California Closets Maryland

My initial good experience has turned into a frustrating one. I ordered closets and had an install date in mid June. I actually tried to move the date to July and was told no. Well when the installers showed up, they had NO drawers. My designer told me the day before installation that the drawers had not shown up from the manufacturer in Eastern Europe. (So of course I should have been allowed to delay to July)....But the most maddening part of this is that TWO MONTHS later I still have NO drawers and cannot get a straight answer on when they will arrive. Is anyone else having this issue? The closet is half useless without drawers. I have used CC in other cities without incident. I KNOW FULL WELL there are supply chain issues globally. But the lack of response is not acceptable. I would have gotten ZERO info if I had not stayed on it and contacted the rep periodically. So install was June 13. Today August 10 I still have NO DRAWERS and no answers. Buyer beware.

California Closet installed a desk/pantry solution. Despite a helpful sales experience, the install and subsequent experience was very disappointing. The install included missing parts and the wrong parts. Months later faulty doors were discovered. And months after that over $1,500 had not been invoiced appropriately due to no fault of my own. There are simply too many unpleasant surprises with California Closet. I am very disappointed and will not work with them again.

I ordered a wall unit in Dove White/Shaker Doors on 29 Oct 2018 through, I believe, the Annapolis showroom. My consultant was Kate Bjorke. Installation was scheduled for 7 Dec 2018. I was really disappointed that it would take that long for a installation, but because I loved my previous unit that was done in Hawaii, I sucked it up and have waited. On 3 Dec I was told that they did not have the Dove White in stock to make my unit? I was given a discount to accept Classic White, but still wasn't told why my color was not in stock. It wasn’t for a lack of lead time. I received an arrival window of between 0900 and 0930 on 7 Dec. At 0945, I received a phone call telling me that the Shaker Doors, were not in stock and they suggest I accept temporary substitute doors so I can use my Unit today. Since I need the Unit installed, I accepted the temporary doors, but could not be given a time frame for when my doors would be available. I have bragged about California Closets to everyone based on my previous experience in Hawaii. In fact, several people in my condominium complex are eagerly awaiting my installation because they too want to have units built in their condos. Needless to say, they will not get high praise from me and I will suggest they try another company for their units because this one does not have its act together.

This was a very professional experience. Complete and innovative design, coupled with efficient and effective installation, provided a great enhancement to our space.

I have three walk in closet all design by California Closet in Maryland. Obviously because I had the three install on different date gives you the message that I am very well satisfied with the work they did in my closet.I opted not to do it all at the same time cause I was not sure if I would be satisfy with the work but I was indeed very satisfied. Ariel, the design consultant is also very good. She's very accurate.

California Closets Maryland designed and installed the closets, kitchen pantry, garage system, and a custom cabinet for our 6 foot wine cooler in our brand new home. Our designer, Bridgette is amazing--she incorporated our ideas with some terrific storage solutions that meet our needs and that are absolutely beautiful! Installation was scheduled just two days before we moved in, and the team not only met the deadline, but left the spaces cleaner than they found them! We couldn't be happier with the quality of the product, the style/color options, professionalism of everyone we encountered , and the entire experience with the company!

We have used California Closets twice in the last year. First for our mudroom last spring and then for our master bedroom closet a month ago. WOW! Kristin is awesome to work with and our closets look great and work great! Scheduling is so easy, everyone is so professional and our closets are beautiful! The tear out and installation are both professional and very clean also!

I started a design for 2 closets with Melissa Taylor, Design Consultant, in mid-September 2016. She came out, she measured and worked on a design, and she set up a specific date for her manager, Emily Giebel, to look at the job. Manager never showed up or called and neither of them have followed up. After 1 month I called, explained there's been no contact, and was told she still worked there and either Melissa or Emily would call me back. I have not been contacted at all and another month has gone by. I guess California Closets doesn't need any business. I needed my job done by Dec 3rd.

We received a few estimates for our master bedroom closets. The other ones wanted to focus on promoting their company, which is fine. But then Ariel came to look at our closets and, using intuitive questions and an interactive computer program, she found out exactly what we were looking for. Working within our budget and space limitations, she came up with a design that fit all our needs. What was once a totally inefficient use of closet space became a beautiful and functional home for our belongings! We still have some extra space left, and what we have moved into the closets is all easy to access and organize. The installers were also stellar - respectful, expeditious, and very helpful.

Fantastic, from start to finish!! Kristin, our designer, was fun and a dream to work with. She made the best use of our three closets and never dropped the ball; she always responded quickly to questions and solved the couple of minor issues perfectly & to our complete satisfaction. We love going into our new MBR walk-in closet. This Annapolis, MD is a wonderful franchise and it's a great product. The tear out & installation workmanship of Mike and his team was great; they did a beautiful job and left the closet spaces and surrounding areas spotless. Very well done, Scott & team; thank you!

Kristin Salaski (Severna Park store) was wonderful to work with. She was professional, friendly, kind and answered all of my questions about environmental impact. She researched what I wanted more detailed information on. She is the reason we went with California Closets and not a competitor. The competitor was "snooty" and pushy. The young man that came to install was equally professional and did a great job. Both are fine people to represent your company.

Our designer Bridgette did a very good job of designing our closets as per our requirements within our budget. We got our Master, Living shelves and Mud room closets done, and we are satisfied with the outcome.
