Interviewed Yard+ and was impressed by plant knowledge. Hired to clean up old landscaping overrun by maple trees, raspberries and invasives. Did excellent job beyond my capacity (age). We were delighted, start to finish, with the team at A Yard and A Half! Carolyn took my "wish list" and designed something that surpassed my expectations (but not my budget, which I appreciate!). We now have two new yards - front and back - that are interesting, easy to maintain, and a delight to see from both inside AND outside our home! Erica took Carolyn's design and with her team of professional landscapers, brought it to life. We love watching people walk by our house and smile at our new front yard. We hired a Yard and a Half first to execute a LONG overdue clean up of trees, invasive vines and perimeter plantings. The reason for this email is not simply to praise the quality of their work, the professionalism of EVERYONE on their crew and the timeliness of their interactions with us, but rather to note that in many ways, both large and small, they exceeded the requirements of our agreement. They found issues with downspouts, and fixed them. They were able to execute tasks faster than estimated, and offered to do extra work because they still had budget remaining to do so. When was the last time you got that type of professionalism from ANYONE? The best recommendation I can give is repeat business. We re-hired them to do another job along the south wall, and look forward to more work next spring. I tip my hat to the foreperson, and every gentleman on her crew. What a class act.

The design and implementation exceeded my expectations. First, they dug out far more tree root system than I knew existed but that had prevented grass growth for decades. Second, they built a rock wall that I just love - every time I see it. Third, they returned to replace some sod that had not taken. Finally, here was are 6 months later and the design and new yard has held up as if it were just finished. Everyday when I come home I enjoy the result. Everyone who participated were very helpful. They did a great, professional job and were great people to work with. See before and after photos attached.
