I highly recommend Dawn Hearn of Dawn Hearn Interior Design. For the past two years, Dawn has worked with me to design my new construction home. Every single decision regarding each finish and fixture, both interior and exterior, were made with Dawn’s expertise and advice. She helped me choose all the furniture with her impeccable design knowledge and has turned what could have been a stressful, overwhelming process into an absolutely wonderful experience. Having worked with various designers in the past, one thing that stands out about Dawn is how she is able to balance sharing her preferences directly while allowing me space to express my own style (I don’t like when designers beat around the bush!). She gives me options, but, at times, I ask her to make the choice because I trust her entirely. Dawn has a great attitude and has responded promptly and patiently to all of my many, many questions. Without a doubt, I will trust Dawn will any and every design project that I tackle in the future.

We have been in our home for 15 years and decided it was time to give it a facelift. After Dawn was referred to me from a friend, we met and she took on the project. Dawn Hearn performed design services for us in the building of our new custom home. We heard of Dawn from neighbors who recommended her to us. She is fantastic! This was our first time to update anything in our house and she was more helpful than we ever expected. Dawn is a good listener and makes thoughtful suggestions which are even better than what you thought you liked or wanted. She suggested that we begin our kitchen renovation by selecting countertops and flooring, and then move on to smaller details, such as fixtures, plumbing and paint. We then decided to paint the bookcases in the adjacent den, including painting all of the walls in the den, LR, DR, entry and powder room. Everything coordinated beautifully. She worked well with our contractor and always made sure that no detail was left out, which saved us time and money. We will soon be looking forward to using Dawn's services again to update our master bath.

Dawn is wonderful and professional. My project is a house remodel. Within the hour consultation, she had correctly gathered my wishes and thoughts. I called her in to help me when it seemed like I was stuck in neutral and the contractors needed design choices. The remodel project had (as they seem to do), gotten much bigger then originally planned (a full kitchen upgrade turned into a whole house upgrade). I had gotten overwhelmed and needed professional help when it came to choices for my kitchen cabinets, backsplash etc. Do I go with paint or stain for my cabinets? She designed 3 beautiful bathrooms using colors and style from our conversations. Dawn is respectful and smart. She put a plan together quickly. Dawn provided design assistance for our kitchen-utility room-family room-butler's pantry "refresh" project. She helped me make product and color choices, coordinated closely with the contractor and assisted me in pulling it all together once the work was completed. She did a wonderful job. Among her strengths is that she is a good listener. She quickly "got" my style and project goals and offered practical suggestions to make it all work. She found excellent suppliers, and guided me through the process of selecting fixtures, hardware, lighting, counter tops, etc., ensuring that all my selections worked well together. She was mindful of cost and accessible for questions. I thoroughly enjoyed working with her.

I have been more than pleased from using Dawn Hearn to assist me in furnishing my three bedroom two bath Northwest Austin home. We started with the paint color. She saw the importance of coordinating the color with the existing fireplace brick I love the colors she chose. I would have never been able to achieve such a professional affect as she did. Next , she help me with the furniture layout for each room. The living room was particularly problematic and she helped me navigate it skillfully. The functionality of each room was achieved as well as scale and balance. She prevented me from making many costly mistakes. There never was a single problem nor mistake I plan to continue to use her in the future and highly recommend her to everyone !
