and shelving!
